Any chances of running games?

#1 Post by bluespart »

Hi. Simply asking myself if my laptop could handle any kind of games. I own a Toshiba Satellite P200 -RT5. If you need more statistics, just tell me where to find them and I'll get them. I know it's getting kind of old and isn't built for gaming, but I'm curious as to what it could (possibly) run.

I can't find the graphics card, but the rest seems decent.
You can definitely play Runescape on mid settings, possibly better if you've got a non-intel GPU.

Go to your start button on the bottom left of your screen. click it
Now go to the computer button above control panel. Right Click it.
Now click on properties. And see teh windows experience index. click on that.
Now there should be a link that says "view and print detailed performance and system information" click that too.
Ok now read everything it says there and put it here. then we will get the perfect idea of what your computer can do.

I hope that helped out. I wanna see details.

Ok from what i can see and make out of this. It isn't bad. you should be able to run a reasonable amount of games on the low setting if possibly a tweaked medium setting (new games)

Oldergames (i mean pretty darn old) you should be able to run them on high settings and such. Not a bad computer. But i wouldn't buy it.

Not so much that that I want to buy it since it's discontinued, but more that I've been owning it for about three years and I am asking myself if I could try running something newer than Starcraft (the first one, obviously). And even that is struggling when things get really really busy.

well i know that my computer has a graphics card is half of yours and it runs starcraft really nicely on the UBER low wetting. i tweaked it an put the weapon effects and the kill effects on and it still runs nicely.

Have you tried advanced system care? or maybe smart defrag?
i suggest them to everybody because it cleans the computer so nicely and boosts my performance and i love it so much. It makes my compute run alot smoother when i game than it usually does.

For games I KNOW Portal doesn't take a lot to run (on high) and if you learn how to download maps (not hard) you should be good for awhile.
