Judah was frozen in place, his face clearly shocked at whatever happened, he can barely process anything that he doesn't even know what was going on.

But quickly a part of his mind snapped back, being a helpful assistant almost half his life, he instinctively ran to the waitress to try to help her only to discover she was no longer breathing, her last moments spent staring at the horrified bartender.

He was petrified at this realization, his face became paler than a snow and he was once again stuck silent, oblivious of the raiders pouring in and charging at him.
But just a second after, a loud noise broke his silence

Elizabeth reacted as fast as the woman across from her, pushing her chair back and over as she stood to get it out of the way. She grabbed her bow in the same motion, knocking an arrow and drawing it back as the other woman cast a simple fire spell, aimed in the direction the bolt came from.

When the rest of the wolves entered, Eliza took a single heartbeat to adjust her aim before loosing the arrow towards the one who had given the order. Wasting no time to see if it hit its mark or not, she knocked another arrow and shifted targets, drawing and loosing on another wolf, one bearing down on the innkeeper with an axe in hand.

As the second arrow flew towards its target, Elizabeth took a moment to kick over their table, to create cover from the crossbowman she had yet to spot.

The first pair of wolves leap out of the way of the way, intent on not being set ablaze. However, a third, much larger wolf stands his ground. The beat bats the flaming chair effortlessly out of the air, sending it flying across the room and bursting to splinters as it crashes into nearby table.

As he steps forward you get a better look at the larger wolf. He’s a dark grey colour, and almost a foot taller than the rest. He has a strong broad build, and is covered in heavy wolfish armour; not that it seems to slow him down.

Across his right eye is a streak of bright red paint, seemingly to mimic a jagged scar. Whether it’s a personal detail or a sign of status is anyone’s guess. Either way, he seems to be in charge here.

The brute grabs the closest underling to his right and hurls him towards the table, instructing the others to follow. “Bring me the witch!” he roars to his underlings as he draws a large [censored] sword. “I’m sure she’ll fetch a grand prize.” he mutters to himself, a cruel smile across his lips.

On command, 8 raiders charge the table at once. 4 are armed with sword and shield, two with axes and the final two carry short spears.

Behind them, however, other raiders are still attacking the civilians, dragging those they take alive kicking and screaming out into the night.

Lief wrote:When the rest of the wolves entered, Eliza took a single heartbeat to adjust her aim before loosing the arrow towards the one who had given the order.
The arrow flies true and finds its mark on the leading wolf, striking just shy of his heart. Unfortunately, the arrow head fails to pierce fully through the beast’s armour. The wolf grunts and staggers with the blow, only to break the arrow off with his spare hand and continue to move forward behind his men.
Lief wrote:Wasting no time to see if it hit its mark or not, she knocked another arrow and shifted targets, drawing and loosing on another wolf, one bearing down on the innkeeper with an axe in hand.
The second arrow finds it’s mark firmly lodged in the raiders back, giving the innkeeper enough time to find a discarded knife and drive it through his attacker’s throat.

He waves to the archer, trying to show some gratitude for her saving his hide, but with more wolves coming he decides it’s best to flee rather than stay to be over run.

John, now towering Judah, grabs the leopard by the shoulder and jerks him back towards the recently upturned table. “What are you doing you idiot!? Get behind something before they fire anymore- Arrgh!

John staggers backward, clutching a bolt firmly lodged in shoulder. “Mother fu-!” John curses before finding his feet again, his teeth clenched down hard to help bare the pain. “I. Said. Move!” he shouts, grabbing the leopard by the collar and hurling him behind the cover of the table before joining him there himself.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Judah felt a strong grip on his shoulder and quickly turned around as he was being jerked back.

It was the basitin, who seemed to be shouting incomprehensible words at him.
Bit quickly, Judah snapped back the moment another arrow had a strucked the basitin
The Rookie wrote:What are you doing you idiot!? Get behind something before they fire anymore- Arrgh!
"I-i" he tried to help but was quickly pushed back by the basitin to safety

Judah looked at his surroundings, witnessing all the chaos that he had been oblivious to.

