OS, what do you have(New for 2011)?

#1 Post by RobbieThe1st »

Due to a necropost on This topic, I got the idea of seeing how thing have changed in the last two years.

Anyway, this poll is pretty straight forward: Pick the OS that corresponds do your /most used/ OS as of /Today/.

Personally, Debian Linux. I've got it on my laptop, desktop, server, and even a chroot on my phone!
I have a dual-boot with W7 on my laptop for gaming, but... never have I hated Windows more. :\

Upgraded to windows 7 earlier this year. It hasn't given me any problems so far, can't see why many people don't like it. Windows vista I can understand though.

I use Windows 7, used to be using Windows XP the most until my XP drive died. That REALLY sucked, because I lost a ton of [censored] on it. (Mostly save games and stuff.)

Funny you should mention that: The number two reason people claim that Windows is better than Linux is that you don't have the command line(number 1 being lack of games/apps). Yet as you(and I) prove, not only does the windows command line still exist, it's actually needed in a number of cases

This is a complicated question. I think I'd technically have to answer Windows XP, since that's what's on the machine at work that I spend eight hours a day on. Of course, I spend that eight hours sitting on CentOS5 boxen (hate CentOS, hate hate). I've got a couple of Gentoo servers too, but I don't get to spend enough time on them. My home computers are Win7 (mostly), but the few hours a night I get to spend on them doesn't out weigh all the work time for "OS I use most."

Still using XP, Got the software for 7 but can’t for two reasons.
1. Never installed an OS before.
2. Just can’t seem to let go of my XP.

Windows 7. Not sure why so many people I have met hate it so much. I like it. I do not find it Macish like I've heard people say it is. And In essence it is almost the same as Vista. Seriously It's almost the same as far as I can tell in many aspects. Though I have not dug into a computer deeply in nearly a year since I left Germany. But I actually hated XP (Mostly do to useing it nonstop in [censored] dell comps at school).
