List of Lore

#1 Post by BadFoMo »

Not everything I have, but here is what I've compiled so far.
On 12-26-14, people in the IRC wrote:(1:29:23 PM) ***Invalid noms his delicious chocolate covered pretzel stick

(1:29:43 PM) Vallis: I read that as "chocolate-covered steak"
(1:29:45 PM) Vallis: I started gagging
(1:30:03 PM) ***Siergiej steaks Vallis
(1:30:04 PM) Invalid: I wonder if Keidrans would eat that?
(1:30:19 PM) Vallis: Probably would
(1:30:25 PM) ***Vallis counter-steaks Siergiej
(1:31:00 PM) Smalle: Canine Keidra would get sick.
(1:31:05 PM) Smalle: Keidran*

(1:44:17 PM) Tom: Actually no, Canine Keidran could probably handle chocolate alright. Chocolate's toxicity is largely a matter of mass. They're a lot bigger than a normal dog, it would take a lot more to make them sick.
(1:45:47 PM) Invalid: well. Do felines get sick from chocolate?
(1:46:22 PM) Smalle: Flora got sick after eating bread...
(1:46:38 PM) Schrodinger: Invalid: Yes, cats will get sick if they consume chocolate
(1:46:43 PM) Invalid: good point
(1:46:52 PM) Smalle: To be honest, so do I.
(1:47:09 PM) Invalid: okay. so chocolate covered steaks are probably not the most wonderful thing to feed your keidran
(1:47:18 PM) Schrodinger: Still no

(1:47:37 PM) Tom: Flora got sick because she ate a LOT of bread. Starchy foods don't agree with Keidran. A lot of breads, a lot of vegitable, a lot of anything like that will cause problems.
(1:47:41 PM) Smalle: Defiantly an acquired taste.
(1:47:42 PM) Tom: Small amounts are okay.
(1:47:49 PM) Schrodinger: ^
(1:48:10 PM) Smalle: Okay I see.
(1:48:59 PM) Tom: Keidran can actually eat most fruits and be okay, as long as it's not ALL they eat.
(1:49:22 PM) Invalid: do they like fruit?

(1:50:43 PM) Tom: Sure! Their tastes ARE different than humans, though. Meat for a Keidran is what they crave like candy.

(1:51:31 PM) Invalid: lucky for them. if Humans eat only candy they will probably die :l

(1:52:01 PM) Smalle: You know I'd really love to learn more about Kiedran more so that's referenced in the comic.
(1:52:10 PM) Invalid: ^
People in the IRC wrote:(5:05:02 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Mr Tom: Can I find somewhere a refreshed Twokinds logo from last vote image?

(5:07:57 PM) Tom: Hm, it's not on my new computer

(5:08:21 PM) Stumblinbear: hey, i made a thingie
(5:08:23 PM) Stumblinbear: https://sketch.io/render/sketch54b8386cd3559.png
(5:08:38 PM) Stumblinbear: Flora the klepto decided to permanently get rid of Trace's clothes.

(5:09:22 PM) Tom: Nice work. Poor clothes though. Templar really do have the best fabrics.
(5:09:41 PM) Stumblinbear: I bet they do xD

