Dragon Academy, Dragon Citadel

The skies were cloudy as Yegan One-eye walked up on the platform that had been built for this occasion. Yegan held an impressive figure, but what made the murmur around the courtyard die out was the very power that seemed to radiate from him. He was wearing his full armor and his betrusted axe, Below him stood the hundreds of new students and dragons, waiting for the introduction speak to their new life. He looked at them, people from all different classes and upbringings. But in his eyes, they were all the same. Warriors. Ready to lay down their lives to protect Livgard. He looked around and noticed many faces familiar trough stories and old friends. Arachna Grim, daugther of Morr and Azza with who he fought besides during the battle of the Golden fields. He turned his face closer to the platform and saw the elite student Arcks Chivalry, well-known inside the walls of the Academy. He smiled before stepping up to the very edge of the platform and raised his voice.

"You've all come here today to begin your new life. You've all experienced different things and see the world in different ways. All of you have been raised with an image of the world, that made you believe that everyone is ranked into different classes. Nobility, farmer, thief, soldier." He stopped for a second before slamming his fist against his breastplate, the sound echoing over the courtyard. "This is what define who you are and what you can accomplish! When you are here, you will be one amongst others. Here, you will be a soldier and all others around you, will be your brother or sister in arms. There are no differences between you all inside these walls!" A loud cheer was heard, mostly from the soldiers from the poor upbringing. Yegan chuckled. It had begun. "But as for now, you will be shown your accomodations. Welcome, to your new home at the Dragon Academy."

As Yegan walked down the platform and headed towards the main building, in the very middle of the Academy. The Academy, well, it could be called a city. It was surrounded by a large, circular, white wall and it was built up as a bike wheel, the citadel being its middle. A soldier came up on the platform and bellowed out with a hoarse voice, reaching every ear in the courtyard.

"Alright, when you hear your name being called, go to the banner assigned for you. There, you will meet your squad leader and he or she will take you to your house. Your dragons will be shown to their residence which will be connected to your house. Now, starting up. Group Thorin, the green and yellow banner with a dragon claw on it: Drake Phantomeye, Darius Night, Matthias Strongarm, Alistair Stoneclaw, Shane Swiftstep, Arachna Grim, Talia Hope and Dailan Lightfeet. Your squad leader will be Arcks Chivalry. Go." He paused for a moment so that the names called out could move out. "Group Khadiv: Gabriel Verkai Scaravetta, Vendere Lindas, Sophia Heart, Juan Blood Scythe, Zharnash Flamestorm." He called out some other names before closing the book and giving it to another soldier. "I will take you to your house since your squad leader is out on patrol. Your banner is the red and golden one with a fist one it. Let's move!"

As soon as everyone had gathered around their banners they moved out in the city, towards their respective squad houses. This was a moment of free speech between the students. Dailain was walking alone with his staff and ragged clothes, casting shy looks at Arachna Grim. He had never seen much of the world but her attire and especially her sword, amazed him and he couldn't stop looking. He couldn't really muster up enough courage to talk to her so he kept throwing glances at her while keeping a distance.

The introduction 'party' seemed to echo thought the city or at least the dungeon. There was little more in the cells, some prisoners yelling smart comments back, not caring if they got any responses back. In one of the farther back cells, its prisoner got off the plank of wood they decided to call a bed, checking the bandage on his arm. He looked out the small window, ready for almost anything.
(Sorry about the small intro post, but you can't really put anything when you're in a cell.)

Darius, Geist's POV
Darius and Geist quietly shuffled to where the banner was. He looked around the group of students currently here. A berserker from a famous couple, a bunch of nobodies, and a lot of hopefuls. He quietly sighed to himself and tightened the sashes holding his spears to his back. Geist quietly nudged Darius. "Problem pardner?" Darius shook his head as a no. "Well, hey at least there's free lodging while we learn, and we can do a lot more for the country here." Darius sighed and shrugged. He hoped none of the people here would get in his way.

Sophia could feel Dawn's excitement as they followed the soldier to their quarters. Dawn had never seen so many other dragons before and it was understandable. She just hoped the other dragons would get along well with Dawn. She looked around at her squad mates and thought to herself, "No one looks like they're from the Southlands, though I guess I don't either." She was a nervous though, wondering how her skills would hold up to what standards the Academy might have. Trying to calm her nerves a little she started to hum quietly to herself.

