Some context. I was in a class in college, my professor is a Mechanical Engineer and effortlessy drew a rather complex mechanism on the whiteboard for the class. The man can really draw. and then he commented the following:
Professor wrote: It is not that hard to draw sketches like this, but most of you have never drawn like this and will never do. Back in the day we all had to draw our blueprints with ruler and pen an skill you do not have and that due to AutoCAD and similar is fading away. But do not worry for the same reason you have developed different skills that we do not have....
Althought I have no idea what those skill are or what they are good for but you are supposed to have them.
