Making 720p look like 1080p

#1 Post by ZNickel »

I'm currently on holiday and using my laptop, its resolution is 720p. Normally, I use my powerful computer with a 1080p monitor. I particularly like my monitor at home because everything on it is small, so is there any way to shrink the everything screen on my laptop, i.e. viewing everything on my laptop screen at 80%, like you can on a web browser?

Not really, you should be able to shrink the default font size some, and possibly the window top bars as well - google for how to enlarge the window bars and or fonts, and then change it the other way(i.e. to 80% instead of 115%).
The limit, however, will be keeping the fonts readable - you only have so many pixels. So long as it's readable, you should be able to shrink stuff as much as you want, with the default font size(and or DPI setting).