Alistair and Sirrush stared at the yellow and green banner, Alistair looked at the symbol in particular heh.....a claw? how appropriate... he said to Sirrush, who responded with a growl. Alistair turned and faced Sirrush You're not still- There are too many humans here. Sirrush said, cutting Alsitair off.

Alistair sighed, exasperated by the dragons stubborness. Look, you knew that there would be other humans here! That doesn't mean I was ok with it. He made us! would YOU have fought him? Hmrph... Precisely. Alistair stated matter-of-factly, ending the conversation that they have had many times before. They both knew that there was no way they could have defeated the hermit, their only choice was to do what he said, to Sirrush's great displeasure.

Alistair on the other hand was looking forward to the experience, he liked the idea of learning more about dragons and meeting new people and wanted Sirrush to share his excitement. Look, i'll PROVE to you that they aren't all evil, watch. said Alistair, walking to the nearest person he could see, a man with one blue eye and one green. Hello my name is Alistair and the grumpy-looking dragon behind me is called Sirrush, whats your name? said Alistair, putting out the non-clawed hand out awkwardly.

As Drake and Bane walked together under their banner, someone walked up to Drake. "Huh?" Drake turned around and looked at the man who had approached him, "oh, uh, my name's Drake and this is Bane, nice to meet you." Drake shook Alistair's hand and Bane merely breathed a quick frost cloud from his nose, his way of saying hello. "Don't mind him, he's not much of a talker."

((OOC: Do the dragons talk out loud, or is it kinda like Eragon where the rider and dragon have a mental link?))

After Shane heard his name called, he started to follow some of the others to their squad leader. As he looked around, he noticed some people already hitting it off with each other. Shane started to head towards the congregating groups, only to be intercepted by a giant green wing. "Oh, come on now Yowan. At least let me have a LITTLE fun while we're here." His expression of shock quickly gave way to a slightly devilish grin as he looked back at his dragon, "Besides, I think spending some time with other dragons would do you well." Yowan only responded with what could be described as a grunt before slowly retracting her wing.

As Shane approached a pair of men (Alistair and Drake), he noticed one of the dragons responding to the other person with a quick yet chilling breath. he chuckled a little as he walked up to them. "Well, that one seems to have quite the greeting there." Shane extended his hand to the other two, "Name's Shane. And this here is-" Shane turned to Yowan, and stopped mid-sentence once he realized that she was keeping an unusual distance. 'Huh? She normally isn't like this; but then again, she's been on edge ever since we got here. I wonder why.' He thought for a second before snapping to his senses. "Come on Yowan! they wont bite. He was forced to shout this out due to how far back Yowan was. After a moment's hesitation, Yowan grudgingly came up to where Shane was standing. "Heh, sorry about that. Anyways, this is Yowan." Shane scratched the back of his head sheepishly.

Juan, Obsidian

Going to there respective banner Furon was excited, looking at obsidian he said "So what do you think so far Obsidian, worth the travel?". Obsidian simply snorted, spikes and claws showing a flash of red. "Come on, not all humans are like those hunters" he said shutering at the memory. Obsidian stared at him as if saying it's not the people, its the dragons. "Well then lets meet some!".

Why are they separating us?
Calm down, Adulessa. It won't be that long. Just stay here and don't get in trouble.
What do you possibly mean?

Adulessa's voice was full of innocence, and Matthias put a hand on his face. If Adulessa were a woman, she'd be batting her eyelids.

Like the time you decided those pigs would make a good snack?
Well, they did.
And I had to give the man you took them from half my money to keep him quiet.

Matthias started walking towards the barracks, and turned around when he heard Adulessa's wings rustle.

Just stay put, or we'll both get in trouble. Please.
Oh, fine.

((Uhh, Tony, everyone is walking towards their barracks, not the banner. ))

Arcks looked over the students he'd be teaching. Some had already started to converse on the walk. Arcks looked next to him at the large silver dragon next to him, catching the sun's rays so that there was some different colors on the scales. "Salia, I hope you don't mind leading the dragons to their dens for me when you are all dismissed. I need to show them their bunks too." he said and Salia nods slightly. "Of course." she says and Arcks nods. "Good. I'm gonna get to know some of my squadmates. You should too, as you'll be helping the dragons more." he said and Salia chuckles slightly. "Yep! Not like you'll be able to imitate a dragon's movements or demonstrate." she said, playfully. Arcks laughs and nods and says, "Good then, I'll see you at base in a bit." before Salia turns around and walks back towards the courtyard.