(5:12:09 PM) Tom: (Actually, the best fabrics come from the cat clans, but the Templar import them. All their clothes have tags that say "Made in Catna"
(5:12:11 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Thank you mr. Tom
(1:48:30 PM) amenon: Here's a minor thing for you. Zen and Natani had the keidran brackets for their telepathy on 839 (which was probably a first), but not on this page.
(1:50:30 PM) Tom: Heh....
(1:50:34 PM) Tom: Oh well.
(1:50:50 PM) amenon: That's about my feeling on the subject.
(1:50:53 PM) Tom: For some reason I always mix them up.
(1:50:59 PM) Tom: No matter what I do, I can't remember.
(1:51:20 PM) Tom: I should be more consistant but it's too late now.
(1:51:46 PM) Tom: I wish the reader could just assume they are speaking in their respective languages.
(1:52:29 PM) amenon: You kind of accidentally answered a question about the nature of telepathy that nobody's asked, as far as I know.
(1:52:34 PM) Baudela6 [BaudelaireG@Nightstar-dp0bhj.adsl.tpnet.pl] entered the room.
(1:52:44 PM) amenon: Well, you do need to stay honest with respect to language barriers.
(1:52:49 PM) Tom: Anyweay, I don't normally put brackets in their thoughts because thoughts don't work liek that.
(1:52:58 PM) amenon: See, that's the opposite answer!
(1:52:59 PM) Tom: They're just thoughts.
(1:53:18 PM) Tom: That's why I've never put brackets in there before. That one time was just a mistake.
(1:53:23 PM) amenon: That's what I would'a figured, but then I saw the brackets and went 'hmm'.
(1:53:54 PM) Tom: So you assume the one time it happened is an indication rather than all the other times when they weren't.
(1:54:30 PM) amenon: Well, it was a mixed language page and I'm not sure there have been others.
(1:54:42 PM) amenon: And it's easier to forget something than put it in accidentally.
(1:54:44 PM) Tom: Well you have the answer.
(1:55:18 PM) amenon: Hehehe
(1:55:26 PM) ***amenon files under 'answers to questions that were never asked'
(1:56:01 PM) Tom: You did. You brought it up!
(1:56:27 PM) amenon: But I thought it had been answered!
(1:56:31 PM) Tom: How so?
(1:56:35 PM) neko2k: everything is confusing
(1:57:13 PM) amenon: That is, I took 839 to indicate that telepathic communication is basically speech-like.
(1:57:17 PM) Bellhead [Bell@Nightstar-bln.46r.63.129.IP] entered the room.
(1:57:39 PM) Tom: Well it's not. I just didn't think about it at the time.
(1:57:47 PM) Tom: It doesn't matter, one way or another.
(1:57:55 PM) Bellhead: What doesn't?
(1:59:06 PM) Kamaro [Kamaro@Nightstar-dfmqqm.or.comcast.net] entered the room.
(1:59:24 PM) amenon: The precise nature of telepathic communication.
(2:00:18 PM) Bellhead: Ah.
(2:00:33 PM) Bellhead: I can see how that could have a large grey area.
(2:01:09 PM) Tom: There's never going to be a situation where people can't understand each others thoughts, it's a pure communication of intent.
(2:01:54 PM) amenon: Come to think of it, the correct answer would have been reached because of Mary and Rose.
(2:02:04 PM) Bellhead: As in language doesn't matter, only the way said people think?
(2:04:30 PM) Tom: Nora never speaks at all, but her communications are understood.
(2:06:11 PM) Bellhead: I wondered about that early on. So like, if she communicated to one person privately, would those around said person only hear what that person said?
(2:06:35 PM) Bellhead: Or would they communicate solely through thought?
(2:08:37 PM) Tom: Her "voice" is projected. She can talk to a room of people and be understood by everyone, or just a single person.
(2:09:20 PM) Baudela6: Hello mr Tom.
(2:09:23 PM) Baudela6: Hello all
(2:09:26 PM) Baudela6 is now known as BaudelaireGaudi
(2:09:34 PM) ***amenon assumes a look of complete innocence
(2:09:49 PM) Tom: Hi
(2:10:25 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Mr. Tom. What do you think about cloth swap between Trace and Dust? (next idea from [censored]).
(2:11:18 PM) Bellhead: I understand that. What I was wondering is if she talked to a single person, would people around said person think they were talking to nobody, or does she have private conversations solely on the mental plane?
(2:11:59 PM) Tom: It would be like a one-sided conversation.
(2:12:24 PM) Turaiel[Offline] left the room (quit: Ping timeout: 121 seconds).
(2:12:25 PM) Bellhead: Ah. That could get awkward.
(2:12:47 PM) Tom: She usually projects her thoughts though, unless she has a reason not to.
(2:12:54 PM) Tom: So others would hear her as well.
(2:15:58 PM) Tom: She speaks this way because her dragon vocal cords can't form human words. She could theoretically transform her vocal cords, but it does not sound very lady-like, so she would rather not.
(2:17:17 PM) Bellhead: Makes sense.
(2:17:21 PM) amenon: Is there a spoken dragonese, or is it all mind to mind?
(2:17:30 PM) Tom: Her dragon voice is very, very deep and masculine-sounding. And tends to throw things around.
(2:17:52 PM) Tom: Yes there probably is a dragon language, though it isn't something I've given much thought.
(2:19:59 PM) Tom: Thoughts are probably the prefered way. I'd imagine a dragon language would sound rather primal and beastly. A lot of hissing and screeching.
(2:21:27 PM) Siergiej: I thought it might be more skyrim like >.>
On April 17, 2016, certain users in the IRC wrote:(1:30:29 PM) Foxpie: since you're hear tom, can i ask something that i was thinking about in me sleep. are there albino keidran/basitin
(1:30:39 PM) Foxpie: also hello

(1:32:44 PM) Tom: I'm sure there probably are.
(1:32:49 PM) Tom: Actually, that would be pretty neat.
(1:33:34 PM) Foxpie: ty
(1:35:50 PM) w0lfmare: I imagine that means there are melanistic ones too. Equally neat ^^

(1:37:07 PM) krzychukoko: Tom: hello - can you tell me something about keidran cuisine?

