I'm not sure Tom would appreciate rolling in doe so much as some of the more furry members of the forum. Myself, for instance; you have no idea how much I would like to be rolling in doe.
I would also love rolling in doe. however, rolling in inu-girl (like a neko, only a dog) would be just as good, if not better.
EDIT: also, got my preorder in on Friday! I really hope i get a sketch, but know I probably won't.
I doubt any of us, buy a copy that wasn't here. I buy few hours after Nayruden and I didn't got any notice about it.I bet thatTom would have noticed the person if a purchase without book had happened... and now our dear artist will have to do more or less 500 skretches to send to his readers that preorder his books. I'm ready to bet that this won't be an easy job.

I lost my chance to get (signed) copy of book
I'm sure that, if you sent it to Tom once you got it, with a note explaining, he'd be happy to sign it and send it back to you. I would just be sure to send a prepaid envelope for the return shipping.
Meh, it saddens me that i've discovered TwoKinds far too late to get in on the preordering, but this gives me a reason to look foward to Janurary so I can get a normal order copy. It will be the new centerpiece to my Manga collection, yes.