Arcks falls back slightly so he was next to Talia, who was also looking at everyone. "Never thought your parents would let you join the dragon academy." he said and she jumped slightly then nodded. "Yeah, me too." she said, then Arcks said, "You should get to know your teammates. It'll make it easier later on if you ever need the help." he said before returning to the head of the group to lead them to their base. He went over what he was supposed to do and it brought back some memories from when he first joined.

Talia, however, looked at everyone else and then sighed. What am I thinking? There must be at least one that wants to be a friend. she thought as she approached 3 people talking (Drake, Alistair, and Shane). "You know, you shouldn't try to shove your dragon into something, try to just ease it in. It might not be as eager to help you if you try to push it into something. Well, at least that's how it worked with mine. I'm Talia." she said, next to Shane to all three of them.

Arno was back at the courtyard sitting down with his wings retracted. His scales were a icy grey with a few bits of what looks like ice, but that's just the color of his scales. Looking around at the variety of dragons, he could recognize a few species but not many. He watched Talia walk off with the rest of her group with a wave to him and he nodded at her before he looked around at the other dragons. Arno was always a bit shy and cautious, so he wouldn't approach unless he knew any of their attitudes, and so far, he noticed a few seemed to not be fans of humans at all. He just shrugged and lay down quietly(as quietly as a dragon can lay down) and watched the other dragons quietly.

The headmaster's voice rang out across the courtyard, giving clear orders. Deciding to make a good first impression, Zharnash quickly scanned the area for the red and gold banner, and upon locating it, moved swiftly over to it 'any interesting Dragons around' he whispered in his mind to khortux, but got no answer. He could only assume the dragon was already in the thick of socialising. Upon joining the banner, he quickly noted people and tried to recall the names of those in his squad, but ,mainly failed, it always took time for him to remember names. He did remember one name though, Juan, easily recognisable by the scythe he was carrying, and decided to introduce himself. After all, having friends in such places always paid off.

Shane looked at Talia as she made her way over and leaned over to Yowan "She's... kind of cute." he quietly whispered. After hearing what Talia said, Yowan decided to 'nudge' Shane; he stumbled forward a couple of steps in Talia's direction. "Really now...?" He said to Talia, once he had his balance back, "And here I thought I was helping Yowan break out of her shell, so to speak. Although, I think she might be fine right now." He looked back at Yowan for a second. "Okay okay, we're even. You happy now?" Yowan lifted her head up in triumph. Shane couldn't help but laugh a little, "Ummm... you can call me Shane. Nice to meet ya." he added, turning back to Talia.

[Prometheus]

Aeryn, Nerus's POV
Nerus was excited, he would finally meet dragons who wouldn't try to kill him on sight, or shun him, but he noticed Aeryn seemed a bit lost as he walked towards the red and gold barracks. "You alright, you seem different" he asked. "Im fine, it's just, I've never seen so many people, and they're all so, so sane!" he said, sighing. Nerus thought for a moment, Aeryn had never had a problem talking before, he'd had a problem shutting up. Then again, this was the first place where people were at least somewhat similar to him. "You'll be fine, if they don't like you cause your a nutcase, then they miss out on the fun." "Eh, you're right, Nerus, insanity is fun... He laughed as he began to walk over to a group of dragons and their partners (Shane, Talia, Drake, Alistair,) "Greetings my fellow entities, I am Aeryn the Mad, and this dragon behind me is.." "Nerus Oceanus" he said, cutting Aeryn off before his mind came up with some title for him. He sighed, "Call me Nerus. I should warn you though, that idiot who just introduced himself means it when he says he's mad." he said with a laugh. "Insane and proud of it!" Aeryn exclaimed, and laughed hysterically. Nerus just sighed again.

Juan

Looking around as he approached the banner he was assigned to he already started to miss the life of traveling he had lived for such a long time. "no, there is no chance i'm going back to that", looking around again he noted another student approaching him. Hello my name is Juan Blood scythe, and you would be?

Obsidian

Looking around his spikes and claws started to glow red. Noticing this he forced his spikes to go back to there natural black color, walking among the other dragons he decided to talk to one. Noting an unusual looking dragon (Geist) he decided to attempt to befriend him,Hello I am Obsidian Scale, a nightmare dragon, may I inquire what species of dragon you are? I have never met nor seen a dragon of your species before..

Geist's POV
Geist chuckled. "I'm a rare sub species of a rare species. The phrase 'damn this sucks' pretty much firs me. I can't find anyone who even resembles me. Well, in anycase, Name's Geist Nightstalker, resident high speed Land Wyvern. How about you?"