(1:37:26 PM) Cornelius: krzychukoko: meat

(1:37:50 PM) Ketzal: ALL the meat
(1:37:52 PM) krzychukoko: Cornelius: i know they are carnivore but i am just curious if they eat meat mostly raw or cooked, or do they use any kind of spices
(1:37:54 PM) Tom: They eat food.
(1:38:39 PM) krzychukoko: can't argue with that

(1:47:42 PM) Tom: Keidran have a lot more meals that involve raw meats, especially in the wilds where everyone does their own hunting. Keidran know most humans cannot stomach it, and will intentionally serve raw food if they want to be insulting.
(1:49:36 PM) Ketzal: what a dick move
(1:53:01 PM) Tom: Though in the cities, where not all wolves hunt their own food, they've started adopting cooked meats out of necessity. So, at least in wolf society, the culture is shifting.

(1:54:35 PM) Ketzal: ...I'm suddenly thinking of a hipster wolf who goes vegetarian for some reason XD

(1:56:04 PM) Foe: Tom, what about breakfast? cooked egg and steak?

(1:58:05 PM) Tom: I wouldn't know.
(1:58:36 PM) Foe: what about second breakfast?
(1:58:52 PM) Ketzal: what about brunch? snacks? do they have dinner before or after the sun goes down? why is the sky blue? Was the moon landing really faked?
(1:58:53 PM) ***Saphire flops onto lore
(1:59:31 PM) Tom: Tigers are widely refered to as "man-eaters". But there's no historical evidence of a tiger keidran ever eating a human. Because tigers don't leave witnesses.
(1:59:49 PM) Foe: but where do the stories come from?
(2:00:09 PM) Tom: The tigers.
(2:00:14 PM) Ketzal: XD
On 5-4-2016, People in the IRC wrote:(4:46:03 PM) Tom: amenon: The thing blowing up is the belltower from the first panel of this page: http://twokinds.keenspot.com/archive.php?p=905
(4:46:05 PM) alaric: Title: Archive - Twokinds (at twokinds.keenspot.com)

(4:46:17 PM) Ketzal: not the bell tower!
(4:46:21 PM) Ketzal: poor quasimodo

(4:46:41 PM) Tom: I thought about giving it a "bong!" sound effect as it was blowing up, but figured that might be a bit silly.
(4:46:58 PM) Ketzal: XD
(4:47:12 PM) Ketzal: maybe if you have a shot of it hitting the ground

(4:47:57 PM) amenon: It IS the belltower? Ahahaha XD But yeah, it would have needed some bong in it for me to make the guess :D

(4:49:42 PM) w0lfmare: That would have been too sad Tom ;_;
(4:49:52 PM) w0lfmare: Poor bell tower
(4:50:23 PM) amenon: Tom: Mind if I edit that into my post? It's too funny to almost make the right call like that.

(4:51:53 PM) amenon: (And by 'that' I mean your two lines just now)

(4:53:44 PM) Tom: amenon: sure
(4:54:04 PM) Tom: It's hard to tell from the perspectiv here, but the Templar tower is really big. REALLY big.
(4:56:24 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Inspired by Babel Tower?
(4:56:59 PM) amenon: It does come across as a lot larger than the statue, though I'd guess less than twice as high.
(4:58:33 PM) amenon: Though if it's farther than I think... hard to say.
(4:59:39 PM) amenon: I do feel like it's IN the city, though, and that the city isn't huge.
(4:59:50 PM) Tom: It's actually pretty far away

(5:06:42 PM) amenon: I've probably been assuming that it's mana tower sized, and I don't think any of them have seemed really big. And of course the last one we saw was the basitin one, which was pretty tiny.

(5:07:30 PM) amenon: Now that I look, the earlier ones do seem pretty big.

(5:25:24 PM) Tom: amenon: here's a very rough map of Edinmire I just sketched up real quick: http://twokindscomic.com/images/mapofedinmire.png
(5:26:05 PM) amenon: Okay, that's a very big tower :D
(5:26:06 PM) Ketzal: oh [censored], I forgot about the tavern for some reason
(5:26:54 PM) amenon: City is at least three, four times bigger than I would have guessed.
(5:27:28 PM) Ketzal: I'm trying to remember, is maeve still with Trace and Flora?
(5:27:38 PM) amenon: She disappeared.
(5:28:03 PM) amenon: (As in, we don't really know)
(5:28:35 PM) Tom: It's hard to draw a whole city into the background, which is why it tends to look smaller in the comic ^^;
(5:28:55 PM) Tom: Like a video game, you sometimes just have to use your imaginating a little. xD;
(5:29:44 PM) amenon: It's not that, it's just making assumptions, like that the walled off section is pretty small and so on so forth. Sometimes those assumptions are bad :P
(5:30:26 PM) amenon: It's a neat map. I hope you're going to post it somewhere!
(5:31:47 PM) Tom: Hmm...
(5:31:58 PM) Tom: I mean, I guess I could. I just made it as an illustration.
(5:32:09 PM) amenon: Yes, and it's very illustrative :P
(5:33:06 PM) Ketzal: Tom, just do what Silent Hill did and put fog everywhere :P
(5:33:58 PM) Tom: Well I can use smoke now
(5:34:54 PM) Siergiej: lol, now is a good excuse to put more smoke
(5:38:39 PM) Ketzal: perfect

