I should have mentioned, I'm not from a particularly rich family. The furthest I've been from home is Spain in 2011. Fursuit are like £1000 and then I'd have to fly to a different country. I do have friends in Sweden and Germany though...or is it Norway and Germany? The Rookie wrote:From memory (And I may be totally wrong on this since I sit on the fringe of this stuff) the largest convention in Europe occurs in Germany every year, and there's another one somewhere in Scandinavia (Sweden?).

I guess the only thing I can suggest for that is to try and work for it. Maybe pick up a second job for a bit and save enough money for either the suit or the con this year and maybe the other next year. If you're really lucky you might be able to do both.Butterscotch wrote:-Money restraints-

I know this Problem (Although I probably wouldn't ever wear a fursuit I would be interested in getting to a con sometimes ^^)Butterscotch wrote:Im still a student, i don't even have a job yet!The Rookie wrote:I guess the only thing I can suggest for that is to try and work for it. Well I guess in that case your primary goal for the moment would be to get said job, earn the cash and then pay your way. You'd be surprised how quickly someone can make a $1000 with only a few hours a week.Butterscotch wrote:I'm still a student, i don't even have a job yet!
Seriously though, if this is something you really want to do, I encourage you to take the steps you need to to see it through. Best of luck

Re: What kind of Furry are you?
So, something crossed my mind tonight.
As a kid, my mom would always say "if you don't want people seeing what you are looking at, or knowing what you are doing, then maybe you shouldn't be doing it." Til now, a lot of things I've seen and done has kind of proved her wrong, in one way or another.
I hide certain webpages around my brother because there's a chance at stumbling upon M rated material, and I want to protect him from that. I'm not inherently going after that material, though that stuff isn't inherently a bad find 100% of the time... but the idea is that it's there, and I didn't want him to see it.
But then you get to stuff like the fandom. I don't want to be judged by this interest. After 7 years of being in the fandom, I've become pretty tied into it. I don't want to be judged, but also from day one I wanted the power of deniability. I wanted to be able to one day decide I was done with the fandom, and just walk away from it. If people knew I was a furry, then that wouldn't be possible. People would keep thinking I was a furry, or else people I barely knew would start pestering me because they heard from so-and-so that I was "into that bestiality group". The half-life would be too long to want to deal with.
And so I've hid this interest from damn near everyone I know, even despite the fact that I made a friend because of it...
For a year or so, I've started to feel like, I dunno. Like it's time to decide. What is this? Is it an interest, a hobby, or a life style? All I do in the fandom is browse 3 websites and [censored] on these forums, but my life is class, sleep, internet- so something like the fandom is basically three-sixths of one-third of my personality.
Now all this internet bullying is driving me up a wall, though. So even online I hide my identity. I don't know who I am, and I don't know how the walls should be placed anymore.

Re: What kind of Furry are you?
I wouldn't say they're all butthurt furries, as there are a few none furries, but aside from that I agree with you there.
Re: What kind of Furry are you?
Actually I misunderstood that in a different way. I thought you meant that all of the who complained were butthurt furries, and I have come across a few people who got up in arms because someone was into it in some manner or to some degree, both online and offline (although I'm not going to say that all of them who complain aren't butthurt in some manner). Also, as far as someone getting upset when others don't enjoy their hobbies, that's true of a lot of types, not just furries either.

Truthfully i wouldn't be a furry but, instead a scaly(u kno like an "antropomorphic" dragon) unless it was a fuzzy dragon then i guess i would be a furry. Also, i'm new here and don't excactly know what's going on... so ideas and help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

For starters, the code for your dragon egg links is in the wrong format, and I'm not sure if you just wanted to post it or put it in your signature. If you wanted that to show up under all your posts, there's a place for that
This is what the code for your dragon eggs should look like (I only did one, and I put two "x"s in it so you could see what I did. If you replicate it, leave those out for it to work)

Re: What kind of Furry are you?
I'm introverted online. I'm very outgoing in person, but you have to be someone I'm interested in getting to know/become friends with(in the fandom). I'm picky because I've had some bad experiences within the fandom.
If someone asks me if I'm a furry I won't deny it, but it's not something I share unless asked.

Oh.
I didn't realize that.
