Vista, it eats system resources like noones business, my uncle has it. He had the fastest comptuer I have seen(not that I have heard of though) at about 4 ghz overclocked with insane video card and memory capabilities. Vista runs slightly sluggish on his system. (Sorry all you gamers out there, vista is not the os for you.)
How'd your uncle get it? My dad got it through his MSDN subscription, so I'm just wondering. Also, most likely he is running a beta which of course will run slower. I'm betting the final version will be a lot faster. =D

I use Windows XP. Mainly because it's easy to get hold of. I probably wouldn't mind trying some other OS as long as it's not a Mac. Is used those in a college art course and was nearly ready to chew my arm off.

yup, i prefer a T42 with Ubuntu over anything with Windows. (A new leak every day, which will be fixed in 4 or more weeks? Nah, Thanks!)
oh and about the slow and crashy comp, thats Windows. and BTW: Mac users can use a mouse with more than one button since a long time.

I use XP for the software and because I grewup on Windows. I also have a Mac with X Tiger V.10.4.3 because I like some of there exclusive programs. I can live with no right click but I hate not being able to scroll.
