He's trying to negotiate a peacable end to the hostilities. That doesn't mean they aren't at war. You know, with the phrase "full-scale invasion" it's probably not just a border raid.

You're right, there hasn't been a big push back on the part of the humans, but, then again, they're still defending themselves. Right now, defense is more important than offense.

From what I remember prejudice and animosity against Keidran are quite common among humans, so war is merely the logical consequence.

Not just amongst humans, Basitan's seem to have a "Savages" view of the Keidran as well. Just look at how Keith reacted early on when he met Trace w/ Flora. Calls her a monster and evil because of her race (Since we see how he handles Laura though, it may be her specific Keidran sub-species). Keith also is known to be relatively progressive compared to other Basitans.

Keidran just keep getting the shaft when it comes to the relations department.

Well, Keith's attitude towards Flora in the early comics resulted more out of fear she could imperil Keith's mission of capturing Trace and his sad experiences with Laura. But Alabaster demonstrated quite rancor against Keidran (through their "promiscuous living"). So yes, Basitin likely don't have much love to give towards Keidran (except Keith).

One Templar control, Village near the border, which would have had been attacked by keidran raiders in the past, does not make the entire human race chaotic evil
