Seth took the man’s hand in his own and gave it firm shake before releasing it. “I go by Seth, Seth Blackburn, nice to meet you.“ He gave him a curious look as he took a sip of his drink. “I must say,” he said, setting his coffee on the table. “I don’t believe I've ever met someone like you before. Not to sound rude, but what might you be?”

The man tilted his head slightly confused, "what do you mean what am I? What do I look like? I'm a wolf!"

“I apologize if I offended you,” Seth replied, raising his hands slightly. “I can see that you’re a wolf, what I meant was ‘what is your race actually called?’ I've seen many wolves, but they all walk on four legs, you’re the first bipedal wolf I've met.”

"No offense taken, I am a Castam. From there come many others like me, and not just wolves either."

“Ah, I see, perhaps I shall visit your homeland one of these days during my travels, it sounds quite interesting.” Seth picked up his mug again and finished off his drink, then stood up. “Excuse me for a moment; I’m going to go get another.” He walked over to the counter, turned in his empty mug and waited a little bit for the man behind the counter to return with his drink. He then returned to his seat across from Dom.

As he sipped from his newly refilled mug of coffee, he heard a voice behind him. “Excuse me gentlemen, room for one more?”

Seth turned and faced the figure behind him and saw the halberd. “Of course you can,” he replied, gesturing to an empty chair at the table. Well now, another interesting looking person and they wield the halberd I’m looking for.

[during Kisuke's post]
"I could take you if you there, I usually lead travelers between the cities." He says as Seth gets up to get another coffee.
Dominic leans back in his chair, looking around the inn. What to do, what to do... He sits, zoning out a little as he takes a quick inventory in his head. 3-4 days of rations, fair bit of assorted coins... 63 arrows... Dom is jerked out of his thoughts as Seth returns, ears perking and facing him.
[/during Kisuke's post]

Dominic's ears perk up as someone come up to their table, he nods at him as Seth invites him to sit down.
Dominic leans forward over the table, not-so-subtly smelling at the newcomer, before turning back to Seth.
"Where do you come from?"
Taking a sip from his coffee before answering, "My homeland is far off to the west, someplace people of this land haven't heard of as far as I'm aware."
Dom leans back into his chair again, tail swiping across the floor slowly. Would be interesting to visit a new land, is it much like the lands here? He continues the conversation, seeming to half ignore the newcomer.

Spirit Side
"Hmm" Ashley murmured out loud, stopping to scratch at the ground with her foot as she muttered something indiscriminate to herself. She was still for almost half a minute before she nodded to herself, muttering queitly about 'projected continental drift affecting supply lines', and turned to face Allison.

"Nope! Don't worry, Lily will be fine~"

Smiling and nodding to herself once more Ashley spun on her heels and continued to follow the spirit as closely as possible. The spirit itself didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. However, the city could not be seen behind the group anymore and the only noises were the occasional cracking of trees being felled and the living noise of the jungle.

Halberd Side
"Heh, you got spunk in you kid. That'll be useful." The voice could be heard sighing contently for a moment. "As for the second part of your question, I can't tell you. Trade secret and all. Let's just say that this sentience was from more than one source though and leave it at that."

As Ir finished imagining the voice's self image, another quiet laugh could be heard though this one slightly more honest than the few before. "Well, that's a nice try I guess. You got the age about right though. Rooms nice enough, I think I'll take it."

The quiet crackling of fire suddenly filled Ir's mind along with the slightest scent of coal. "Well, this is much more comfortable. Seems you can contribute one or two things to this. In any case, answering your question, I'll call you partner and you can call me whatever you like. I ain't particularly picky."

"In any event" The voice continued, amusement evident in it's voice still. "You don't have to hold onto me, though doing that would amuse me as well. You just gotta keep me within a half meter of you at all times. Otherwise, you're gonna lose whatever knowledge I've already given to you and I won't be able to warn you. In any case, the wielder of this ain't gonna be like me. It's some pretty high leveled magic from a pretty rare tool though. Odd that somebody would have or use it willingly unless they didn't know about it."

With that, the halberd fell silent once more until Ir moved next to the table. Then a quiet chuckle that soon descended into a hearty laugh could be heard in Ir's mind. After a few moments, the laughing subsided and the voice could be heard clearing it's throat.