(5:43:41 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: So, Edinmire is still bigger than Liebenhain
(5:46:35 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: A lot bigger
On 5-20-2016, in the IRC, BaudelaireGaudi, Tom, Cornelius & krzychukoko wrote:(2:55:13 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Also, Tom. I'm thinking about placing town from my Sims 2 mod on map of Mekkan (only north part). So, which lake on north is placed in valley?
(2:55:42 PM) Tom: How north?
(2:56:22 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Place, where winter tooks a half year.
(2:56:28 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: and no summer.
(2:56:36 PM) Cornelius: Canada?
(2:56:54 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Mekkan, not America
(2:57:51 PM) Tom: I mean, some of the lakes around the Great Lake are in valleys. They border on the wintery region.
(2:58:14 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Somewhere close to Northern Tundra.
(2:58:34 PM) Tom: Well the tundra is pretty flat.
(2:58:58 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Duh. Google after typing "Mekkan map" shows... Saudi Arabia map with Mecca.
(3:01:02 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Tom: http://i.imgur.com/CpDYRV7.png and http://i.imgur.com/cHcAhXj.png - Village in valley
(3:01:47 PM) Tom: The only real choice if you want lakes near the Northern Tundra is Waterhold.
(3:03:18 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: I think, the best place will be forest near Lug Pond and Snowfield island.
(3:03:50 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: About 2nd town, Which name would be good? Duemilanove, Karpatia or something?
(3:04:02 PM) Tom: Though the map is pretty vague. There's inevitably going to be plenty of unmarked tiny lakes and towns.
(3:04:19 PM) Tom: Well, that's up to you. xD I dunno.
(3:08:40 PM) Tom: The Northern Tundra was once home to the snow leopards and a varient of keidran that's now thought to be extinct. So there's a lot of old adopted keidran names for locations and ruins.
(3:09:42 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: In Liebenhain exists some white wolves and some other keidrans.
(3:10:48 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: http://i.imgur.com/3QnU4gj.jpg - when it's ready, I want to send you a box with game (1 of 3) in box with Polish sweets.
(3:11:31 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Duh. Snow wolves, not white wolves.
(3:13:47 PM) Tom: Heh eh same thing.
(3:14:20 PM) Tom: Wow, nice case.
(3:14:42 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: I'm thinking about changes
(3:16:11 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: It's not looking like Sims 2 EP's box. Sample: http://www.simsnetwork.com/sites/simsne ... k=amAZ-xyO
(3:20:19 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Tom: Also, cover of DVD will be made via LightScribe.
(3:22:09 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Tom: http://i.imgur.com/IasYxuN.png - :P
(3:22:28 PM) Tom: Heheh
(3:22:56 PM) Tom: Looks good.
(3:24:24 PM) krzychukoko: Tom: for me that looks creepy :P
(3:26:26 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Who? Tom? Yyyyy... Willy?
(3:29:54 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: krzychukoko: http://i.imgur.com/tZhY75c.png - really?

(3:30:44 PM) krzychukoko: BaudelaireGaudi: wow you managed to put digitigrade legs there? good job
(3:30:49 PM) krzychukoko: still the faces are kinda freaky :P
(3:31:38 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: krzychukoko: It's made by BeosBoxBoy from Insimenator.
(3:31:47 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: I mean, body.
(3:32:15 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Face morphs is from modthesims
(3:33:16 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Tom: Did you still have new TwoKinds logo. I lost my copy after my Macbook's failure.

(3:38:03 PM) Tom: http://twokindscomic.com/images/tklogo_black.png
(3:42:51 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: Thank you so much :)
On 6-27-2016, people in the IRC wrote:(3:07:09 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: i had lucid dream today.....basically i started slowly waking up and iwasted the whole dream focusing on trying to keep myself asleep...that went on for some time but i finally woke up afterall
(3:08:25 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: so it was kinda pointless....but it's motivation for me - i've never had 3 LDs in 2 months before
(3:08:30 PM) w0lfmare: Hate that, that's how most my lucid dreams are
(3:08:34 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: so there is some hope
(3:16:11 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: but when the time comes......when i wll finally learn how to get lots of lucid dreams.......all the data about keidran body will be there(eg. in my head)... waiting....
(3:17:32 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: Tom feel free to share info about any keidran positive traits or weaknesses that are not indicated in comic if you want.
(3:18:01 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: (damn i hate writing from tablet....)
(3:20:07 PM) asellus: o.o
(3:21:01 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: on the other hand infos about weaknesses may not be such a good idea cuz my subconciousness may use that info against me.....
(3:21:17 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: but whatever - the more data the better
(3:24:18 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: assellus - wut?

