A Large War of the Races Rp

#1 Post by FoxBlood »

Maldoon has known many conflicts in it's past but this brink of war is starting to become something hard to handle. With many conflicts happening on both sides of the humans and anthros galaxies war seems inevitable, but as long Maldoon and the Hurinos stand firm to make a stand against the conflicts they hope to see an end of what the Nobodians began.

Malcolm Feltcher was on the Maldoonians pride and joy flagship The Maldoon Pride. Many of wannabe pilots enied Malcolm for being its Captain even more envied his life. Born into a family of heros, becomes his own titled 'Hero of Maldoon', is married to a beutiful wife, has a wonderful daughter, and many possessions and responsiblilties that some come to think he takes for granted, but Malcolm stays calm and doesn't let himself go to pettiness. His mission today was to collect data and secure a new trade route so to help the maladoosians who were trying their hardest to stop the violence raging throughout the quadrants. Malcolm had a fresh batch of Rangers to go flying out there to do the job. One in particular an avian going by the name of Ka'el Fletcher. Jackson told him to keep a watch on him as he is a sparky one and shows promise in probably being an elite and hopefully his new apprentice, but not too likely as Malcolm works all his apprentice's to death literally. Malcolm relaxes back waiting for the call to launch and preparations to be made. Malcolm may miss the feild, but he much rather sit out then get killed and leave his family fatherless.

Ka'el was in one of the hangars, already in his flight-suit, underneath Spectre with a small torch.

What the hell is making that weird noise?

Every time Ka'el started the engines, a strange clanking happened. He couldn't be sure if it was the engine itself, or some necessary sub-system. And he didn't want to open her up, he could be sent to fly at any moment and didn't like the idea of being the last out.

Don't worry, girl. I'll fix it. Eventually.

(If this seems sonfusing, its because I went back with the Private military contractor guy over the religious dude. Sorry for the sudden change but I tried hard making a first post with the Sovereign and I cant for the life of me make a convincing Evil Messiah figure.)

Paradoxus

On the human world of Crimson Prime, a business world known to be the headquarters of many large industries and companies, a trial was underway. It seems one of the most influencial man in human space, a certain Paradoxus, was being charged with the death of a few well known free lance journalist, journalists known for being a thorn into the side of the monopoly Industries that Crimson Prime thrived on. One man, a human by the name of Ranse, also a popular freelance journalist, made a scene about all the evidence he has gathered. "Just follow the money trail! Paper documents, electronic files all point to Hex agents taking care of what they call "pests"! What more evidence do the jury need? Even Paradoxus is afraid to face these allegations in person!" Everyone seemed to mock the man, even the judge who gave him a crazy eye, but all were in shock when the doors of the court opened, Paradoxus himself walking in with a few Hex security guards. "I can speak for myself."

Walking in front of the judge, he made a small bow. "Greetings Judge Gunther, nice to meet you once again." "The honor is all mine Mr. Paradoxus! Frankly, I'm surprised you even showed up to face these allegations." "Oh, no need to be so humble Gunther and to be honest, it was a boring day in the office." Everyone started chuckling except for the accuser Ranse. Paradoxus's face began to glow as a hologram filled the room. Two documents where shown. "As you can see on your left, these documents shows easy to spot signs of being false in nature..." Several points were shown on how they were different from normal Hex documents. "Clearly, it is just another attempted case to tarnish my good name." Ranse grew angry and started shouting, not helping his case. "You can show your lies Paradoxus but the people know the truth! We all know you control the media, that the courts are controlled by you! THAT MAN WANTS NOTHING BUT WAR AND DESTRUCTION!" The Judge began to slam his little hammer, screaming order. "IF YOU CONTINUE YOU WILL BE THROWN OUT OF THE COURT ROOM MR. RANSE!"