"Well, it seems the human has gotten himself trapped in a spell. Probably a morphing one, judging by how normal he looks and acts right now. Try to bring it up, would you?"

Allison

Ashley's answer was somewhat evasive, but not particularly bothersome, so Allison decided to move on to Isaak's query.

"Something like that, Isaak." She brushed a few loose strands of crimson hair out of closed eyes, turning her face towards the sun. "I've got Phoenix blood from my father. I'm surprised you picked it up so quickly. Was it my hair, or do you happen to have some sort of detection yourself?"

Adjusting her pack, Allison chuckled as Valentine's pleading mixed with Naoko's irritated shouts in the background. She had met few summoners from what she remembered of her travels, and all of them had been vastly different in their philosophies and approaches. V, as his likely familiar called him, seemed to have a rather troubling set of morals if his ideas were honest. Her ears perked at the mention of Cyll. Was that the other woman that had been with the duo in the chapel?

Valentine and Co.

"But I don't even know the stranger!" Having freed himself from Naoko's vengeance for the fictional deceased and mutilated stranger, Valentine continued to defend his decision. "Why should I care? Am I supposed to hope that everyone I meet is going to be valuable to me to the point where I'd kill myself first? And so painfully!"

"You don't kill people or not because they're going to help you, V!"

Confused hazel eyes met determined red. Valentine arched an elegantly thin-elegantly thin, and not feminine, he'd hasten to add-eyebrow.

"I'm not going to kill people because of that. I'm not a monster."

Naoko nodded in approval. "Good. Then-"

"I'd kill him because he'd be more useful dead. I want to live, so he needs to die."

There was silence on their end until the dull smack of a small hand smacking a much larger face echoed throughout the jungle.

"Ow! Did I miss something? Was he someone important?"

Several more smacks were sent flying into the same face.

"i will make a game of this then Angra, i will continue to think about what you may look like and in time i may eventually learn what you look like. in the mean time let me decorate my mind scape a little more for you." he formed a window across form the large armchair in his mind, outside of that window was a lush mountain landscape. it had Fir trees, and shrubs a small river and a large mountain in the background with clouds lazily drifting past. for now it was just a simple thing for Angra to be able to look out at and enjoy when Ir's mind was less then amusing.

"i believe my question was lost, in your answer. i did not ask what you wanted to call me, but Why you choose to call me Partner." IR tightened his grip on the halberd and nodded," if you prefer to be held, then you will never stray from my hands. even in the dead of night i will cling to you like a newborn babe to its mother. only when i absolutely require the use of both my hands will i let stay you in the holder i will be making."

His attention returning to the people around him Ir looked at the wolf and then the person across from him before sitting down. he shouldered his pack off with his free hand and placed it on the table. he tugged it open and pulled out the leather he got from the merchant and thought about how he would cut it up to make the holster. while he was thinking he dug in his bag and pulled out a spool of thread, Ir unwound a length of the thread and cut it with a bit of magic. "so gentlemen what brings you to the city of rune?" he lay the thread flat and returned his attention to the leather. focusing a wind based magic into his finger tip Ir dragged his nail across the leather cutting it with ease and deadly precision. "i dont mean to pry, but i dream of opening a school and teaching people my form of magic. i find it easier to ask personal questions about others by revealing my answer to the question to them in asking it."

Ir lay several strips of leather on top of each other then taped his finger on the ends a few times. a small rush of air shot out each time he touched it, it sounded as if someone was shooting a dart out of a tube.

he creased his brown and narrowed his eyes before sitting upright"is it just me or did you put an unneeded amount of stress on the word human? i understand that i am looking at a human and also a wolf so why the need to point it out. are you implying that he isnt a human?"

"Well, the answer is simple!" The voice replied, voice dripping with sarcasm. "There is currently one human, one animal, and you at this table. If I don't point out the correct person, you might mistake my directions as being directed towards youself, partner. So yes, I must make the distinction."

"so what your saying is; I am a Sao-Ota, the wolf is a wolf and the 'human' is a not human"Ir turned his attention to Seth the idea of working on the Halberds holster completely put aside. placing his elbow on the table and resting his chin on his hand"so not Human, what where you?"

