"Fine" She said with a huff. She didn't want to but it was the only way to go. She approached the rope and grabbed it. That is when she heard the clatter of Silvi's spear and turned around to see if they were up yet. Seeing Silvi climb up made the situation a little better, but she still went to cross the rope first.

He deos not think you have the strength for an over-hand pull, what with you being female and all.

When Raimius shows up, she will already have started across (in whatever way she decides to go).

And he's gone, time to see what Rita has gotten them into this time.
Sylvi may not be alone , more iron bars sound as if they have given way down there.

When he gets to the cell. "Hi Sven, where did that damn horse get off to.... holy!-" He sees what is happening. "Rita, you are NOT getting on that rope!"
"But-"
NOT until Annaria is safe on the other side." He marches up to the window. "And may the Gods have mercy on anyone that threatens that safety!"

Only Annaria can hear one of the convicts mutter; "Look at that sword, maybe this wasn't such a great idea..."

(Kind of, but far more chaotic. There's little elegance and grace to the whole affair, almost like there was a very aggressive ice storm, more than the nitpicky creative design.)

Indeed, and that's something that needs to be addressed immediately.

Sylvi waits until after Raimius is out of range before she begins disenchanting the main supporting pillars she'd conjured up a few moments prior. There's no sense leaving the walk way for their avian friends to follow.

Just as an added precaution, Sylvi reinforces the top of the stairs with a phalanx of 3 meter long icicles, should any of the beast manage to make it to the top, as well as clearing any gaps that had given her and the others such difficulty before.

Sylvi cursed herself for wasting more precious mana on such defences, but reasoned to herself that it was necessary to secure their retreat; even if it was starting to make her feel a little weak.

Once that was complete, she makes her way towards the rest of the group gathering around the window.

Sylvi wasn't so kind to her faithful companion. "Sven, where have you been?! You were supposed to stay close to us and keep Rita safe. Not sneak off and wonder around the complex!" Turning to Rita "As for you missy, we'll talk later."

She seems as if she's about to scold Raimius for Rita "Taking after his side of the family", but that's when she sees the rope connecting to the building across, and the vixen dangling between.

She really can't turn her back on this lot for a moment without something else going wrong.

She may, but she takes the advice anyways. Once getting onto the rope she stumbles a bit to get balanced, but once she does she starts to slowly make her way across, not looking down as it would be better not to know if the birds are keeping a close eye on her.

She paused for a small moment after hearing that, but continued to press forward. She has the advantage now. They don't know where her weapons are or hat even they are. Going back would also be a bad idea as the bars keeping the birds out have already been bent. When she gets to the other side. She will make no attempts to reach for her daggers yet, and will try to act like she didn't hear them.

Rita takes the opportunity to put her foot down, and since she knows she will have to go across eventually; "Well, I suppose that means I will be going next!"

She reaches for the rope, and finds herself dangling by the scruff of her coat, held by Raimius one-handed as he looks to Sylvi. "What I just saw back there, that was damned impressive. I have to be close to be that dangerous, mind bringing up the rear again?"

And it is the one of their voice that tells you that they might be just as afraid of you as you are of them.
WHen Annaria gets inside, helped along by them as time seems short here, she can notice something else about these men; they have no weapons. Nothing but a few iron bars and some wooden cudgels that used to parts of some sort of furniture. Not even a knife or a sling, as far as you can see...
And these guys have been holding off those Birds for days, at least.

Sylvi nods, giving an unspoken command to Sven to stand between the doorway and the window, pointing his antlers toward to sound of squawks and bending iron bars. "Yell out when it's safe to send Rita across, but don't be too long." she calls over her shoulder, as she too turns her attention on the door way.

"Rita, would you mind taking this?" she ask, offering her the lamp.

When she gets to the other side she sits down, making sure she can see the others though the window, to take a little breather after climbing the broken stairs and then crawling across the rope.Seeing them seemingly unarmed and scared was good for now but she was scared too after hearing what they said.
"So..." She says, trying to act cool, still trying to hide the fact she heard what they said. "How long have you been held up here with those... things out there?"
She looked out across to the other building to see that it looks like Raimius would be crossing next and she let out a slightly audible sigh.

