My mic is currently buried, but I have some comments.
If you're having trouble with mics, I'd reccomend a PG-48. It's an XLR plug, but it's a dam good mic.
Also, I have an old sound editing program, that lets me easily eliminate backround noise. PM me a link, and I can PM you a noiseless version if you do so choose.
To those of you who remember the TKVC from #2K, you might remember what I mean.

Due to your voice echoing inside your head, you hear it totally differently from other people. And my mother-tongue accent is a lot stronger than I thought it was. (guess which English-speaking country I actually live in!)