A small laugh came from Paradoxus however as he seemed pretty calm, although he did have the perfect poker face. "Everyone just calm down." He said with a calm voice. "The man clearly has the proof for all these allegations, do you?" He extended his hand to Ranse, as if trying to help him but Ranse just stood there, mumbling. "I'm guessing he doesn't. Truly, these wild speculations are all ungrounded. Much similar to his earlier stories about the trade Confederacies "bank cartels", an obsurd conspiracy if I ever heard one. The belief that I go out in raider territory looking for amazon women seems more plausible!" Everyone laughed as it had made headlines barely a week ago about some kind of story about Paradoxus hooking up with some female raider which everyone found ridiculous. "Again, Judge Gunther, another conspiracy, another waste of your good time."

The Judge slammed his hammer. "The evidence is proven false so there isn't even a case to begin with. Case dismissed." Paradoxus made another small bow. "I'm glad that justice still prevails in this ever corrupt universe. By the way, have a good trip to Tropikaya 13. The sun is just wonderful this time of year." The Judge smiled. "Thank you Paradoxus, I hope we wont see eachother again in court." "Oh, dont worry, we will. There is always some story or conspiracy popping up here and there, all part of the job really." With that, he left, the Hex guards right behind him, passing a few police officers who were entering the court room. They went straight for Rance "Sir, your under arrest." "W-WHAT?! On what charges?!" "For falsifying evidence."

(One week later)

The news networks were abuzz about how a journalist tried to falsify evidence to try and blame Paradoxus, it was everywhere as it ridiculed the man in every possible way. "Bringing false evidence in a court of law? How low can someone go?" "Surely someone cant be that moronic! Might as well throw yourself in a jail and give the keys to the anthros!" The news network had talk shows filled with these while other, known to be paranoid networks claimed that he was framed, citing evidence of a Paradoxus/anthro alliance and how its all a conspiracy by the Durinos to enslave humanity.

All the screens surounding a massive room suddenly turned off, A large endless void of strange shape and colors remained, with a large throne like chair in the middle of it. Paradoxus was sitting in it, simply relaxing as he pressed a few holograms appearing in front of him. "So thats how the info slipped the net... clever little Rance. You were amusing while you lasted." He got up, started walking into thin air on the blue/orange colored rings when a portal like whole opened up, looking into space. Panning out, Paradoxus is actually on the Prismat, the control room/ deck of the ship as the elegant vessel flew through the stars.

(The room is actually a holodeck which is at the same time the control room. That chair controls the entire ship but only Paradoxus can use it.)

Caleb ducked out of view into an allyway. Looking around his sighed and walked on. He'd given the fool the slip for now but he had to be more careful in the future. He was a spy after and and a dam good one at that. Looking down at the metal glove on his wrist he pressed the button on it and smiled as the metal began growing and shaping over the rest of his body. Soon he was in his suit and made his way into the busy streets. Although he did not wear the main insignia for his own part he still had the military one on his left chest plate. He was on duty now patrolling the streets making sure everything was ok.

David, Emilia's POV
David sat at the captain chair on the bridge of Cycle 75. He read the latest reports and news as they moved into position for their next job. "Heh. Some idiot screwed himself over again it seems. Seems some people don't know when to quit and that accusing Paradoxus is a one way trip to death or jail." Emilia was leaning on the chair so she could look over his shoulder. "What's the news on the Wraith?" David let out a sigh at the mention of the Wraith. "Delayed again. You know, if it wasn't for the fact that he's the best at what he does, I'd hire another ship builder. Yeah, but how many ship builders with his skill level that hasn't been hired by Paradoxus do you know?" David looked up at the ceiling before standing up and dusting himself off. "Only him. Well. better get going. We've got an Anthro witness to kill." They quickly made their way to the Launch bay and within a few hours were on the Shadow. The Shadow turned on it's stealth and made it's way to a nearby Anthro planet. The pair got into drop pods and were launched. A grand total of 9 hours since the beginning of the operation later, they were on the planet, on a rooftop, in the capital city, overlooking where a speech was to take place. "So when's the witness due? In about an hour or two. She may have guards though. For pickup, I've got a Transport on standby with a few Longswords ready in case we need the cover. It'll take approximately 1 hour for them to get here once they get word. Aye, got it. Now all we've got to do is wait."

