Movie Maker-like software

#1 Post by ZNickel »

Anyone know of a simple video editing program like WMM Vista? I have Adobe Premiere Elements 8 but that won't run on my laptop so I just need a simple editor like WMM. Can anyone suggest one?

I have some experience with Vegas Video 7, and it does a very nice job but it is quite complex and takes a while to get used to. It's also relatively expensive.

From what I have tried this far. If I remember correctly, I liked Pinnacle Studio more than the others (while they are pretty similar, anyway), but it's being years since I haven't done any video editing, so the experience may vary.

Camtasia Studio, which also includes a nice screen recorder
Cyberlink PowerDirector 10
Roxio Creator
Pinnacle Studio

There is many more, such like VirtualDub and even VLC's Movie creator, which both are open source and free. The website Alternative To is quite useful for looking for an alternative, commercial or free, and discover new ones. :D

Here is some examples for Windows.