Just then, in the corner of his sight, he spotted one of the wolf attackers locking his target on him, the wolf started charging at him, shouting madly while frantically swinging his sword left and right

Great... haven't even had time to get a room yet, and the place is going to burn down.
Such are the thoughts that flash through one's head at times.

Okay, there are certainly few options now than when there were six of them. Phaing hisses over her shoulder; "the stables" to the others.

"Witch?"
Oh, good, maybe this will surprise them. The Cloak certainly helps, there is so much cover in this room that there is almost too much of it ... and an archer is on our side that needs help.
Phaing waits until it is almost too late, one of the Wolves with an Ax is reaching for her when she explodes out of her crouch. Unsheathing her scimitar in the same motion, she aims to chop off that hand at the wrist with an upwards slash. The down-stroke is changed to a slash directed at knees of the Wolf standing next to the ax-man.

After that, its pure evasion, ducking and turning somersaults under tables, dashing between chairs and taking a swipe at any Wolfen that gets close enough. She takes a random path at first, unpredictable until she gets closer to a side-door or a window. If she can get to the stable she can get to her horse. Once mounted, she can attack twice as hard, and prove a thing or two to these warriors.

Elizabeth loosed a total of three more arrows at their attackers as they charged, then ducked behind the table on the assumption that the crossbowman had reloaded. She was mostly correct, seeing as the Basitin had been hit in the shoulder by a crossbow bolt. She went over and briefly inspected the injury, finding it to be only a minor wound, she patted John on his good shoulder and stepped out again. This time on the other side of the table, near the foreign woman.
Phaing wrote:Okay, there are certainly few options now than when there were six of them. Phaing hisses over her shoulder; "the stables" to the others.
"If they're still there." Eliza replied coolly before the woman darted off.

She drew her bow back, arrow already nocked, and waited until one of the charging wolves was just out of reach with his sword, then loosed. Some of the others seemed to be distracted by the foreigner's dash through the inn. Pivoting on her heel, Elizabeth nocked another arrow, drew, and loosed, this one aimed at the wolf charging the Snow Leopard. Then she took off after the foreigner, following her path.

Her fingers danced along the fletching of her arrows as she ran, until she found the one she was looking for. She quickly retrieved and nocked it, skidding to a halt at the same time. Bringing her bow up and drawing it back, she took several heartbeats to find her target and steady her aim before loosing the arrow. A bodkin arrow flew from her bow, flying once again for the wolf leader. She continued after the foreign woman before seeing if it connected with its intended target.

Don't let anyone tell you that a Bodkin would go right through someone at this range. They would go in, but soldiers wear armor that covers their backs, as well. As long as your aim is good, you shouldn't have to worry about hitting the wrong people.

The wolves rush in together, but one moves a tad faster than the others. He surprises the group but breaking into a sprint and outpacing his comrades significantly. He leaps over the upturned table and towards Judah.
Phaing wrote:Great... haven't even had time to get a room yet, and the place is going to burn down.
The surrounding tables and chairs close to the initial explosion of embers from where the chair struck the wall are starting to catch alight as well. However, it seems to be a very slow process as most wooden surfaces in the tavern are coated in flame retardant varnishes. It’s certainly be a while before the flames become a concern to anyone.

Phaing wrote:Oh, good, maybe this will surprise them. The Cloak certainly helps, there is so much cover in this room that there is almost too much of it ... and an archer is on our side that needs help.

The wolf is disarmed (hehe) easily, he’d never expected such an attack and hadn’t seen the weapon until it had cleaved fully through his wrist.

As the first wolf howls in agony, the wolf closest to his left halts his attack and watches in utter shock. His gaze shifts from his friend to the swordswoman just as she brings the blade down on his knee.

The blade doesn’t cut through, but it certainly digs deep. The wolf collapses to the ground, no longer a combatant.
The wolf who’d lost a hand however, is preparing to fight again. He pulls out a dagger from his belt in his non dominant hand and rushes Phaing. The pain from his wound triggering his feral keidran form, making him a far more deadly adversary than before. The only thing that’ll stop him now is a lethal blow.

She makes it to a side door in no time, from there she can get outside and to the stables, but the feral wolf is hot on her heels. Swiping, biting and swinging with his bloodied stump. He’s not going to let her get away until he or she is dead.
Lief wrote:Elizabeth loosed a total of three more arrows at their attackers as they charged, then ducked behind the table on the assumption that the crossbowman had reloaded.
Two strike into the second swordswolf’s shield, while the third leaves a long deep gash along first spear man’s muzzle, having been a near miss.