A man an a white suit sat peacefully in the captails chair on his bridge, smiling as everything seemed peaceful, for the moment. "Sir, we got a ship on radar," One of the crew said, looking at his screen some more,"Looks like Maldoonic. Don't think they've seen us yet.
"Lets keep it that way," The man, Blizz, said,"Tell all crew we're going possum and perp the fighters." The crew man nodded and repeated the man's command on the comms. The lights turned off and restarted as a dim red, the ship's engines had turn down, trying to fool the basic radar. The ship shook a little as one of the engines colling systems were rerouted, creating a 'smoke' form one of them.

(note Blizz is in the same sector/quadrant as Flecther is)

Ka'el put down his torch and looked out from under Spectre when he heard the announcement.

What the hell? I haven't done anything!

He shook his head and, before he left for the bridge, found the head engineer.

Can you find out what's making that rattling noise? It's driving me nuts.

After ten minutes, blizz got up and walked into a hidden room, so sitting down inanother chair and looking at the holo system of the ship. "Now let set the trap," He muttered, hitting a button and sending out a SoS singal to the ship.

Paradoxus

The Prismat foated freely into the void of space, its golden chess board pattern glowing into the dark void. Inside, as Paradoxus seemingly floated in his empty void, pressing a few holograms that popped up all around him, the lighting of the strange colored rings started to flash a bright yellow as the dark started to fade at the sight of a bright rising blue star (Think of the ellusive man from Mass Effect 2). "What is the meaning of this disturbence?" He said calmly. "Sorry sir. I would have forwarded it to the AI but it is deemed important enough for you to hear directly." Paradoxus got up from his chair, his hands behind his back as he stared into the bright blue sun. "What is it then?"

The man seemed to mumble on his words until he straightened out. "Another case of accusations agaisn't you from Maldoonians. From there top brass no less. Your lawyers have done the best they could, so did the "cleanup" crew but your actual presense would be a good move media wise. Forwarding all info on the case and trial." Paradoxus opened a few screens and holograms, pressing a few of them as the Prismat began to move, towards earth. "Sad little Maldoonians, trying to take me on my turf and on my terms? Not to mention public perception of these communist socialists. Step up the media on anti Anthro rhetoric. Make it look like the Maldoonians simply want to take down the best protection humanity has to offer. Make a patriotic drive for human independence agaisn't encroaching Anthro meddling. The masses will eat it up in a heart beat." "It will be done sir."

MEANWHILE, ON EARTH

The massive advertisement screens in the human cities blasted the sound waves about the latest trial agaisn't Paradoxus, so close sense the last one. "This is DDN breaking news! New charges are being laid once more agaisn't Paradoxus in a stunning move by the Anthro people known as the Maldoonians. We dont know the nature of the charges but we have brought in experts to make sense of these stunning revelations." Then, a panel of so called "experts" was shown, two humans, one Hurino and one Durino. The host named them all and all there records and titles before letting them speak. "Well, it is clear that with the recent tensions going on between the humans and the Anthros that they would try something like this." "I agree Fion. Paradoxus and the Hex Corporation is the best humanity has in national security. Its clear in my eyes that they simply want to weaken humanity as a whole." Then the Urino began to speak. "Being a Hurino. I must say that logically, this move is an attempt at weakening human sovereignty. The Hex Corporation offers the human defence forces with the best technologically advanced weaponry available. It is easily a jab at what they expect to be a weak link in human defences." All the panel seemed to be in agreement as they continued to expertly bash the Anthro governments and how they want to influence human space.

