As Red was walking he shivered from the cold air. He kept his ears up until he heard her the other Keidran yelling and let his ears fall "Why do I hear a Keidran yelling? He's throwing me off," Red said in an irritated voice he then asked in Basitin while looking at Vane "{Vane, can you teach me some Keidran when you're not busy?}" He stopped to look in the direction of the other Keidran, moving his ears around.

"<What doing...>" he repeated, not really understanding what he was saying. Red took out another piece of meat and chewed on it, remembering something he swallowed the chewed piece and smiled turning to where supposedly Carden was standing "Heyy... Carden... Is he by any chance yelling in pain and requiring medical assistance?" he asked hoping that the answer was yes.

((Pardon for the small post but I hoped to break the ice.))

"<Stalwart work, Kevin>" said Markus as he ushered the doctor out of his office and into the escort of the soldier. The Basitin shut the door to his office and returned to his paperwork, dabbing his quill into ink again and beginning the day's logs.

Ark narrowed his eyes in the darkness, baring his teeth slightly as he watched the human leaving. Doubt had been sewn in his mind about the lieutenant ever since the campaign had started, and now he was sure that something untoward was brewing.

As he was walking, the cold air starting to get to him, Vane felt thankful that he brought his favorite cloak along, at least it kept him from freezing.*

"Hmm? {Oh... yes, of course...}"
He said, responding to Red's request.

Upon hearing the other Basitin's attempt at keidran, Vane spoke up again.
"{That's keidran for "What doing", but I could be fatally wrong and it's actually an insult for someone's mother, unlikely as that may be.}"

He kept silent when Red asked Carden if this new keidran needed aid, thinking it polite not to interrupt.

(*Had it all along, It just wasn't mentioned yet.)

"<Ah Kevin, I'm just taking these two Basitins to talk to the Lieutenant, they wish to be drafted into our ranks>" He motioned at the prisoner formation behind him as he spoke. "< The box is merely for organisation and safety of all participants.>" Carden looked at the man that stood with Kevin "[Ah you are the man the troops pulled out of the house.]" He analysed the man form where he stood, the evidence of him being captured still fresh on his body. "[I had you down as a rather intellectual individual from a distance and it would appear I was right.]" Carden stood far enough back so that any attack that was launched could be dealt with, however the man did not appear to be in a fighting condition. It also meant that if he was spat at it would to reach him.

Carden turned back and walked up to the box formation, "[No, no injury's doctor. At least not on our Keidran friend although the human standing with him has a few scrapes although it would appear you have been beaten to it by a healer of out own."]. His ears perked when he hear the Basitin tongue. It intrigued him knowing both Keidran and human human dialects as well as some deviations in both that came about from difference regions, he was keen to learn Basitin however now was not the time.

The two tiger keidran stared at the Wolf named Ezikiel. Squinting at him, the small one let out a growl at him lowering his sword. The larger one looked up at the Dog questioningly and the Dog translated for them. Nodding, the smaller tiger keidran talks to the smallest one in keidran and the small one just appears to get more furious before rattling off more Tiger keidran. <You cocky sack of [censored]! Don't underestimate us!> she yelled and the male pulled her ear. <Stop, idiot. Let Jack take care of them. If it gets bad, you can go ham on the fool.> he said to his sister, lecturing her.

The two other keidran in the group, a silver wolf and a red fox, chuckled at the exchange and the Dog just smiled before turning seriously at Ezikiel. <Believe me, you're the one who'd regret it. These two may be young, but they are extremely persistant, especially the little one. My name is Jack.> he spoke like a bullhorn, and the two older keidran in the group grinned at eachother.

The silver wolf laughed a bit and said, "I am a wanderer, I go by the name Farra of the Arctic Wolves, wandering these human lands, hoping for them to recognize the error of their prejudice, hoping for equality, and hoping that the meat I had last night won't make my stomachache get any worse!" he said, with a cocky grin. The fox next to him chuckled and said, <This guy wouldn't hold a candle to me, Arcks of the Coastal Fox Tribe, the almighty Fighter of Justice." he said, putting his fist in the air, with a grin on his face and both the fox and wolf just began to laugh at this. Both of the small Tigers laughed at them, which appeared to be their goal along with mocking the Wolf named Ezikiel.

The Dog again just had a smile when he watched the wolf and fox laugh. He then turned towards the two Tigers and said, <Introduce yourselves to them in Human, it's probably easier for them to understand at this time.> with a nod. The female tiger smirks. <You got it, Jack.> she said before turning to the group of wolf keidran, pumping up his chest a bit and said, "I Rana is the Freezing Tiger Tribe, and fighter of happy-ness." she said, imitating the fox, but failing horribly due to her scatchy Human, where she pronounced Happy then ness instead of "Happiness".

Ranalf shook his head and corrected her while she stared at him and then sighed. <Human language is annoying.> was all she said to him and crossed her arms while Arcks gave her a reassuring smirk that she tried, and it was a good try. The male tiger turned towards the wolf and kept a firm grip on his sword, saying, "I am Ranalf of Freezing Tiger and don't care who align you with." he said, still in broken Human, but easier to understand than Rana's, to which Rana socked him in the arm and began correcting him, to which Ranalf corrected her and it got into a arguement on who was right, as was usual with siblings.