(3:31:37 PM) w0lfmare: Apparently keidran "can't see as far, but see clearly in the dark"
(3:33:01 PM) Idward: Darkvision out to 60 feet
(3:33:03 PM) Idward: makes sense
(3:44:33 PM) Tom: Keidran can sprint much faster than a human in the short run, but are easily out-matched in a marathon. Human are all-around better swimmers. Keidran have a weaker grip, so are less capable sword fighters, but have stronger legs. Keidran rely more heavily on DEX than STR, on average.
(3:46:37 PM) Tom: Of course, this all depends on the keidran. Wolves are much bigger than foxes, etc.
(3:55:16 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: wow thats quite a lot of info - many thanks tom
(3:56:05 PM) Kindamoody: Where's the info on basitins? :/
(3:56:17 PM) Tom: The basitins are the best at everything.
(3:56:24 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: also - "much faster in short run but easily run out in marathon" - so basically same asregular real tigers
(3:56:37 PM) Kindamoody: Tom, now you're just lazy.
(3:56:55 PM) Tom: They can even outperform... a dragon.
(3:57:03 PM) Kindamoody: >_<
(3:57:34 PM) Kindamoody: What about, let's say, their night vision? :|
(3:57:49 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: i'm not planning to transform into basitin in LD's for now so i don't need info about basitins
(3:57:57 PM) Kindamoody: Hush.
(3:58:05 PM) Tom: Like daylight. They can see in perfect darkness.
(3:58:08 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: heheh
(3:58:41 PM) Kindamoody: Ok, I give up. Nobody needs to know and Tom is too lazy to say anything he put any thought into. :P
(3:58:56 PM) Tom: During the day, they can view through the fabric of the universe.
(4:00:34 PM) Tamer: Yes, good.
(4:07:54 PM) Tom: But seriously, I don't have specifics on basitins.
(4:08:38 PM) Tamer: They have +1 to soft ears.
(4:09:50 PM) Tamer: http://twokinds.keenspot.com/archive.php?p=463
(4:10:07 PM) Kindamoody: Tom, it's fine, I was just teasing.

(4:12:46 PM) amenon: Tamer: +2 at least, surely.
(4:15:12 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: basitins are the mystery heh

(4:33:21 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: sierg you missed talk about keidran traits
(4:37:57 PM) Ketzal: apparently keidran are better at being rogues :V
On 6-28-2016, people in the IRC wrote:(2:51:58 PM) BadFoMo: [joke]Hey, Tommy, got any lore on Humans?[\joke]

(2:52:54 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: badfomo - is that a joke about yesterday?
(2:53:43 PM) BadFoMo: krzychukoko-tablet: Half and half.

(3:08:53 PM) Tom: Humans are second longest living sapient race in Twokinds, with an average lifespan of 225 years. Unlike keidran, humans only average one child per birth. Despite having the largest civilation by far, the population is less dense and not much larger than canids and felines combined.
(3:11:21 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: wooo 225 years
(3:14:01 PM) Tom: Blue is the most common human hair color.
(3:14:37 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: But, how tall Basitins can be?
(3:15:16 PM) amenon: King-sized!
(3:19:43 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: 225 years? wut? how?
(3:20:04 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: oh...he's just joking nvm
(3:20:22 PM) amenon: I think either a) that was supposed to be seasons or b) he's been replaced by a markov chain generator
(3:28:55 PM) Tom: hehe
(3:29:26 PM) Tom: I'm joking about the age, everything else is accurate.
(3:30:09 PM) krzychukoko-tablet: not so sure about hair colour ;p
(3:31:19 PM) amenon: Keidrans having average litter size > 1 is weird because nipple math. But then, it's just an assumption that there are only two nipples... and biology need not apply anyway.
(3:34:55 PM) Ketzal: keidran have no nipples. They hatch out of eggs :V

(3:35:54 PM) Allu: Maybe all keidrans are secretly dinosaurs

(3:42:28 PM) BadFoMo: Oh! What if Dinosaur Keidran (or Beast Folk) are TwoKinds version of our Mole People?

(3:52:27 PM) ThatOneRoadie: We all know that the longest-lived race in the twokinds universe is the tortoise keidran
(3:52:36 PM) ThatOneRoadie: with an average age of 9001 years
(3:53:12 PM) ThatOneRoadie: though Anthropologists have tried to get an average age of death for Basitin, but the subjects keep killing each other before an average can be attained.