Seth cocked his head at the question. "So I take it you're implying I'm not human? Tell me, what makes you think that?"

"the voices in my head told me so." he swung his leg around and rested a bare footed ankle on the other knee. "the voices in my head are wise beyond my senses. so not human, whos name i so rudely have not yet asked, i will ask again. what were you?"

Isaak had to stop himself from slapping his forehead. A phoenix-borne, of course! I thought there was something familiar about that hair…

In truth, Isaak had never actually met a Phoenix descendant up close and in person. He had only ever seen them from a distance, both in the crowds of Rune and occasionally as receivers of a shipment from a client that he would escort. However, he never actually put such a name to those people, on account of the fact that he never actually knew what was so different about them. Aside from the colorful hair, that is...

Isaak smiled at her question. "Well, believe it or not, it was more you in general than your hair that gave it away. I've never had an affinity for magic, but...how can I explain this…" He furrowed his brow in thought for a moment. "Basically, I've learned from a very wise man that you can tell things from a person through more than just what they say or look like. It's also about movements, habits, behaviors. Sometimes we give away more about ourselves just by the way we walk or stand around than anything that we might tell people."

He smiled as a flashback came to his mind:

*******************

His master sitting before him, one of the first days of Isaak's training. The old man had commanded him to just stand there, and sat there for thirty minutes, doing nothing but staring at him. It had made Isaak incredibly nervous, and he shifted nervously the entire time. Not a moment after the thirty minutes, the old swordsman finally broke the silence by asking: "What does a warrior see in his enemy?"

Isaak blinked and just looked at him. "What?"

"I did not stutter."

Furrowing his brow in thought, Isaak answered hesitantly, "Um, their weapon? Their stance?"

"And?"

"…His armor?"

The old man shook his head, huffing a bit. "You look only at the surface. Weapon, stance, armor - Bah!" He threw his hand up, like shooing away an annoying insect. "These are obvious, only an idiot would not notice such things! What a warrior sees," He said, eyeing Isaak, "Is everything else in a man. His thoughts, his feelings his fears. Even his future! All are right before the warriors eyes, everything that he needs to fight and conquer."

Isaak could only gape at him in disbelief. "Just by staring at them? I…I don't understand…."

Suddenly the old man rose from his seat. "But I understand you, now, student." He walked up to him. "And soon, you will learn to do the same. With me, your friends, and most importantly…" He shoved a wooden sword in Isaak's hands.

"…Your enemies." He walked a short distance back, then turned to face him. "Now fight me, and watch. Watch like a warrior."

*******************

Isaak shook his head as he was brought back to the present. From that day on, his entire perception of the world had changed. He hadn't figured that learning to wield a blade would be so life-changing…then again, he never felt like his teacher had given him just that.

Turning his attention back to Allison, he said, "In other words, I just pay very good attention. But now I'm curious…" He said, brushing aside a stray plant. "If you don't have any personal involvement, then what's your stake in this journey?"

Seth sighed deeply and took a sip of his drink. Wonderful. First the wolf, now someone with voices in their head. I seem to attract the weirdest people. "I will only tell you that what I am doesn't matter, what matters is that I'm currently cursed and I came here searching for something that might hold the key to helping me." He set his mug on the table and looked at his latest guest, then extended a hand towards him, "I go by the name Seth Blackburn by the way, nice to meet you."

"Hello Seth, I can tell you that even though you say it doesn’t matter, to me it does. It matters more to me then my next breath, I am a bit of the information seeker, all my kind are, and I would prefer to know what you were, because I can already tell you look human now." He took and shook the hand offered to him but he didn’t release it.

"Your kind? And what would that be exactly? This 'Sao-Ota' you mentioned earlier whilst talking to yourself perhaps?" Seth tightened his grip on the man's hand momentarily before releasing it, intending to make him let go.