The Dog grinned at them having a small grammar correctional thing in the middle of a mexican standoff. <These two are Twins from the Freezing Tiger tribe, the smallest is named Rana while the bigger is Ranalf. Both can only speak and recognize Keidran speech after they've been around you for a while, so I have to act as a translator due to their poor Human speaking, and they're rather rash in their youth, so they won't put their weapons down cause, to them, that was a bit threatening.> he said, in keidran. If this guy really was Wolf army, then he could probably use them for something, if not just as a way to teach the small Tigers how to speak easier.

Thomas was becoming increasingly infuriated as to how easily the Keidran had switched from confrontational and combative to easy-going and relaxed. Still, the sight of even more Basitin was unusual. If his memory served correctly, the one with the bandaged eyes and shockingly unhygienic hands was their version of doctors. How they operated while blindfolded was a mystery.

At the other Keidran's words, he flushed angrily. "Pulled out of the house? Yes, and being kicked in the groin is only 'moving your foot into the other's genitalia.' I had all of you down as barely tolerable, and apparently I was incorrect. A downgrade may be required. Thank you ever so much for helping me while I was being beaten to death."

Ezikiel listened attentively as the various keidran introduced themselves. He scratched his head a bit as the two tigers spoke in human, a language he didn't speak a lick of. He sheathed and re-attached his blade to his belt as they spoke, keeping a weather eye on the two young ones and frowning slightly.
It was at the point that Jack finished speaking that Alexander moved forward, his sword still out callously.
"<Us threaten you? You are the ones haranguing us he-ack!>" he started, Ezikiel smartly elbowing the wolf in the stomach, causing him to cough and double over.

"<As my brother in arms was saying, we bid you greeting, Jack, Arcks, Farra, Rana, Ranalf. I'm sure we can all agree there's nothing to fight about here. To my left, whose loose muzzle you've already heard, is Alexander>" said Ezikiel. Alexander growled resentfully.

"<To my right is Salem- the three of us are all warriors of the wolf clan>"
The third, younger and more nervous-looking wolk keidran, silent so far, nodded a little. He too, had sheathed his weapon, following Ezikiel's example.

"<You five walk dangerous ground for such a small band. What are you all doing so close to the warfront?>" Ezikiel asked

"[Your more then welcome, you know you would have done the same if it was my kind being dragged thought the streets and beaten]". His was was tinted with bitterness as he recalled many a memory. "[We treat you with as much courtesy as you treat us]". He kept his calm in the presence of the human. The then looked to the guards "< He thinks we need a downgrade of class... pity you can't get lower then being human>". It was met with smirks and the odd chuckle from the guards. He looked back over the head of the human to address Kevin. "<Have fun with this one my friend. I'll look after these two in the mean time>". He walked past Kevin motioning for the box to follow behind him as he continued to the Inn. "<He may have been an intellectual but he wasn't intelligent enough to leave when we arrived>" Carden muttered under his breath. When they reached the Inn Carden turned to address the box. "[ You two]" He said pointing at Red and Vane. "[ Come over here and wait out side the door, I will head inside and talk to the Lieutenant then he will decide what is to be done with you.]". The Box opened up allowing for the Basitins to leave, two of the guards stepped forward nearer the door to act as protection. Carden turned on his heals and walked up to the door. He walked thought the door way noting the damaged frame from where the door had been ripped off and entered the reception area. "[ Is the Lieutenant free? I have two of his kind out side under guard looking to enlist]"

Red carefully walked up to the left side of the door, his hand fell on the shoulder of the Keidran standing there, he thought for a bit and grinned widely with his blood stained teeth, not cleaned after his snack. He held his shoulder and moved it to the side moving the Keidran, with ought using any force using the petrification of the sight to do what he wanted to do. He then stepped forward and spun on one of his leg leaning his back against the wall, he grinned at the Keidran to the left of him and said, "I just wanted to lean on the house, nothing else." he said this because the other Keidran might've thought that he wanted to get into the house, but he just stood there leaning, passive as a snail.

He started to hum a tune, he held his hands like he was holding a Violin. He turned to look at Vane saying while lowering his hands back down to his sides "{Some humans thought me how to play a weird instrument, sounds beautiful if you play it right...} he grinned looking to the sky, remembering a fond memory, his expression going sower.**

((**:If the violin part is not acceptable I shall remove it just PM me.))

"This. Blood. won't. come. off! Wait, what?"
Vane was trying to wipe the blood off his hands with no success, and didn't hear Red very clearly, but the way he held his hands said it for him.

"{Oh, you play one of those? Yes, those do generally sound very good, but I prefer the... what was it called again...? Piano. The humans may have their faults, but their taste in music isn't one of them.*}"
He was wearing a small smile now, remembering how a piano sounded when played by a competent player.

"{I learned how to play it some time ago, I was pretty good at it, too... But that's ancient history... Now that I...}"
He noticed that he nearly let something slip, and changed what he was saying immediately.