You can hear them, down below, with their claws tap-scratching the floorboards and their low gurgles, but you can't see the Birds down there yet.

"Four days, I think. How... why did you come here? Did a rider make it through?"

Raimius goes hand-over-hand dragging his feet behind him, head forward and keeping an eye on all the convicts as he comes. Just a few feet shy of the window he reverses his hands and swings, entering the window feet-first and landing with one hand on his sword handle and the other on a knife, ready to draw. Stepping right up to Annaria's side he then takes a look around. ".... the hell?"
This isn't what Raimius was expecting, either.

"Okay, Rita, come on over." He shouts through the bars before asking these men anything.

And before he can ask them anything, Rita calls back; "Just a minute!"

"What?!"

"Hold on, I'm helping mom!"

"Mom?!" Sylvi blurts out under her breath, unsure to if she should be touched by the gesture, concerned by it's implications, or just generally irritated that her father's pig headed influence seems to taking more and more hold each day.

"Oooooh no, over you go now." Giving Rita a soft guiding push back behind her and Sven. "You can help by getting the lamp to Ana in one piece, and by not getting eaten, alright?"

She was relieved that someone else was over now. "They don't seem too dangerous, at least since they haven't attacked me." She said to Raimius, attempting to not scare them into attacking.

"<[censored]..>" The she-wolf expletives, looking for a lose stone or chunk of tile to throw down range at the curious raptor to dissuade him from growing bolder.

Taking Sven by his thick jaw, Sylvi reassures the majestic elk that everything was going to be ok; giving him a soft stroke before disenchanting her familiar and returning his essence to the bead upon her wrist.

Should the bird continue to make ground, Sylv will back further and further towards the windowsill; waiting for Rita to make her way across before starting the climb herself. There's no certainty it'd carry both their weight.

At this point she'll begin channelling some mana from her spear, just in case she'd need another barrier or deterrent to keep her stalkers at bay.

There is an small wooden stool near Sylvi's feet, one of it's legs is missing.

Before he evaporates, Sven sounds a panicked-sounding squeal, and it has exactly the effect he was hoping for.

Yes, one made it up here, and Sven's call is all it takes to make the poor animal bolt from it's hiding place and go charging around the galleries. If Sven had still been there he would have suffered a collision, and as i is Sylvi had better be well back into that cell when the crazed beast goes by. There is only one way out, and down it goes.

The birds heard that too, and they start coming up the stairs more boldly now, you can see them clearly... and that is only the start of their troubles. Sylvi's attacks will be distracting and maybe even harmful to them, but that only helps the charging horse. These birds enjoy feasting on such animals, but not when this half-ton battering ram made of horseflesh is coming down on them! One Bird manages an incredible sideways leap, hooking one leg over the railing on the far side of the gallery from Sylvi.

Yeah, its personal now.

She lands on her feet, but that ledge is still a little slippery. Rita panics when a Bird below squawks and stands there waving her arms around to get her balance back.

“Oh... Fuuuuck...” Sylv mutters in disbelieving horror, as she stares back to meet this thing’s gaz;, its plumage and distinguishing features burning into her mind, having the distinct feeling that she’ll come across this thing again before long.

With this last detail, Sylvi abandons her plan to wait for Rita to cross and decides it’s now or never. ((Rita would likely have made it by now, but Sylvi wouldn't know for sure without looking away)) Backing up with her eyes still fixated on the raptor’s, Sylvi holds out her spear towards the beast while using her tail in a sweeping motion to feel for the window. Her movements are slow and mechanical, not unlike what she and Raimius had done during their first encounter.

Once she feels the cold brush of stone against her rear, she immediately spins around and is out the window in a flash. Leaping several feet and attempting to grab the line in flight than risk being dragged back through the window while attempting to slowly meander across at her usual pace.

And grab her she does. Rita may not cry out, but when the person grabs her tail she lets out a quick "yip" and freezes. If she wasn't being pulled herself she may have just stood there holding Rita. The pulling didn't help either.

Once she is let go of, she starts rubbing her tail and moves away, speaking quickly with a quivering voice. "Nononono, don't grab tails, especially don't pull it." She turns around to look at whoever did it. "It's not a handle and feels very unpleasant when grabbed."