When Seth tightened up his grip Ir tightened up his. His abnormally long fingers reaching all the way around Seth hand only to rest on top of Ir's thumb knuckle. “Yes my kind, the Sao-Ota. Maybe you have heard of us. We have a very distinct look about us, as you may tell." Ir thought about Angra and how he talks out loud when speaking to the weapon and how odd it must look. “No I was talking back to the voice in my head"

"Well, regardless of how much you tighten your grip, I will not tell you anything more about myself. The only thing I will tell you is that the voices in your head are correct and that I'm not originally human, though what I originally was is of no concern for the time being." Seth reached for his coffee with his free hand and took a sip, "now, I believe that weapon you are holding is the thing I've been looking for, would you mind letting me study it a bit?"

Spirit Side

As the group continued through the jungle, an unspoken amount of time since they entered the jungle from the clearing. The way they walked, how the light was filtered by the trees, and just the plain repetition of tree after tree made keeping track of time and distance difficult if not impossible. In it's beauty was a sort of timelessness that seemed almost pacifying and relaxing. For all that was known, it could have taken hours or just a few minutes to get here.

Regardless of the time spent walking, the spirit slowly came to a halt in front of an ordinary vine covered cliff face, the area before it cleared to a rough semicircle with about a two meter radius. A single rock laid in front of the cliff face. With a sigh, she sat down, facing the way that she had come in from, expecting them to at least show up in that general area. As the group entered the circle, she let them finish their conversations before clearing her throat to gather the attention of the people before her.

"I am afraid this is as far as I go." The girl said, a neutral expression on her face. "Any further will be impossible and painful for me. I can, however, reveal the path."

Raising her right hand up, she pointed at a section of the cliff wall and snapped her fingers. Behind her, a small section of the wall burned away like paper in fire, revealing a small darkened tunnel carved into the side of the cliff. Exquisite geometric patterns were stenciled into the rock entrance, the tunnel beyond it unlit but solid stone tiles visible from the entrance.

Standing up, the spirit curtsied slightly before she began to speak, addressing the group as a whole.

"This is it, my chosen. It is too late to leave now. Prepare yourself and enter when you are ready."

(Whoever goes inside first, please PM me. Gotta give descriptions and stuff.)

Halberd Side

As Ir decided to press forward with his own line of logic, the sound of a small palm striking a face could be heard in his mind. The psychic backlash from the smack was actually strong enough that a few of the people in the tables nearby stopped to look around for the source of the noise.

"What? No! That was nowhere near what I was trying to say! I don't even understand how you got that from what I just said!"

The disbelief in the voice was almost palatable as Ir seemed dead set on making himself look like a moron or one of lesser sanity, at least from an outsider's perspective. A few comments of 'what' was uttered as Ir proceeded to violate a few societal norms while the human, Seth Blackburn, revealed his inhuman nature.

With a muted sigh and the sound of wood creaking back the voice spoke, an odd mix of annoyance and amusement noticeably in it's tone.

"Heh, has the world really changed so much that inhumanity isn't something they break out the pitchforks and fire for?"

A bitter chuckle was the only sound heard along with the cracking of fire and the creaking of wood for a few moments before the voice spoke again, a hint of exhaustion seeping through it's voice.

"In any event, feel free to pass me over. Unless you let him get away, I doubt he can escape with me."

(OOC: Alright, now, if Isst does pass over the halberd, I'm gonna need to PM Isst and Kisuke a bit.)

"A wise man indeed." Allison mused.

Isaak was certainly perceptive, if his claims were correct. What he was doing was easy in theory, but extremely difficult to put into practice. Anyone could glance over another and form idle thoughts about their life. Body language, choice of clothing, verbal tone, she sometimes amused herself by forming improbable stories for strangers on the road she would pass while traveling alone. To do that, but form accurate conclusions was impressive. Still, she was a rather obvious story. Few humans had her shade of hair without dye, and fewer would bother to do so with her longer strands while living the life of a wandering traveler.

She folded her hands behind her head, lips curving up as if recalling some private joke. Why was she here?

"Why not? Entertainment should be discovered, not waited for."

Upon reaching the entrance of the cave, Allison paused.

"Isaak? Would you mind going first next to Ashley? Valentine and I will follow. Two a time would be better than going in a single row or one group." Ashley could clearly handle her oversized cleaver with ease, and Isaak seemed capable enough. She would have preferred to be in the front, but with her magic she would be better suited behind the other two with their chances of encountering something hostile.