(3:09:11 PM) krzychukoko: this is created by neural networks?
(3:09:14 PM) krzychukoko: how advanced ones?
(3:09:19 PM) Turaiel: 12/10
(3:09:21 PM) Tom: Here's the jist of magic: it's a fundimental force in the world of Twokinds. Anyone can use it, but to do any more than light a candle, it needs to be concenstrated. Humans can do it naturally, and like building muscle, the more they push themselves the larger a reservoir they have to work with.
(3:09:37 PM) Tec: Varying levels. Some are completely gibberish.
(3:10:10 PM) krzychukoko: Tom: have you been talking about some lore and i just missed it? dammit
(3:10:21 PM) Turaiel: You didn't miss anything
(3:10:31 PM) Turaiel: Ketzal just asked how magic worked. This was the answer.
(3:10:41 PM) krzychukoko: Tec: from what i heard the best we can do i simulate 1% of human brain where simulating 10 seconds of it takes few hours to process....
(3:10:43 PM) Tom: But like muscle, some people are more naturally gifted at building up their magic than others. And Keidran have no reservoir at all. So those humans and keidran supplement with pre-compressed magic: mana crystals.
(3:11:19 PM) krzychukoko: Tom: hey - i got question - are mana crystals in TK universe inspired by soul gems from TES series?
(3:11:39 PM) Tec: That's not really what a neural network does. >.> I mean, technically, at a high, abstract level, it's a simple model of neurons, but it's not meant to simulate human processes.
(3:11:50 PM) w0lfmare: Tom: Mana crystals. Are those like, a type of mineral that absorbs magic?
(3:12:10 PM) Tec: w0lfmare: I'm just picturing them as basically fruit gushers.
(3:12:44 PM) krzychukoko: Tec: "from what i heard" = "gonna say some [censored] i can't be blamed for" ;P
(3:12:50 PM) w0lfmare: No snack packs that much punch
(3:12:53 PM) Ketzal: XD
(3:13:11 PM) Ketzal: thanks for the answer tom
(3:13:32 PM) Tom: They were inspired by rock candy. Large amounts of magic consentrated creates crystals.
(3:13:49 PM) Turaiel: Haha
(3:13:57 PM) Turaiel: Rock candy is basically magic
(3:14:02 PM) Ketzal: okay, so humans can build up magic in their system by practicing it
(3:14:13 PM) Tec: Turaiel: What does that make Pop Rocks?
(3:14:23 PM) Ketzal: some are more potent with it than others, and the less talented and keidrans need to use crystals
(3:14:23 PM) Turaiel: Witchcraft
(3:14:53 PM) Tom: Mana crystals in Twokinds usually come from one source: dragons. Whereever any dragon sleeps, the crystals grow, being drawn to them like a gravity well.
(3:15:07 PM) Ketzal: in that case, it sounds like what Raine has is a magical form of Tourette's syndrome
(3:15:15 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: ;_;
(3:15:17 PM) Ketzal: ...well, maybe not exactly
(3:15:42 PM) Ketzal: oh, I thought the crystals came from the land
(3:16:01 PM) Turaiel: Raine has a curse >.>
(3:16:33 PM) amenon: Raine has what Euchre has.
(3:17:14 PM) Ketzal_ [Ketzal@Nightstar-vs6a0u.or.comcast.net] entered the room.
(3:18:02 PM) w0lfmare: So does that mean humans could use their reservoir to create mana crystals if there were enough of them?
(3:18:08 PM) Tom: Sure mana crystals also form naturally over time, but like oil, you just kinda have to hope to find it. It's a lot more reliable to just ask a dragon for some.
(3:18:24 PM) Ketzal_: Interesting
(3:19:20 PM) amenon: Or be like the Templar and build a big honking concentration system. Unless those crystals are natural, I guess? Chicken and egg situation.
(3:19:48 PM) Tom: Dragon's make crystals a lot faster than the 'natural' way.
(3:20:09 PM) amenon: It's going to turn out to be poop, isn't it.
(3:20:20 PM) Ketzal_: XD
(3:20:24 PM) Neutral_Smith: I see what the templar have done as a form of a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breeder_reactor
(3:20:25 PM) alaric: Title: Breeder reactor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (at en.wikipedia.org)
(3:20:31 PM) Tom: Crystal 'farming' isn't really possible, because crystals leach magic from the air. So the more crystals you have, the LESS concentration of magic there is.
(3:20:44 PM) Ketzal_: Ah
(3:20:45 PM) Neutral_Smith: ... or not.
(3:21:18 PM) Ketzal_: I always imagined magic being something that was in the ground in the 2k verse for some reason
(3:21:31 PM) amenon: The assassin fight.
(3:22:54 PM) Tom: When the tower exploded on the Basitin island, it was going through a meltdown of sorts. It burned up all the magic around it, like a fire consuming the oxygen. That's what hurt Nora, since dragon's are being of magic.
(3:25:19 PM) Ketzal_: So the nullifier cuffs, do they work the same way? By sucking out the magic of the wearer?
(3:26:03 PM) Ketzal_: Sorry if I'm bugging you with all the questions, I just love this worldbuilding stuff
(3:26:07 PM) Tom: Well like I said, I never came up with the exact mechanics for how the cuffs worked.
(3:26:37 PM) Ketzal_: Ah
(3:26:49 PM) amenon: In a manner that gives the observed effects :p
(3:27:36 PM) Tom: There's probably multiple ways you could get the same result of nullifying magic.
(3:28:22 PM) Tom: You could probably program the cufflink to use whatever magic it's linked to and cast a very inefficient spell, like concentrating energy into matter.
(3:28:27 PM) Chords [Some_Chords@Nightstar-e89id1.fios.verizon.net] entered the room.
(3:30:36 PM) Tom: A lot of magic 'skill' in Twokinds is not about power, but effeciency.
(3:31:45 PM) Tom: For example, an unskilled mage could enchant an amulet to cast light. But the light might only lasts 2 minutes. But if you were skilled and spent hours enchanting it, you could make the light last days, or even use less magic than it's gaining back from the ambiant magic and last indefinitely.
(3:32:13 PM) Ketzal_: Or maybe even produce "white noise" by drawing magic from the user to counter whatever spell is in effect
(3:32:19 PM) Foe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TqfBEX6QtE
(3:34:30 PM) Tom: Heheh
(3:36:08 PM) krzychukoko: Tom: hmm.....so the mana crystals would be pretty damn expensive if they are soo rare right?
(3:36:20 PM) krzychukoko: also how do those templar towers "mining" mana work?
(3:36:43 PM) Neutral_Smith left the room (quit: [NS] Quit: Commencing snoring in ...3 ...2 ...1).
(3:37:18 PM) ***Tec is still mentally picturing these crystals as fruit gushers and it makes everything so much better.
(3:37:22 PM) Tom: The towers don't mine. If you're talking about the old sketch, it's not canon anymore.
(3:37:50 PM) krzychukoko: oh ok so what they do?
(3:37:55 PM) Foe: Dragons can genderbend anyone they wish
(3:38:00 PM) krzychukoko: still - what's the market behind mana crystals?
(3:38:08 PM) Ketzal_ left the room (quit: [NS] Quit: Bye).
(3:38:22 PM) krzychukoko: cuz i don't belife dragons are just selling them left and right aye?
(3:38:39 PM) Ketzal: why wouldn't they?
(3:39:20 PM) Ketzal: from what Tom is saying, mana crystals are just a by-product of a dragon's existence. They probably don't have much use for them if they're already so magically potent
(3:39:32 PM) Tom: Crystals are a limited commodity, yes, but they're not that rare. Dragon's make them all the time, and they don't care if people take them, because it's a by-product they can't use.
(3:39:58 PM) amenon: Seriously. Poop.
(3:40:05 PM) Tom: It's not poop!
(3:40:13 PM) kak_alakin: its totally dragon poop
(3:40:19 PM) Foe: Dragon sweat
(3:40:21 PM) Tom: It's more like... dandruff.

