I managed to see a 35mm showing of John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), my favorite movie of all time, at a local cinema tonight.

* does happy dance *

Just got back from a friend's 18th birthday party. So of course he's taking advantage of the bars/clubs. This is Candidialand remember, the land of younger, legal boozers hehe. I was kind of expecting to drink a bit, but everyone wanted me to DD... <insert rage face here>

Anyways, it was a pretty awesome night nonetheless. Even though the birthday guy spent most of it passed out in the dorms. He passed out at 10:00 pm. I get arrive at 10:30ish to find him sprawled out on the floor in a freaking hilarious position. I found out later on in the night that some of his other "friends" shaved off his eyebrow, part of his leg for some reason, and just went crazy with a black marker. I would not want to be him in the morning, and I can't even begin to imagine the hangover he's going to have.

But it was a pretty sweet night, and very needed. And it's the weekend as well. So all is now good. :D

I have been working on editing my first story of any length, which is about 2 years old now, and I'm slapping myself for all the grammar mistakes and frags that I threw in there. But I'm happy that I finally decided to edit it.

After getting home from my friends house and playing BorderLands until three in the morning, I come home to see "Army of Darkness" is playing....

I watched Yu-gi-oh:The abridged series for the first time in a long while. Still as funny as when I stopped watching it. (I didn't find any more episodes until now.)

Yes, the abridged series is win.

I think I may have died of nostalgia here. :kathrin:

I would have too if I weren't so unfamiliar with Rogue flying. As far as I recall, she could only steal powers temporarily. :keith:

On the cartoon, she used her powers on another superhero, and put that person into a coma.
Apparently, using her powers to drain to that extent makes it permanent.
But that's just on the show. :kathrin:

Only wish I could put this in my signature, :( but it is 375 characters and we can only have 255, but I guess it is still cool. :P