"That's fine with me." The visible parts of his face reddened from dozens of kitsune-induced assaults, the mage nodded in agreement. Naoko hopped off his shoulders to stand next to him.

"I'll be with V."

Valentine glanced at the spirit. "Are there any defenses that might react to our magic or presence?"

"When I entered, ages ago, there had been no other defenses that reacted to magic or presences." The girl answered, shaking her head slightly. "However, the new resident may have established a few defenses. Those defenses, I am not privy to."

He ran over his options. His elementals wouldn't help, and Naoko was unlikely to find anything unless it was linked to her own race. Maybe if he tried something with the water in the air? It was humid enough, but the fine control required would probably break the second he was distracted, and even without that he didn't have the sensitivity for it. Sensing for odd magical presences would have to suffice. Allison said she was a Phoenix descendent; her ancestry should help in that area.

Far from what he liked, but it would have to do. His train of thought taking just a second, Valentine gestured for Isaak and Ashley to proceed.

"Lead the way. We can cast some light if it gets too dark."

Ir let go of Seth's hands and returned it to his side. he thought about his options and what would happen if he handed over Angra would he stop hearing him until he got him back. would he and seth be able to communicate by through if they were close to each other through Angra? the idea of losing Angra wasnt something he worried about much, from Seth's appearance he didnt have wings, and even if he was able to run quickly Ir would be able to put a sink hole in the ground under his foot faster, and if that didnt work he would animate the hand to move as an avatar to his hand and he could always just grab him. but then again, you cant always judge a book by its cover this Seth is a man of mystery.

Ir gripped the handle of the halberd. "Angra, do you want to be held by Seth?"

"Look partner," The voice stated, tone flat and neutral. " I got nothing against it. If you want to hand me over, feel free to. If he books it with me in tow and you can't catch him, you were never meant to carry me, alright? Now make your own choice."

Ir shrugged "well unless he sprouts wings suddenly or can teleport, he wont get away with you." Ir holds out his hand " here, i will allow you to hold Angra"

Isaak glanced sideways at Allison, finding her answer to be a little strange. She thinks fighting a mage going after a powerful artifact is entertainment? He shook his head, finding her attitude to be a mismatch to the gravity of the situation. Don't know if I want to know what her entertaining days are like...

As they came to the rocky area where the ghost rested, he tensed a little as he saw the entrance to a cave appear in the cave face. Honestly, however, he was becoming less and less fazed with extraordinary things happening around him, given the present company that he now had in tow. He looked to Allison as she made her suggestion. Magic in the back and swords in the front, eh? Well, can't argue with that... He nodded to her. "Sounds good to me." He looked over to Ashley, then back at the entrance. "Hmm....."

In truth, the ghost's mention of occupants and their "defenses" worried him a bit. At the same time, though, he wasn't sure how capable the rest of the party was at perceiving ambushes. He didn't know exactly what to expect from this cave, but his master had taught him to expect enough to survive. As much importance as he put into surviving this ordeal and returning home, he wasn't going to go so far as make others stick their neck out for him.

That, and he had his secret weapon if it came down to it.

Taking a breath and clearing his mind, he strode forward towards the mouth of the cave. He looked back at the group. "I can take the lead. Ashley, if you could follow? I think I'll be able to watch best for anything with ill intentions for us if I take the head." He turned back, keeping his mind ready and his hand on the hilt of his blade. He didn't know what he was getting into, but he wasn't going to back down now.

Spirit Side
Taking up a position to Issak's right, Ashley let her massive sword come to rest on her shoulder while she glanced into the cave. After a minute she let out a relaxed sigh before giving Issak a hearty slap on the back, a massive grin on her face. Her entire body seemed tense, like a spring about to go off.

"Yep," She said her voice trembling with energy. Whether it was from excitement or nervousness, it was difficult to tell. "This is definitely a foreboding dungeon of doom!"

Nodding to herself, Ashley flipped the grip on her blade and brought it up in front of her while her left hand came up to about halfway on the back of the blade to brace it and support it. With the tip of the blade pointed to the ground and the flat in front of her the blade resembled more of a shield than a weapon; a shield massive enough to completely obscure her. With a shout of 'For Castam!' she charged first, dashing in first.

