What do you think about the book? (if you have it, that is)
I recived my book yesterday (why so late? : i live in friggin' holland -.-) and i started reading it.
i got a few remarks though. first: my book has 3 blank pages between page 51 and 52, the story however isn't missing. more people have that?
second: the 'end' of the book is different from what happens at the webcomic. wich is a good thing if ya ask me. why? the webcomic doesn't have an 'end' in that place. the book's 'ending' is nicely worked out though! it's kind of an open end, but not too open. if you wouldn't know about the webcomic and just read the novel you'd think it would have a sequel (at least my friend did, and he didn't know about 2kinds.com ti'll this morning:P).
last: it's smaller than i expected, especially since the packidge (at least mine) is almost twice as big. than i rememberd something calling the book 'novel-sized' wich it is, so basicly, there is nothing wrong with the size, i was just being an aretard .
all and all, i have no real complains. there were no missen pages, complete different plots or anything. final judgement: [censored]-SWEEEEEEET X3
let's hope the second book'll be ready soon ^^ (there will be a second, right?)
anyway, let me know what you think. also if ya had the same blank-page-issue. Thanks

Jeez, it sounds like this publishing company really dropped the ball on everything. Pages falling out on arrival, blank pages, one-month shipping... Next time it may be better not to run production through Discount Printers R' Us.

Yeah, the book was amazing; however, the publisher was not. I had numerous pages fall out of my original copy upon touching them, and had to ask for a replacement.
All-in-all, though, pretty good book to keep in a bookshelf, and pull out every now and then to look back and laugh.

That is a bummer. Then again, the publisher can just as easily say it was Tom's responsibility to check the quality when it arrived, same way it was their responsibility to print it to some degree of quality. That's why I buy through Amazon.

Loved the added ending and only one page fell out. I placed it back in as deeply as I could an don't have problems anymore. I think It was really nice and shiny, too.

The books great. I guess I was lucky enough to get the normal shipping time and no pages falling out. You're the first to mention actual blank pages; really what happened at printing...
The Map and the few extra new pages at the end are a nice touch ^^.

I loved the map. It showed some towns and the added Keidran groups. In the future books do you think the town's names they will come across will be mentioned or not? I'd be a nice touch.

I haven't checked, but the towns they've been in so far? Iirc, there names haven't been mentioned, but I would suppose they're on the map as well? Will we find out someday? ^^.

Minor continuity error in the added section.

Yay! The book has finally arrived ^^
Cost £30 and took 2 weeks to get here but well worth every penny and the wait for it as well
I totally wasnt expecting the book to be near pocket size either, was expecting an A4 print xP
But I still love it how it is, hopefully its size will not let it get damaged as eazy, good quality book that Im gunna enjoy owning/reading all the time

I love the webcomic and i love the book. editing the original comic here and there made it so much easier to read (especially in book format), and the added pages are great.
and somehow i got two copies, but im not complaining

I went back through the comic and it turns out that I was slightly mistaken about any continuity error.Schrodinger wrote:Minor continuity error in the added section.
