According to Tom's dA, they'll only be available for online order through IndyPlanet. Once (and if) he figures out how, he'll make them available on Amazon and bookstores and the like.

Still, once they're available, they'll so be worth getting.

I am wondering, the site says "Preorder books release on January 5th!". I would assume that this is the day Tom ships all the books that were preordered. Does anyone know the approximated shipping time? 2 days? A week? (I have not a clue what would be a feasible timespan).

I hope it's no more than a week. I go back to school on the 12th and wont be coming back home for a while. I guess I could get my parents to ship it to me.

Hmm, well typical ground delivery is like 3 - 5 business days. So if you are in the continental US maybe Canada and Mexico, I'd imagine that long for delivery. Outside that, I'd say longer.

If I don't get one of the ones with the doodle (I definitely get the signed one) is there any way to get it?

Yeah, if you know Tom.
He may if you mail it to him asking him for it. (I would recommend paying for shipping both ways, though) I don't know about you, but I'm cracking mine open the minute I get it.
I would just keep my fingers crossed. Even if you don't get it, remember you are among the elite getting a signed copy.

...and of course, my internet goes down the instant the book comes out! God damn you, Murphy. I will get you!

Huh, Garrett? The book isn't to be released for another 3 days (and then shipping time)...

I meant I was unable to preorder the book, and that makes me very sad. I blame Murphy.

I'd recommend waiting. If something really went wrong, Tom will get ahold of you personally. My personal guess is that something happened (printer jam, label stuck on something and tore, etc...), so Tom's going to reprint your shipping label, but maybe it requires him to cancel the existing shipping label before running a reprint. That cancellation message was what you received. You could try emailing or PM'ing Tom about it directly, too, or seeing if he's in the IRC chatroom (which would provide the fastest response).