Entering the cave, it became rather evident that the interior was not natural. From what was visible close to the entrance, the interior was some sort of lobby or hall, at least a dozen meters wide. About four meters from the entrance and three meters away from either side were pillars stretching into the shadows above. Inscribed into almost every surface was a carving of sorts, following some sort of geometric pattern.

The first thing that could be noticed was the lighting. The only light came in from the entrance behind them, illuminating a roughly dozen meter radius. Anything beyond that was obscured or quickly covered by darkness. This feeling of shadows was further enhanced by the choice of building materials. The tiles, walls, and pillars on the inside was some sort of black marble that twinkled slightly wherever light touched it. It gave the area closest to the light a look not too unlike that of a night sky, the tiles glittering and twinkling softly among darkness.

The next feature that might be noticed was the sheer size of the hall. While the entrance had been just large enough for two average sized people of average height to walk in shoulder by shoulder, the roof of the hall itself was hidden in the darkness. The pillars closest to the door had some sort of alcove about nine meters up and it seemed large enough to house a pair of people for cover if necessary. Furthermore, the tiles themselves were easily three meters by three meters in size, much larger than what was to be expected.

Finally, the geometric details on the walls and floors. They were apparently carved into the tiles and then inlaid with some sort of glass, with each line barely a centimeter in width but snaking throughout the hall. Each line was connected and there wasn't any discernible start or end to the lines. There was a certain plant like pattern about them that just made it oddly enticing, almost hypnotic to look at.

Halberd Side
Taking the weapon out of Ir`s hands, Seth began to examine the weapon carefully, taking note of the runes and inscriptions on the weapon. As Seth inspected the weapon, a slight tingling sensation could be felt on Ir's arm. It felt like an itch but the exact origin point of the sensation just could not be pinned down and scratching the area brought no relief. It wasn't until the weapon was returned to Ir about a half minute later did the tingling sensation begin to subside and fade. As it faded, the voice returned to Ir's mind, chuckling as it did.

"Well, you're right, he's definitely not human. The magic on him is definitely the sealing magic that got me the first time around too. Couldn't tell much else though. You notice anything?"

(OOC-Description of interior given by y7h65)

Allison responded with the creation of several incandescent fireballs, each the size of a clenched fist. The newly created sources of light formed a wide ring around the group, illuminating the ebony marble, the curious designs on the tiling reflecting back false starlight. Each on their own revealed only a small portion of the room, but together managed to light a wide swath. The Phoenix-blood sent one of them speeding at the ceiling, glancing up at the revealed surface while the others continued to circle, shadows dancing about as the fireballs moved around the thick pillars.

Valentine smiled ruefully at his companion’s display of controlled magic. It was to be expected with her elemental attunement, but it still stung his modest pride. Right hand rising into the air, a hollowed sphere of water formed above his gloved fingers. A bright light sprang into existence within, casting a warm glow refracted by the water to supplement the more dynamic lighting of Allison’s fires for roughly twenty feet in all directions, glimmering like sunlight filtering through the sea. His was a rather complex spell that he would have normally been unable to maintain without total focus, but due to years of practice could maintain without excess strain or concentration.

The majority of the room now illuminated, the sheer scale of the hall became evident. At sixty meters long and twelve meters wide, the entry hall showed signs of expert craftsmanship and dedication. The pillars were almost twenty meters tall, the titanic stone structures supporting a vaulted ceiling. The alcoves seemed to have once contained torches, though ashes were the only sign that they had ever existed. The ceiling itself was approximately another five meters taller than the pillars, the geometric inscriptions reaching up the pillars and combining into two threads which leaked into the ceiling, the threads from each of the four corner forming a spiral design on the ceiling.

Wave like carvings were put into the walls, all leading to another door at the end. They seemed to ebb and flow when watched, moving like actual water. A closer inspection revealed that the crystal used in the carving seemed to react with light, darkening slightly before slowly restoring itself sporadically.

At the end, stood a massive set of doors, the two of them almost ten meters tall and four meters wide. Carved of a dark grey stone, the doors exhibited the same amount of work as the rest of the room with geometric carvings covering the surface, angles and circles set in squares. They were pushed slightly ajar, just wide enough for a normal person to fit through. Strangely enough, they seemed to be cracked about a meter and a half off the ground.

