Alex sat down on the edge of one of the tanks, the soldiers not even noticing the only barely flickering patch of air. "A parlay...?" He murmured to himself, the suit's soundproofing preventing any sound on the outside. He shrugged, gently fingering the trigger while he wondered...What could the Corv offer him? He was hardly a trustworthy fellow. Probably better to shoot him. But then the tanks will notice. Ahhh, tanks. If he hid maybe he could make the shot, but what could be be passing up on?
The trail of thought continued as he sat there, unseen, barely a few metres from the man who had just a little while ago attempted to kill them all.

Jacob's POV
Jacob stopped firing the bolter as Corv stepped out in front of his troops. "Ah, Mr.Corv. What a pleasant surprise. " Putting his arms across his chest, Jacob's head continued to stare forward. "I'm willing to discuss this like civilized men, if you desire. I'd prefer that both parties leave this intact. Well, I'll be intact regardless of how this turns out. Not so sure about the two behind me or the detachment of troops you have here though. So, what are your terms? I'll give you my offer after you present yours."

In all of the confusion they must not have noticed Carlos' selfless offer to assist them in their moment of need. It didn't really bother him because now he had a real show he got to see the Corv in person. He hid in the shadows watching the display and waited anxiously to see the outcome.

Zach looked around, fact they could hear so many guns being reloaded at the same time instilled some fear in him, also he had picked up some of the surface emotions of the figure standing before them, he thought, "calm cool collected, this is a man who has complete control of the situation, or he is confident enough to believe it." he nodded "alright...old dunes proverb, don't fight a battle you cannot win...and this case for me it is thus...I'm open to parley, and i believe this is the only time we'll be given the opportunity."

Maze finally came out of from where he was to the group and the Corv just in time to hear the Corv speak and then Maze spoke "I would love a nice parley..However I still have a job to finish and I will fulfill it..This is no longer about material goods but about reputation and honor..And just for the thrill of the hunt.This is a game of hunter and prey and Saint is my prey till either he's dead or I am."Maze said laughing a bit manicly to himself as he mentioned the thrill of the hunt and all that.

A small laugh came from the Corv, he seemed to be somewhat pleased. "I am glad you fine bunch can see some reason, no matter how faint it is..." Turning his back to the group, he extended both hands, as if holding, or showing, Kingston as his own. "You see, Kingston is a key point in the Red Dunes. An important trading route that controls the flow of an entire continent. The Saint couldn't see the actual power he held but me however... Kingston is the key to the start of an empire!" Lily though, wasn't really fond of hearing the rants of a would be Despot Tyrant. "Just get on it with it Corv, what do you want?"

Turning back to address the group, he laughed again. "Such impatience, a bad habit girl. Although to the point, a nice trait. Cancels out I suppose... My proposition is quite simple, a group of raiders has been amassing in the outskirts of Kingston. I could stop them myself but it would cost me dearly, not to mention ruin Kingston's infrastructure..." Looking around at the ruined tank and dead troops, Corv just shrugged. "Paying you lot would be infinitely... cheaper... Simple job really, kill the raider amassing said group, earn Corv's official pardon for this little display and get a nice gift from yours truly." He then addressed Maze directly, after his little comment. "The Saint was also sighted heading towards the raider group, if it is any consolation."

Dom, listening from the roof since the fire stopped, thought over the proposition. *Sounds like a good job...* He jumps down off of the roof, landing behind the group facing the soldiers. He steps up beside the others, "Sounds like a job I'd be up for." Dom absentmindedly scratches at the back of his right gloves. "About how big is this raider group?"

"Well I am a assassin and this also sounds like a assassin's job and so I will kill as many raiders as I can before going back on the hunt.Besides it's best to get the little pesky things out of the way before heading for the big thing.Also my blades do thirst for blood and I would be to..If I could drink anymore. "Maze said pulling how his blades and getting ready but waited to see what the rest of the group would say.

Carlos thought to himself, This is worse then I thought. If the corv takes full control of Kingston then this could quickly turn into a full military zone and that would mean death for almost all of the people that live here. These fools have no idea that sooner or later when that corv doesn't see them as use full any more he will simply kill them. I think I better have a word with them but I'll wait for an opportunity with fewer soldiers watching. Then he jumped down into a small secret tunnel that was hidden in a false floor board and used it to get out of the area without anyone noticing he was there.

Alex rolled his eyes and deactivated the cloak, causing an exclamation from several of the soldiers around him, who hadn't even suspected his presence. He looked around, the three unblinking red lights casting a strange glow on his mask, and yawned. "Death..." he started, looking directly at the Corv. "Is a waste of money and workforce. If you specifically want him dead...I'm not interested. I could make just as good a price selling him into slavery."

Jacob's POV
Jacob nodded as the Corv gave his offer. "OK, so how about this? What's the equipment on the raiders, the gift that you'll give me, and the pay upon completion?" Jacob fiddled with his sword as some random guy appeared behind them, talking about his swords and what not. Turning his head slightly, Jacob would've given the man a curious look, if he still had eyebrows. Or eyelids. Or eyes. "When did....." Looking around, Jacob noticed how a bunch of people had gathered. "Wait a second. We were the only one who even did anything! You all just seemed to have stood back and wait or hid somewhere! Shouldn't the offer only apply to us since we appear to be the only one who actually fought on foot?"

Alex laughed slightly at Jacob. "Hey. See the wreck of that tank? Did you miss the missile or something?" He pointed to several soldiers who appeared to be in some sort of seizure, twitching on the ground. "Thats mine too. Either way, I doubt that you...or anyone, for that matter, could by themself take on a group the Corv himself thinks will waste his soldiers."

Jacob's POV
Jacob sighed. "Alternatively, the reason we're being sent is because we dispatched his troops so easily." Jacob uncrossed his arm for a second, before crossing them again. "And I managed to destroy a tank too. I was on foot. You were in a ship. That's the difference."

Alex shrugged. "Well you're some kind of juggernaught." He retorted. "Either way, that shot was very precise. It took skill...Oh, and I almost forgot. I almost blew up the fuel tank on this one, too." He said, tapping the edge of the tank he was sitting on. "Didn't work as well as I thought it would."

Zachary looked at them and sent a picture of smoking tank into their heads "OK we get it, both of you can annihilate things to the point of it being a smoking metal husk. however he," he motioned to the juggernaut in front of him, "can do it on foot, and he does deserve much of the credit of the fact he did get us out alive." he then turned to corv, "At this point, with saint i can assume one of 2 things, he is either A. very desperate, meaning you have scared him so much only God could give him solace...a good job i must say, or b. he has some form of connections with the bandits. However, you probably don't pay for speculation." he looked out into the distance. "I'll take the contract. If anyone else is willing, i don't care who's in charge. but I'd prefer it be more than one guy with a rifle and 2 pistols" he then mentally whispered to the titan (Jacob) and the girl (lily), "you got my respect, if that means anything to you..."