(Current situation. Axe men one disfigured and chasing Phaing. Axe men two disabled, Swordsman one is leaping over the table towards Judah, Swordsman two along with spear men one and two are approaching alongside the leader. The current number of crossbow men are unknown and there are dogs pulling civilians out of the building while all this continues to unfold. They don't seem to take orders from the wolf captain.)

John looks up, giving a flash of a smile as he clutches his wound. “It doesn’t hurt so bad when you don’t think about it.” While the wound isn't life threatening, it's certainly causing a bit of bleeding. If any one stops to check on him long enough, they can also see that John's starting to slip into an altered state of consciousness. Potentially from blood loss.
Lief wrote:She drew her bow back, arrow already nocked, and waited until one of the charging wolves was just out of reach with his sword, then loosed.
This time the wolf was too slow with his shield to block the arrow. He falls forward, the arrow pieced right though his lung, the momentum of his body causing him to skid across the floor towards the archer.

The arrow catches the wolf in the forearm, wounding him, but not stopping him. His sword arm, while weakened, is still free to swing at Judah; and swing he does.

(Nice touch)
The wolf leader snickers as he sees the archer lining up her sights on him, thinking that the next arrow would bounce off harmlessly like the last. It doesn’t.

The bodkin arrow pierces through the wolf’s armour as intended and penetrates a further 2 inches into his abdomen. It’s likely nicked a few vital organs along the way, but nothing to drop him instantly.

The wolf roars in pain, turning to the closest spear wielding wolf, tearing the weapon from his arms and hurling it at the archer. Although he misses by a matter of feet, the weapon tears through the hard wood wall like it was nothing.

The lead wolf grips the arrow in his two hands and snaps it in two, ensuring to leave the arrow head in until it can be dealt with later. “<Damned humans!>” he screams in rage as he pulls a horn from his belt; blowing into it and sending out the alarm.

Only now have the dog raiders stopped pillaging the civilian targets, and the two remaining spear wolves seem more on edge. There’s only a few seconds before more horn bellow in the distance, answering the call.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

This place is just full of surprises.
Instead of running into someone trying to stop her, she is actually being chased towards the stable.
"suits me"

She keeps going at a dead run, Phaing isn't the one that will be bleeding out soon. Ah... but not soon enough, its just not very far to this Inn's own stables. Fortunately, she took the time to see to her horse when she first arrived, and knows exactly where it is.

The plan is to dash into the stables, where it is probably darker, and with a leap and a strong heave flip herself up onto one of the overhead platforms where hay and other things are stored. A shelf will do in a pinch. Then, take a swipe at the head of the Wolf when he bursts in.
While the sight of a Feral Keidran can certainly be terrifying, Phaing does not know enough about Keidran to understand that yet. Moreover, he has a dagger... "... stupid mutt brought a knife to a sword fight!"

After that is done, the horn will probably be blowing, and Phaing will have to glance outside to see how much time is left. Can she saddle her horse, or will she have to go bareback?
Or is it too late to do anything but set her valuable* horse free?

In a matter of seconds, the attacker would have swung his sword right at his neck and end him right there.
But something suddenly clicked inside Judah. All the years percy has taught him in sword fighting has suddenly surfaced.

That man maybe old, but he knew how to fight.

In the brief spare seconds he has left, Judah placed his right foot back to keep a firm stance, he locked his eyes on the predictable swing of the attacker's sword, the wolf was visibly brash and blinded by rage, not even using his shield properly as his torso was completely exposed.

He grabbed the cross guard of the sword, pulling it away from his direction while at the same time placing his left foot on the Wolf's chest, and with one swift move he snatched the sword out of his hand, while using the same momentum, kicked the wolf back, sending him hurdling into a stack of barrels.

Judah quickly flipped the sword around to grab it properly, with both hands close to his hips in a defending position, scanning for anymore threats.

Judah was about to dash back into the cover when suddenly, he felt a powerful wooden blow and was pushed back quite a distance.

