Great, now the forum's now so unreliable it won't show my images. Ah well, if you still want to see it the URL's this:
http://imgur.com/a/DbQIP
I think that imgur image system needs some explaination :

The first link isn't an image at all ! Imgur uses url rewriting and wrapping.

Url rewriting :
http://imgur.com/a/DbQIP.jpg is a link that asks a scripted page (php) on imgur.com to get the resource DbQIP.jpg, which is completely different from DbQIP.JPG, DbQIP.jPg, and so ...

Wrapping :
You know that http://imgur.com/a/DbQIP is just a resource, but to show it to users, imgur wraps that resource in html code, so the user can interact with (comments, likes, ...) : this is in fact imgur website UI (user interface). Because of that, the forum detects the link as html, and not as an image.

Now, go to this link (the one without ".jpg"), right click on the picture, then click on "view image" ... and voilà !
You got the (almost) real link to your pic : https://i.imgur.com/h5gX9Ty.png

So what has changed : first your pic is a .png one not .jpg as you expected, then, notice the 'i' before domain name ... it's called subdomain. Imgur uses another (or lots of) server to host the images. This is this picture (resource) that the script i talked about above gets and wraps.
and here, no script to wrap them, you get them in "raw".

If you have other questions feel free to ask ;)

Meh all I understood was to open the image in a new tab, copy that URL, and stick it in the img thingy with an extra .jpg at the end of it.

Why, thank you, good sir! (Or lady, or whatever you are).

Did you just assume my gender?

I've noticed recently that some images which may be linked to host sites such as Photobucket, Image Shack, Imgur and others are not showing up on this forum...primarily in user sigs and occasionally on some posts. This is obviously not a new issue, as ThunderVolt brought the same thing up a few months ago on this thread although I've seen such things more frequently as of late. I discussed the same problems with Darkmoon and Tapewolf a couple days ago on another forum I'm on in reference to a few avatars not showing up there. Anyway, both of them think it may be due to changes in user policies on some of those image host sites. The links are now coming up with a generic image or 404 error. I just wanted to make users aware of this problem. It's possible a link change could fix a couple images, like in the case with ThunderVolt, but I can't be too certain about such a solution in these instances.

EDIT: A website re-load could also fix some of these, I've noticed. S:P Regardless of that, I'll keep this post up since the issue still tends to exist from time to time. I'm aware that being able to file upload images (to certain limits) have remedied some of the problems, but not all forums I've been a part of have such a privilege.

Ya, but it hasn't been as frequent for me. Mostly it's been images that never show up regardless.

Dadrobit mentioned that many of Kia's pictures aren't showing up on his artwork thread, so it's more than just the usual. In his case, it seems to be a user policy change with Photobucket referencing third party hosting. Plenty of these showing up...

It's possible that other image hosting sites could follow suit, if not already, but too early to tell at the moment.