"Fascinating." Valentine murmured, lowering his right arm. Naoko glued herself to the now available limb, usual curiosity muted by the vast unfamiliarity of the situation. "A ruin like this so close to Rune?"

"I'm more interested in why those stone doors are damaged like that." Allison replied. "The spirit did say that someone was trying to tamper with this place."

In his moments of mental silence Ir looked at his tingling arm curiously, the very same arm he holds Angra with was now alight with the pins and needles feeling one gets when the blood flow is restricted from an area. he rolled his hand over and again looking at his palm and then the back of his hand, he did this several times wondering what was wrong with his arm and thinking about about eh possibilities that caused, more then a plentiful number of those thoughts were in relationship to Angra and what the weapon had done to his arm. he poked the tinged limb with his other hands finger a few times and decided that it was the stangest thing and he would need to ask Angra about it when he reclaimed the Halberd. he scratched at his inching arm and it did nothing but server to waste some time while he waited to get the weapon back.

"angra welcome back." Ir couldnt help but smile " did you find out what he was? i would very much like to know if you did." His smile faded shorty but surged back again when he heard what Angra said but returned when the sensation in his arm faded." First time around? how many times have you been sealed by that magic?"Ir stood up from his chair and swept his things into his bag, "thank you gentlemen my business here is concluded i take my leave now."

He pushed his chair in and turns, then leaves.

heading into the bright light from the bar stings Ir's eyes and after a moment of adjusting he makes his way around town. as he passes people he asks them what they know of any magic teachers in the city, or martial art schools. After a short time bothering random strangers on the street Ir takes what he learned and heads back to the market where he got the leather and reeds. Finding a shaded corner in the bazaar he sits down and takes out the reeds and begins to weave them into a new pair of sandals. he hesitates before addressing Angra."Angra, how many people have wielded you before? of those people how many experienced a tingling.... almost numbing sensation in the extremity they hold you with in your absence?"

"Well..." The voice started slowly, tone soft. "I've only ever had one wielder before and he was in perfect health and he never had any problems with his body. Before being fatally impaled on the pointy end of a sharpened piece of metal of course."

Ir nods silently before taking on a slightly grim tone. "were you that sharpened piece of metal he was impaled on?"

Isaak raised an eyebrow and turned to Ashley. Foreboding dungeon of doom? Is she serious? He had to resist rolling his eyes at the exaggerated remark. Despite all of his experience watching and learning about people, he could still figure out nothing about the strange swordswoman.

Still, even Isaak felt that the comment wasn't too far off the mark. The main thing that surprised him was less of the design of the cave and more of the size itself. It seemed more like a grand hall meant for a palace, not a dark dwelling in the middle of the jungle.

What's more, it also looked like a place that was perfect for an ambush, a thought that made Isaak clench his hand on his blade handle. The alcoves up on the pillars alone would be perfect hiding spots for archers, and he couldn't tell what else might be waiting out there in the area for them. The light that both Allison and V formed was welcoming, but even with the place illuminated, he could tell that there were still several other hiding places that creatures or people with ill intentions could lie in wait.

And then there was the door. The damage done to them was not normal, not something that could have been done by normal means. Isaak had a feeling that magic was afoot here, and that only added to the possibilities of what was waiting for them beyond. Well, this is one way to start off a journey. It couldn'tve been just another escort...

He sighed, deciding to stop lamenting about his situation and instead strategize around it. Given the space, they could be ambushed at any time, so he relaxed his mind, focusing more on calming his body and readying his mind should he need to use his ability. He sincerely hoped not, but one could never be too careful.

With that out of the way, he glanced back at the party. "If the spirit is right, then whoever it was had some magic at their disposal to bust the doors open like that. I'd suggest we form up back to back. If anything is going to be ambushing us, there are a couple of places to do it from, even in here. And that's not counting what might be waiting for us on the other side of those doors." He let go of his blade handles and instead reached around for his bow and an arrow, dropping his other equipment. "I can go first. I've had a lot of experience watching for traps and ambushes." He crept forward, nocking the end of the arrow against the string and scanning ahead with his eyes, his mind in a calm state and hopefully ready for anything.
