That's right Tom! Fight the system, 99% is too clichéd. Can't wait for the preorder announce...got my funds all in order (not that it took a whole lot of effort).

Re: Book Completion Progress
woot way to go Tom! I want a book!
It's 2 cents. Some people (usually outside the US) put their dollar denomination after the value, thus .02$ is the same as $.02 (but i think he just misspoke by saying 2 cents twice in 2 different ways at the same time)FoobyKamikaze wrote:Wait, $.02 or .02¢?
If it's .02¢ that's cutting expenses a bit too much. My book better not fall apart due to crappy materials!

MEEEEEEEEEH
I Need This XD
Also, when we preorder, do we need to pay or is it just like saying "Save me a copy"?
Also, I don't have Paypal, is it possible to send the money through the mail with a note saying who it's from?
That way, people who don't have paypal can get the book more easily

I'm pretty sure that it's illegal to send cash through the mail. Paypal FTW.Painseeker wrote:MEEEEEEEEEH

As for a release date, Tom did say late 2008. So it's before December 31st. Unless Tom says otherwise, that is your "ish" date

Re: Book Completion Progress
It's not illegal, it's just a bad idea. But that's what checks and money orders are for.C_Death wrote:I'm pretty sure that it's illegal to send cash through the mail. Paypal FTW.

With the state of all that is going on, it is too easy for one of the MANY people that would handle the mail to....hmmmm cash....[ pocket]. And there you have it, lost in the mail.avwolf wrote:It's not illegal, it's just a bad idea. I just convert it to dollars and nobody cares (I live in the UK)
I wonder if Tom will allow payment with this method

Re: Book Completion Progress
If you're in Britain, Paypal would take a decent portion of your money in order to send it to Tom. If I were in his position, I would rather get the money in the mail than get it from Paypal. OF course, I can't speak for him.
It's ridiculous though... If you sell something on eBay for $20 and get paid via Paypal, you're lucky to get $15.

Well, I spoke to Tom and he is unable to accept money sent by mail
But it turns out I can get a Paypal account so all's good XD