"{Perhaps I'll play a song if we find one. I'm quite sure I remember at least one...}"
After saying this, he had remembered the time when he learned the song he was thinking about, and let out a small sigh.

"{A beautiful song, too... Even better when you're playing it... Ah, but it may be a while before we get a chance to hear such things.}"

(*I just assumed that the humans were the ones who have pianos... If I'm wrong, please correct me.)

"<I am here, Soldier, just a moment>" said Markus from inside the inn.
The Basitin was descending the stairs from the upper floor when Carden called in, and had quickly and silently tucked a small scroll out of sight under his cloak.
An ear twitching, the Basitin glanced over his shoulder to the shadowed corner of the inn, feeling as if eyes were trained on his back. Upon looking, nothing was there, save the broken furniture and decor.
He tilted his head slightly to the wolf and paused for moment.
"<You are Carden, aren't you-arrived today? Why are you speaking human? And I may be a little rusty in speaking it, but did you say->"

Markus departed from the gloom of the inn and stepped outside, blinking and staring at the two Basitins who had been brought forth to him, astonished by their presence.
"{Well, I wasn't expecting this, that's for sure}" he said in basitin, a thick layer of keidran accent lying atop of it. He strode past the wolf keidran, his gaze drilling into both Basitin, viewing them as if they were both unworldly creatures.
"{I apologise. I have not seen other basitin for nigh on ten years. I am Markus Hailes- ex-lieutenant. Who..."

The Basitin stepped forward toward Vane, scrutinizing him and glancing to Red.
"{Who are you, and for what reason are you here? What has driven you so far from the isles? Are you both exiles, too?}"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Honestly? Not a clue about music in the TK universe. Humans probably do have that stuff- I certainly don't see keidrans or basitin having an extended musical scene. Y'know I think I did see that Eric in the comic has a piano in his home. Nothing you guys said causes an issue though, don't worry)

"<Indeed I am Carden>". He then mentally kicked him self, he had become accustom to using the human language to communicate with the Basitins along with the Human intellectual. "<My apologise for speaking in the human dialect. It was then only way I could communicate with those of your kind.>" Carden stepped aside as the Lieutenant strode past him. He then stepped out and stayed behind Marcus, out of the way. He was partially waiting to see if the Lieutenant had received word of his actions or could deduce them from the number of surrounding guards. The other part was observing the lieutenant as if he had been one of his targets. Those in the company of there own kind could be prone to revealing information they wouldn't in the company of others. However the Basitin tongue was cryptic to Carden's ears. He then relayed on the analysis of his gestures, however it was a general rule that those in power reviled less from there emotions and actions as they had a domineering aura to maintain. He also hoped that the Lieutenant probing gaze remained on the Basitins.

"{Exiles?}" Red said pushing himself off the wall and turning to the Lieutenant. He said "{Well not me at least,}" motion to Vane with the back of his hand. "{My name is Dr.Ketsueki, loyal to King Adelaide. It's just Doc or Red for allies. he introduced himself saluting when he spoke his King's name. He tightened the black bandage covering his eyes, grinning widely. "{I was given permission off the Isles, I am just adventuring at the moment, but I would happily sign a short-term agreement, all I need is meat, that house to stay in, freedom and patients... The more the merrier.}" he explained, breaking out into a quiet psychotic laugh at the last part.

After around a second of laughing he stopped and filled his lungs back up. He then turned to the direction of Vane and stepped to the side of the door, bowing lightly and motioning his hands towards the entrance "{Seers first,}" he said.

If there was one thing about being off the isles Vane hated, it was this one damned question: Are you an exile? It felt bloody rude to just ask a Basitin that question almost out of nowhere, even if the one asking is another Basitin!

He gave up trying to clean the blood off his hands, and spoke to the new basitin, Markus.

"{If I was an exile, wouldn't you think NOT to bring up painful memories?}"
He spoke in an offended tone, as if it was the deepest offense to talk of the subject, he didn't want to go anywhere near that topic of conversation.

He reverted to a mostly normal, polite tone as he explained himself.
"{Hmph, If you must know, my name is Vane, and that's my only name...}"
"{I am here because I am in a difficult situation, I'm out of food and other supplies, meaning I can't go anywhere without starving. I figured that if I join your war-party, I will at least keep myself fed.}"

Having said his part, and seeing Red motioning to the door saying "{Seers first.}", he took that to mean Red was having him go inside first, he shrugged slightly and walked through the door.

Oh, that's rich. Thomas watched the Keidrans go after that smug [censored] had gotten in his 'last words', fingers twitching furiously. To say that I'd join in a mob beating of someone who hadn't done anything to them. I've treated Keidran in the past, you ignorant creatures. I'm a doctor, not an uncivilized savage who condones savage treatment of captives.

Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately for the Keidran's future well-being, Thomas only knew rudiments of Keidran language, and essentially everything the others had said passed over his head. Something about humans delivered in that pathetic attempt at a condescending tone that drew brutish chuckles from the guards, and something about a friend.

"Can we go now?" He almost snarled at his guard, trying to calm himself with dreams of painfully operating on that furry lunk.
