Ok so I'm looking at getting a new intake on my truck....the question is...snorkel or cold air. And if cold air can you help me find one (and link me to a snorkel too). Thanks!

snorkel...
if you get a cold air intake and you go through the wrong puddle say bye bye to your connecting rods.

I honestly dont plan to go through water if and when I FINALLY get to go off road. XD My truck is still completely stock D: and...where can i get a snorkel? Also how hard is it to get my differential welded up. And is that easier and cheaper then just buying a new differential? I want a locked or Limited slip for when I finially take it offroad XD/lucky wrote:snorkel...

get a snorkel. just search it. Cause you just said you plan to take it off road.
Im not too familiar with off road applications but a locked or limited slip would be your best bet. as the stock differential allows just one wheel to spin when it looses traction causing your explorer to dig in. Id also look into some knobby or treaded tires along with a 2 to 6 inch lift.
But most importantly and this should be the first thing you buy...
A WINCH! the bigger the better. nothing worse than getting stuck and having to wait on a friend to bail you out and they get stuck too. get a winch. next thing for you truck I cannot stress this enough. nothing better than tying a cable around a tree and effortlessly pulling yourself out from a mud pit.

I am trying some light offroading in a few months and if i do like it then yea the winch will be my next buy....i kinda also wanted to build a Salleen XP6 from my truck. I thought that would be even cooler XDlucky wrote:get a snorkel. just search it. Cause you just said you plan to take it off road.

I would get a short ram intake then and not a cold air intake.

Re: Car questions you have but are afraid to ask...
There cant be that much of a difference between a 94 and 95.
Re: Car questions you have but are afraid to ask...
It can be MADE to fit, if you have a good enough dremel. Just like you can take the bypass valve off an '86 2.3lima and put on a 91 3.0 vulcan.....assuming you are really good with an exacto knife and have some spare cork sitting around :p