(3:41:28 PM) krzychukoko: fabulous
(3:41:39 PM) Foe: So the main reason these crystals exist is because a dragon has a skin condition?
(3:41:54 PM) Ketzal: a MAGICAL skin condition
(3:42:00 PM) Tec: Scale condition.
(3:42:10 PM) Foe: Dragon Scale Lotion
(3:42:18 PM) Foe: Scale oil
(3:42:31 PM) Tom: Like I said, they're magically gravity wells. They concentrate magic, but don't absorb it. So the magic builds up.
(3:42:39 PM) Tec: A product that can only be ordered by scalemail.
(3:42:55 PM) Ketzal: dragons are magnets

(3:45:11 PM) Tom: No, it just happens whereever a dragon is for a very long time.
(3:45:50 PM) krzychukoko: how long minimum to get any result at all?
(3:46:06 PM) kak_alakin: can we pay tree fidy for some

(3:47:35 PM) Ketzal: lol
(3:47:46 PM) Tom: Because it was a dragon cave. It had crystals there before because she's slept there before. And also... are you familiar with diffusion?
(3:48:03 PM) kak_alakin: why was this suddenly brought up anyway
(3:48:03 PM) Ketzal: heh, maybe that's where dragons get their gold hoards in 2k. From the mana crystal economy :P
(3:48:09 PM) Ketzal: because I asked about it
(3:48:28 PM) Tom: Nora was drained of magic. She had a lower concentration of magic inside, and there was a higher concentration outside. So it flows one way until it reaches equalibrium.
(3:49:16 PM) Ketzal: I copied a lot of what you said to the skype 2k chat. They're really excited about all the info :P

