Alex double checked his straps, and walked over to where to bulk off the group. They all looked nervous, and he couldn't blame. He felt excited, though, to finally be doing something useful. Looking over at Kassy, he noticed she felt the same except a little bit more.
*When they say to take the 'leap' or 'dive', I don't think they usually mean it this literally*, Alex thought to himself.

Eaton stood up and walked up to Slater. Whoa that is long way down... I bet ya' my next dessert you won't do a backflip when you jump. Eaton looked at him with one eyebrow raised and a bit grin.

Ezekiel carefully fastened the straps of his parachute, then rechecked them a few times to be sure. He turned to Annabelle to ask if she was ready. He saw her about to jump out. Hey Will. he called out over the deafening sound of the engines.
Yeah, Zeke?
Two things. One, were not jumping just yet, and two, put on a god-damn parachute.
Right. Probably a good idea.
Christ thought Ezekiel, And she's in charge. We're all screwed.

Lyra had made sure long ago that her own parachute was secure. Sadly, no-one had thought to give her something sharp - doubtless she'd find one once she had landed, however.

flying was... nice. Exhilarating. She shifted from foot to foot, somewhat eager to feel the rush of wind through her fur. she resolved that she wouldn't open the chute until she had to... maybe. If her nerve held - which it generally did.

Mikhail sat on one of the wall mounted chairs, inspecting a 40 mm grenade. Satisfied that it wouldn't explode mid-jump, he put it back in it's slot on his ammo belt. Meanwhile, Anastasia was doing something similar; adjusting her weapon's sights. The twins usually did this sort of thing before a sim battle, but something was different. They had checked over their gear silently, when they would normally be constantly taunting each other. A sense of apprehension was in the air, and neither of the two could wait much longer. At last, Mikhail spoke up. "Stay close, and keep alert. We might run into some fire from the air defenses." Anastasia nodded silently. "This is it" she thought to herself. "What we've been training for all these years."

Justin tried taking a few deep breaths, but it was no good. As he looked over the edge, a green light lit up near the door.

Drop zone! Jump now!

The announcement made Justin jump a bit. This sent him out the back of the plane and freefalling down to Corsica.

Slater heard the announcement blare over the transports speaker and he looked out the door again. He felt his heart drop into his stomach when he saw just how high up they were again. Taking a deep breath he jumped out into the open sky and began his descent to the island.

"They say a cat always lands on it's feet! Let's find out!", yelled Alex.

Alex closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and with a devil's smile jumped.

(This is it!) thought Tasso, he walked to the edge and spun around to grin at his teammates as he let himself fall backwards out of the plane.

Kale rubbed his left ear as the announcement was made. "[censored]. Well that was loud." Letting out one final deep sigh, Kale peeked back over the edge. "Well, here goes." He shrugged his shoulders, and turned back around towards the remaining few members still inside. Giving a brief, expressionless smile, Kale listlessly let himself fall out from the doorway towards the ground below.

Kassy watched as her team began to fall out of the back of the transport, just relaxing and falling out gracefully. Her heart raced, pumping loudly in her ears, *Alright! Let's do this*. She backed up and smiled at Kale as he felt out of the plane, *Pfft! Screw that!*, she thought as she ran full speed to the opening and jumped out spreading her arms out like a bird, *Holy [censored]! this is awesome!*

The air rushed past Justin as he fell. But he wasn't scared. He was loving every second of this. It was nothing like the simulations. For starters, there was no way they could emulate the noise properly. He heard a beeping tone in his ear and knew what it meant. An instant later, the parachute automatically deployed, cutting his fall short.

Whoo!! Hahaha!!

He sailed down to earth and hit the ground lightly. He took of his parachute and looked up, waiting for the rest of his squad.

You know what, screw this, I'm jumping. Just as Annabelle said that, the green light came on. Bravo, you're clear for jump.
Damn straight! Annabelle went up to the door and threw her self out. Uh... alright then. Come on everyone, let's go. with that, Ezekiel jumped out after Annabelle.

Tasso free-fell towards the earth, it was like nothing he had ever felt before. The rush, the excitement, he was so exhilarated that he started laughing, which was cut short by the parachute suddenly opening.

He touched down gently close to Justin and looked at him while struggling with the straps to undo the parachute Wow.....that was incredible! he said loudly, his eyes wide

Kassy was loving every second of the free-fall, it was so much more exhilarating than the simulation. She was a bit disappointed when she heard the beeping, signalling her parachute was going to come out. It deployed and she felt graceful as she glided towards the ground. Kassy landed lightly on the ground a yard away from Justin and Tasso, she released her parachute and walked towards them. "Damn! That was awesome!"
