Matthew shrugged when Stalin wouldn't respond and just moved on to something else. He noticed a waitress heading for the kitchen and flagged her down. "Excuse me miss, could I get a cup of tea and... whatever you'd recommend for a meal? I'll be seated with the gentleman who ordered the steak." He produced a couple of gold coins and handed them to her. "That should more than cover it, rest is yours." He smiled as her eyes lit up at the sight of the money and moved to the table Alec was sitting at, taking a seat across from him. "Quite the inn, never seen a waitress dance with a patron like that. Oh, hope you don't mine me sitting here, but there aren't any other open tables."

"I don't mind at all," Alec smiled at the boy who joined his table. "I always find meals to be more enjoyable with a little company." He looked at Matt for a little bit. 'He seems too oddly dressed to be a local from here.' He began to rifle through his satchel, "By the way, what's your name? If we're going to be dining together, we can probably swap some stories while we're at it."

"My name is Matthew Cross" he said as he turned to face the man across from him, "friends call me Matt, but most know me as Cross. What about you? What shall I call you?"

"My name is Alec Fulman, Alec will suit me just fine. I guess you can consider me a merchant of sorts," Alec pulled a small trinket of sorts from his satchel and placed it on the table. "although I find that dealing with produce, livestock and tools to be rather dull." he passed the thing to Matt; the trinket's gemstones glinted as light passed through them. "So Matt, care to take a guess as to what this could be?" Alec reached back into his satchel and brought out an engraved stone while he left Matt to ponder about the trinket.

Matt turned the object over in his hands and his eyes lit up. He found his next target. "Well.." he said, hiding his excitement at this rare treasure, "it looks like... some sort of" Matt paused as he examined the strange little trinket. "You know, I'm not even gonna pretend I know what this thing is, I'll just end up looking silly." He set it on the table and looked back at Alec. "So, what is it?"

"I found that while exploring the ruins of Hammerfell a few months back. From what I can tell, it's a sigil of invocation." Alec looked back at Matt, who was already confused. He took a short breath. "I should probably explain this. You know how some people, as well as certain races, are just inept at using the magic winds? Well many years ago, the dwarves were experimenting alongside humans in order to find a method which would allow them to tap in to the power of the winds." He picked up the trinket. "This sigil was one such method. The sigil was typically grafted onto the user's skin; the idea was that if the gems were in direct contact with a person's bloodstream, they would effectively infuse themselves with magical energies."

Alec fiddled with the artifact. "Based on what we know about the magical winds, their theory was fine; although, they overlooked an important factor. Most bodies are not fit to withstand constant exposure to the winds. Most of the sigil users died to the constant exposure." Alec put the sigil down and pointed to an engraving at the base of it. "Look here, this particular sigil belonged to a dwarf named Giko Gravelaxe. This was the only sigil I found, and it was resting on a skeleton's ribcage. From what I could summize, most of the dead there were buried with only one possession. The fact that this Giko person was buried with his sigil could only mean that he was one of the lucky few who didn't die within a couple of weeks." He stopped himself on that note. "My apologies, I tend to ramble on the topic of history. he scratched his head sheepishly. "You don't look like you're from around here. Mind telling me what brings you to Falsen?"

"Well, I had heard of this statue that supposedly has magical properties and I wanted to.. see it. The only problem is that it's owned by a very wealthy man that lives in a house near the peak of the mountain. So anyway, I go up there to check it out when I trip an alarm I forgot about and get trapped in a cage. A few minutes later the local law enforcement showed up and hauled me in to the jail just up the way." Matt paused for a moment and looked towards the window. Wonder if they noticed yet... He shook his head and looked back at Alec, "you are correct though, I'm not from around here, I came from a coastal city quite a ways away from here. So, you're a merchant, huh? Interesting profession" he added, hoping to steer the conversation away from himself.

Victoria, Darus

Victoria and Dale began dancing on the table, he was already better then what she had expected. "Only if you try anything naughty." She said winking at the man, to answer his question. The dance, was cut extremely short when the roof completely collapsed over them. Victoria was thrown on the western wall while Dale was thrown east to the other side of the inn. Everyone was confused and baffled when a bright blinding light erupted from the whole in the roof. A four winged angel, perfect in appearance, consumed with pure white light as a halo formed around his head.

He slowly descended as his face showed no emotion. Everyone seemed not able to move at the sight of the angel, until the angel himself broke the silence. "I demand the rose of the black tower..." He simply said in a monotone voice, waiting for the mortals to respond. The angel seemed oblivious that his pray was thrown just behind him.