Emilia's POV
Emilia heard something come up over the communication relay. "David. They're here. They should be arriving within the hour. We should get ready." David grunted in agreement. The pair opened a pair of crates besides them. Inside was a bunch of armor pieces, their weapons, and a few explosive charges. They soon got to work, stripping to their undergarments, putting on the base layer of the power armor, and then attaching the armor modules. David put on his helmet and listened with silent delight as it made a hiss noise when the armor sealed itself. The climate control kicked in,keeping their body temperature steady. Meanwhile Emilia took out the disassembled sniper rifle and began putting it back together. "Ready? Almost." David took his shotgun and silenced pistol out of the crate and proceeded to attach them to one of several magnetic plates on his suit. He took out the explosive charges and put one on each crate. Meanwhile, Emilia finished assembling the rifle. "Ready. Excellent. All that's left is to wait."

Caleb looked up watching the news on the advertisement screens. He shook his head. "Great yet another trial. Stupid media. There to easy to control. Sighing he walked on heading into the city. Anthro governments wanting to and influence human space. Bah that would be the last thing they would need. Another all out war. Caleb would have one hell of a time in that. His com link sent him some info about the new trial and also requested he should attend to act as a guard just incase. He rolled his eyes and made his way though the streets.

Ghost, Director, Cartel

Ghost was entering the elevator to the inner core, however this elevator was leading straight into the Directors Chambers. It was a long wait, but it was peacefull; none of that cheezy music, just straight orcestra fiddling a sad song. It was calming time for him, normally he wouldn't care but due to him working for an one of the Insane Bowman Brothers, it just gives him the chills. The man can control what goes in and out of trade ports, able to control your own bank account, able to terraform planets without a security clearance, even ones with Setient inhabbitance on it. It would be just as chilling to work for Mr. Paradoxus of the Hex Corp, the man can litterally control the people with his media. He remembered one court case against Mr. Paradoxus about the selling of weaponry to Smugglers, Dealing with Rouge scientist, even supporting the Raiders, sometimes he even does illegal experimentation. The Trade Confederacy stood for the Hex Corp, stating that they control the traffic of space and they would not of allowed those to do such things. Hex Corp won that day, but we know it wasn't true, the Trade Confederacy was allowing all Hex Corp ships to freely move as they please, even to the point without taxation. He would have felt more easy working for a Genocidal Maniac bent on Galactic Domination with military power, becuase then the playing field is much more fair then the ones Hex Corp and the Trade Confederacy, media and money. He sighed, the pay is the only thing keeping him from making this place a junkyard.

The Elevator stopped and he entered a room filled all sorts of antique from Earth, a rare terracotta soldier, one of the last trees from the Taiga forrest, paintings from the 1600s, ect. He looked around to see another room. There were two increadibly large tvs, one was about Mr. Paradoxus's decision about the Anthros the other was for another antique, this was a Durino Antique that was used to help propell them to the skies, no-longer able to use due to its age and outdatedness. Mr. Bowman just continued to press a red button that continue to raise his bid. Theodore was paying more attention to the Media, "It is so hard to find the real information about you Mr. Paradoxus, you make the Media so well tune for you. I place 30 million credits for the Item." The Item raised to 30 million in favor of the Director. "It seems silly though, that Anthros would try and charge against the Voice of the Galaxy." by voice he ment that he controls how people will think and react to this situation. "Of course, a change in luck Mr. Paradoxus, but for the worse...or for the better?" The Media channel changed from that to the showing of one of the Cartels, a rather old Posh looking fellow with an atractive young woman. "Director, Mr. Rense and other Conspiricy theorist have had their accounts empty and destroyed and their clearance taken away, their property have also been convicted. The charges were bringing false evidence to the Court of Law thus needing to pay for wasting the court's time, Lying under law, thus not trustworthy enough to have a clearance, and not able to pay for housing, thus conviction of house." The Director Smirked, "I told them not to mess with the ones who controls money, and now they will live on the street once they have done their time." you can see the director's Cigar bounce up and down over his shadowed face. "Mr. Pontell, make a meeting with me and the other Cartels, we have buisness to attend to." The Posh man nodded and the screen turned to black, leaving the other one the only remain tv about the item.