(Edit: Judah was supposedly attacked by the other sword guy, but I just read that the second swordsman was approaching with the other guys, so not sure if what I wrote was plausible, I wouldn't mind editing it out if it's affecting other peopl's plans)

(I still have a few more things to write to get Percy back in the loop, but I feel this wall of text is already long enough... so I'll let all of you post first :P )

((And here it be. As [censored] as it might be.))

Elizabeth dodges around a table as the spear whizzes past her, embedding itself pretty deep into the wall. Might even be sticking out the other side, for all she knew.

Upon seeing the foreigner dash through a side door, with crazed and bloodied wolf hot on her tail, Eliza altered her course slightly, heading for a window that should be closer to the stables than the door- And with some luck allow her to ambush the foreigner's pursuit.

She spotted the foreigner dashing past the window just as she reached it, and used the table set up in front of it as a launch platform of sorts- Jumping onto it then diving through the window. If her timing was right, she should land on or bowl over the wolf.

Phaing’s lack of understanding of keidran almost proves fatal when the beast takes an upward swipe in her direction. Given his feral state, the wolf’s additionally enhanced senses were able to track where Phaing had hidden almost before he entered the room. It hard to trick a feral, and harder still to hide from one.

However, driven by his desire to hunt down the woman who maimed him, the wolf was left tunnel visioned on the one target, completely neglecting his other surroundings; including a certain ranger who comes crashing thought the window.

The wolf is taken entirely by surprise and comes crashing down to the ground with Elizabeth top of him, causing his dagger to miss its mark and tumble out of his hand.

Further agitated, the wolf is attempting to reach behind himself to claw at Elizabeth, but otherwise isn’t in a position to fight back. This is only while she’s on top of him, so as soon as she shifts her weight he’ll be up and at them again. That is unless they deal with him some other way...

From what you can see out the window you can tell this is no small attack. The party that attacked the tavern was merely a tiny fraction of the force that was massing outside.

The attack on the tavern was only part of a much larger raid which now enveloped the town in its entirety. Wolves and dogs were breaking into houses, shops, store rooms; taking anything of value and burning whatever wasn’t.

It appeared that raiders hadn’t encountered any worth while resistance with the exception of the tavern, leaving their numbers at almost full strength. Judging by the number of horns blowing there could be as many as 8 or more raiding parties responding to the call for help alone.

Little by little you can see at least 2 or 3 more full strength ‘squads’ forming in the street outside the tavern, but instead of rushing in they seem like waiting for something, or someone.

The wolf rises as quickly as he fell, promptly grabbing a the other swordwolf’s discarded blade. He underestimated his opponent, and refuses to make that mistake again.

Judah was about to dash back into the cover when suddenly, he felt a powerful wooden blow and was pushed back quite a distance.
The blow came from the second spear wolf, who’d been forced to make do with a burning table leg after his commander disarmed him earlier. He’d flanked around to Judah’s right during his entanglement with the sword wolf and was attempting to catch the leopard off guard.

The table leg catches Judah is the side, but luckily the wood hard largely burnt away to carbon at the point of impact, causing it to shatter on contact and cushion the blow somewhat.

With Judah injured slightly, the other wolves decide to rush in and take him while he’s dazed.

Three on one hardly seems fair.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Phaing won't hesitate, as usual. She jumps out of her perch and on the way down, she bring one booted foot down on top of the Wolfen head. An overhead chop with the scimitar would have been tempting, and very final... but that would have meant taking the risk of hitting Eliza too. That simply isn't acceptable.
This might be a bit icky for some people...
Spoiler!
So, instead, Phaing slips the tip of the scimitar under the Kiedran's chin and pushes it in, to sever the blood vessels in the throat. Despite this being a slashing weapon, she keeps the tip sharp, so its doable if difficult. In fact, its pretty ghastly, she has to saw away at it as she pushes the blade downward, and can't be sure she has done the job until the blade hits the dirt. Even worse is the struggles of her victim, she can feel the vibrations through the sole of her boot, and as for Eilza...
So, to distract herself from that, she talks to Eliza. It may seem glib, but it helps.
"Thanks for coming out here, do I now qualify for my damsel in distress card?" She jerks her head at the window. "How bad is it?"