Andrei was thrown off his seat as something broke through the ceiling, broke everything, and apparently wants a rose... in any other Situation that alone would confused more intelligent men, but in this case Andrei reacts instantly, both because he senses danger, and the fact that whoever that was, it destroyed the inn, and the lose shrapnel from the ceiling injured several guests and waitresses. Not when I around!
Andrei himself was half buried under a shattered ceiling beam. he flexes his muscles and throws it to the side.
he was quick to get up, showing his almost unnatural strength considering he had been crushed by a beam and wearing full plate.
as he got up, he grabbed his shield on the ground he leaned against his seat earlier, and strapped it to his left arm with trained movements. then he placed his right hand on his Paladin's swords grip. with a serious, calm expression he faced the threat.
he wasn't expecting a beautiful angel girl. that threw him off enough so that he just stared for a few seconds. then he heared the moan of one of the wounded and pulled him back together

"what? this Inn, not Flowershop!"

Andrei could practically see the gears in the heads of the other guests turn. a man, wearing paladin armor, armed with a paladin shield and blessed sword, that looks like a paladin with his golden hair, green eyes and strong expression, and gives off a sense of strength, who's deep voice was a just like you expect from a righteous guardian of the people..
can't use basic grammar in his Speech?
This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down.

Dale woke up after a couple of second of daze. "OK first rule of society in general Knock on the DOOR first, then again it's an angel so rules don't apply to it." he grabbed and orb out oh his pocket and focused on it white magic surged from it healing the few gashes on his arm. he then looked at the rose next to him, he then looked at Victoria, he refrained from looking to long, and proceeded to look around more meanwhile thinking in his head "This is no coincidence...was she right? is this the chaos she spoke of? and she's the only thing new that's come along..." he stood up and brushed himself off, but gripped the orb tighter, wishing in his head that he had his swords and armor, he always left them at home "alright...where is this black tower you speak off?"

Kaito, Alpha's POV
Alpha yelped, jumped underneath the table, and threw his cloak over himself as the roof was blown off. Kaito meanwhile, was holding and drinking from a cup of tea while the roof was torn off. After finishing off the cup of tea, he pulled a gold coin and put it onto the table. He then turned his head to the angel that was currently floating above the ground. "An angel. That's something you do not see anything." He stood up and did a polite bow before looking the angel in the eye with a small grin. "I'm sorry sir, but it seems your target is not here. You are also disturbing the peace quite a bit. Would you mind landing outside so we can talk this out?" Alpha yelled from his hiding spot. "What are you nuts?! He's gonna kill us!"

Alec saw Victoria get thrown past him before he was almost buried beneath rubble. He struggled to shove off the debris that fell over him. Once he was free to stand up, Alec looked around, "Oww... what just happened? he noticed the angel. "Oh dear mother of god." Alec stared at the angel until he made his demand. 'The rose of the black tower? What the hell is he talking about? After some of the other people in the inn voiced up, Alec put in his own query. "Perhaps... you could be a little more specific? Just what exactly are you looking for?"

Victoria, Darus

The angel's face seemed annoyed yet monotone at the same time. Looking at the group of people posing questions, it was clear they didn't know who the Rose was. "The Rose of the black tower is not a flower, it is a she. It must be easy to find as she is the only one to cross the mountains..." Half the inn suddenly got up and was about to point at Victoria when the Inn owner suddenly yeld. "ANY OF YOU RAT HER OUT AND YOU'LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH ME!" The people from the inn looked back and forth when they decided just to run out of there, they werent going to mes with an angel or a pissed off innowner. "You would refuse the will of the Gods mortal?" "I know who you work for "angel", you aren't getting her." "Then so be it." Two beams of light grew out of his hands, forming into swords beaming with energy. "I give one last warning, the Rose, now." He looked at everyone still there, the Paladin seemed the biggest threat and Darus knew that you didn't need to speak well to swing a sword, the God of war was proof of that.

Rulia

Rulia had been sitting in the corner of the pub, but now, with recent events, was now standing her right hand on her sword's handle on her right hip. Just what I need when I wanted a rest. Guess I can't get a break then. she said, seeing how it will probably turn into a fight between an angel and a lot of civilians and a paladin to go into combat. She would, of course, jump in to defend others, even though she didn't know them. And so, she pulled her sword out a little bit to reveal some of the shining metal of her blade, her purple hair and orange overcoat where whisped around her and she cracked her neck in preparation.

"Woah!" Matthew quickly jumped back from the area where the roof caved in and extended the blade on his arm, assuming a combat stance as he landed. He stared down the angel that had come in from above and watched him carefully as he questioned the inn. Matt looked at the innkeeper as he called out the other patrons and let out a chuckle as they fled. "Well, at least there wont be as many people in the way when this gets ugly, which looks very likely." As the angel summoned his weapons, Matt started to bounce on his feet, waiting for him to make the first move.
