OK so, how do I download they new software onto my 1st gen ipod touch. (I know its on itunes for 10 bucks)
If its available for free somewhere, that would be more helpful.

Speed might be able to. Not sure exactly what he did, but he helped me out getting things sorted out with mine, including hacks and whatnot. Working great, so far.

Hey AP do you have MSN or AIM or Skype? I can help you get 2.2 for free. Also if you want hacks I can help with that. With hacks you can get backrounds, extra games (I have doom and quake on my ipod because of it) and some other stuff.

Update to 2.2 first. From there is preaty straight forward.
