"You are very close. See my men are all over this kingdom and as such my generals have been... gone. They have been looking for replacements for a long time. They have been monitoring you guys for a long time. I have called you into a battle that you might not like. If you do the job, i will give you a reward that you may like There will be people who would not like you, since Your king is half-beast as you know. This does not sit kindly with others. I don't care for them i just move on like a normal person. Anyway back to what i was getting at, You have been seleted by my generals to help me with these threats that have been around this world. If you don't feel like doing these tasks, please tell me, but you will be trained by the best, keep in the best conduction, and live in this castle. If after you feel like leaving tell me now."

Talia didn't sit, but looked nervously at Vice. I didn't know we had a king...And that he was a half-beast like me...But...Why is he just showing his wings?! What if those vigilantes see...? she was thinking but then heard what Vice said. "Ummm...But, I d-don't really see how I can h-help...I'm just a refugee..." she said, still with her robe wrapped around her and her hood was down now, showing her long, brown hair and her eyes, so blue that they looked like they were glowing. She just looked at him curiously, still nervous from the gaurds' weapons in the room(if there are any, if not, the ones she saw while being escorted).

"My generals have seen potential in all of you. If they didn't, than why would all of you be here. You think they would take time and write a report on a random person and make letters to these people just to make a joke. We are experencing lost of fate because of all of these fractions. Young lady I see it in your eyes you have had a hard life like one of my friends. i want you to think of the power you may have. Not going over board with it but still power. You can see to it that the people will get what they deserve. Under my orders of course."

"I'll be perfectly honest, Your Majesty; when I first saw the letter, I thought it was going to be a trap to have me arrested. Being known only as the most notorious bar fighter makes a guy question things like that. Then I saw this young woman get one." He gestured towards Talia. "I figured that unless someone like her somehow got to be known like I am then this could be legit. Turns out I was right. Still, I have no clue why you'd want a drunkard like me to fight for you." Gray leaned against a wall behind the others and looked at the king. "Now, you say that your generals have been watching us and have selected us to aid you, but what if I, for instance, happen to be extremely prejudice against your kind, what would be in it for me?" While he waited for a response, Gray pulled a flask out of his pocket and gulped down the booze inside.

Vice stood up and looked Gray in the eye. "I don't care about myself. I don't even know your names, but i have faith in my father's generals. I just want to make this kingdom in the image of what it should be. A place where nobody will have to fight for food, land, or prejudicest. I hope that in the future your hate for my kind will go away. I also know that you have a big rap sheet with me. If you help me i will make sure the charges on you are dropped, but if you try to attack me or any innocent person without a good reason. I will make sure that you will never drink again."

"Well I'll toss my hat into the ring for such a kingdom. I'm more so interested to know what kind of training you have for us. I'm guessin it will be combat casting technigues for mages. If Mr. Drunkard is who he says he is then all you need to do is give him some boos and let him loose on who we are fighting. Which brings me to that little hitch of our job. Who are we actually going to be fighting?" Hal was really wondering abouth that exact nitch. Who really warrants this group for the king to call on.

After Vice camled down, he said "Well I need to see how far you are with your skills.
"King Vice your food is ready" Said a voice in another room.
Crap thought Vice "if you excuse me for a minute."

Gray laughed at the king's response. "You're alright, your majesty. And for the record, I don't actually hate your kind, I was just testing you. You passed." He smirked and moved towards the table and took a seat, leaning back in his chair.

Talia just kept shifting a bit nervously. She was mulling over it. So...It's either help end prejudice against my kind...or let others risk themselves for me... she thought then kept shifting very uncomfortably. Talia sighed and leaned back against the wall, which hurt her wings, so she stopped((The wings are wrapped around her, so they don't appear in the robe)) and stood back up. She sighed and decided to try to calm herself. She took out her flute, closed her eyes, and began playing a slow song that usually calmed her nerves, quietly at first, but played a bit louder when she was calmed down.