The Director turned around, the shadow covers up most of his face while his lenses give off a glare, the cigar is what gives light to his face, but not much. "Mr. Durntoff...." But before he could continue Ghost interupted with a sharp tongue. "Its Ghost, sir!" the director stayed amused, "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me, just as mine is safe with you." The chills run through Ghost's body. "what do you want me for sir?" Ghost had to ask. "It must be obvoius, to start a war. I need two political figure heads dead, one anthro the other human, just like the assassination of ArchDuke Ferdinan that started World War One." Ghost shrugged, "Never heard of such war, nor of such people." The Director Shrugged at the ingorance of people and just smiled. "Not many people have heard of such story, it was quite a long time ago back when the closet thing we came to space was a plane that soared acrossed the sky." He said, diverting the conversation. "But your not here to listen to me talk history, your here to kill, and I will give you that prey. Your first target is a Maldoonian political figure head, if killed, this will raise more and more tensions with the anthros, make it seem more of an extremist attack at the anthros then an actual assassination. I will give you the details when you reach the planet." Ghost sighed, finally a person to kill, Ghost had to push it though, killing a political figurehead in such a manner and for such reasons must raise his salary. "It isn't going to be cheep though." Theodore knew exactly what he ment, but reponded in a different manner. "Neither will this object." It showed the price of the bid for the Durino object, at the price of 500 million credits. Theodore did nothing but laughed as Ghost began to leave.

When the ship lands, Dom is already at the door and steps out, pistol drawn, as the ramp descend. He makes his way out of the landing bay after finding it clear. Once outside he sees the transport waiting for them, inside of the line of guards holding back a mob of humans. He heads back to the ship as the others exit, where he stands at attention "The area appears secure and the transport is waiting outside." Dom turns sharply, taking point as the group makes their way outside.

Ghost finally got away from the damned place, able to breathe air on the surface of the core; however it wasn't the air, because of his mask, it was the atmosphere, a different tune, something that didn't give him the chills. He headed for the shipyard in which laid "The Predator." His Spectre was stationed within the battleship, waiting for Ghost's return. Captian Kilhoffer waited for ghost to appear, ghost recognized him and they both, saluted to each other. "Another Assassination, brother?" ghost gave a nod, “Yes brother, we will have to kill a Maldoonian political leader on a Maladoosian world.” Kilhoffer was shocked, “We’re going to start a war?” Ghost repeated his nod. “Doesn’t matter, we will get paid extra for this kill and we will be needed during the war. Now instead of killing people Theodore wants dead for his own political use, we can finally be used for what we have always been needed for.” Kilhoffer was finally persuaded to accept the mission, starting wars means more money for them, and who doesn’t like money?

They started up “the Predator” for launch from the core. The Ship Began to sway from platforms that merchants, buyers, stock collectors/buyers/sellers, AA guns and the orbital strike guns. After completing the maze, they exited the Atmosphere of the Galactic Trade Center, and started to go slip-space to their destination. Their heading was of course is one of the Maladoosian worlds for a specific maldoonian Political figurehead. Ghost has just read the information on the hunt, but it displays neither gender nor name, just a picture of the face. “This isn’t good; I think The Director wants me to break my own Restrictions.” Kilhoffer just shrugged it off. “It is ok, I bet that they have limited knowledge, just that he is Special.” Ghost had to deny that statement. “No Knowledge of name or gender, but they have a picture?” Kilhoffer just had to keep it from Ghost’s mind. “Look, just think of the money when you see the target, think of the opportunities.” Ghost sighed, knowing that if he doesn’t perform this action, the job offerings will be limited and his pay will decrease.
The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