(3:54:54 PM) Ketzal: yeah
(3:55:02 PM) Siergiej: haven't heard of it yet
(3:55:05 PM) Tom: In the Twokinds world, there are a small number of spells called "persistants". They are spells that can be made into enchantments that last forever, because they use less magic than the ambiant magic resuppies. They're usually very simple spells, and it's a big deal at mage colleges when someone refines a new spell to this point.
(3:55:07 PM) Ketzal: you want in on it?
(3:55:25 PM) w0lfmare: I'm on the Twokinds skype, IRC, other IRC and the discord XD
(3:55:43 PM) Hayate: The skype one is just a bunch of us random forumers

(3:56:13 PM) w0lfmare: *But
(3:56:34 PM) Ketzal: Tom, is it alright if I copy paste all the info you said into a thread on the forum?
(3:56:46 PM) Tom: The process of making complex spells into persistants can take months or years. And there are sometimes big scandals at Templar colleges where someone will cheat and pretend their spell lasts forever, while in reality they're just hiding a much larger mana source under the table.
(3:57:05 PM) Tom: Eh, yeah, sure, I don't care.
(3:57:13 PM) Ketzal: thnanks
(3:57:30 PM) Kaede left the room (quit: Connection closed).

(3:58:31 PM) Hayate: a kind of silence spell that lasts forever?
(3:59:05 PM) Ketzal: he said earlier that there's multiple ways that it can work
(3:59:36 PM) w0lfmare: Well it might draw from the person's magic, which probably doesn't count XD
(4:00:18 PM) Tom: Yeah, in the case of a magic nullifier, it's a lot easier to do, since there's a ready magic source available whenever it needs to work.
(4:00:42 PM) Tom: Detect magic? Gobble it up.
(4:00:56 PM) Tom: ^ Exactly how it works. Very technical.
(4:01:33 PM) Hayate: fancy
(4:01:55 PM) Ketzal: huh
(4:02:18 PM) Ketzal: so when the nullifier went on zen, it just ate up whatever magic was maintaining the link with Nat
(4:02:52 PM) Ketzal: dammit Tom, you ruined my discussion thread idea XD
(4:03:08 PM) Tom: xD
(4:03:34 PM) Ketzal: I really like that bit about the "persistants" though

(4:05:56 PM) w0lfmare: Just dance around an actual question to get all the information EXCEPT the actual answer XD
(4:05:57 PM) krzychukoko: so basically....
(4:06:04 PM) krzychukoko: magic nullifier uses your own power against you
(4:06:24 PM) Tom: Yeah. Or at least, that's one way to do it. Probably the most logical way.
(4:07:08 PM) w0lfmare: Keep their well dry
(4:07:29 PM) Tom: You could probably also make like a cellphone jammer and confuse spellcasting so it fizzles, but that's a lot more complicated, and like I said, simple solutions is what magic is all about.

(4:08:38 PM) BaudelaireGaudi: ...not...

(4:17:38 PM) Tom: Heh, bags of holding are from D&D.
(4:17:56 PM) krzychukoko: oh so i guess that's where SS13 stole it from
(4:18:12 PM) krzychukoko: in ss13 if you put one bag of holding into another it will create gravitational singularity

(4:20:29 PM) krzychukoko: ok so pretty much "you're [censored]" kind of event?

(4:21:25 PM) Tom: Yeah.
(4:24:36 PM) Tom: Some people have used this as a weapon. It's the classic "bag in bag" strategy. You design a device that drops one into the other, attach it to a projectile, and throw it at the enemy. Send them to another plane of existance.
(4:25:32 PM) krzychukoko: well in SS13 if a scientist is a traitor with objective to make sure nobody on station survives it's very likely that he will create 2 bags of holding put one into another and run{assuming miners bring him resources...}
(4:25:45 PM) krzychukoko: so SS13 ripped it off 100%
(4:27:30 PM) krzychukoko: i wonder if there might be some other stuff in SS13 that is a D&D ripoff
(4:27:44 PM) Tom: People take a lot of things from D&D. And D&D in turn took a lot of things from Tolken. It's a circle of creative life!
On 6-29-2017, people in the IRC wrote:<Ketzal> hey tom, can I ask you a comic lore question?

<Tom> Depends on what it is
<Ketzal> It's kinda weirdly specific XD
<Ketzal> but doesn't have anything to do with the main characters
<Kiit0s> This better not be foot wrappings again... (lol)
<Ketzal> trying to word this right...

<Ketzal> How do the wolf tribes handle members that have psychological problems? Like if one of their own is prone to panic attacks, are they superstitious about it and think they're possessed or something?
<Ketzal> or are they more advanced than that?
<Kiit0s> (interesting question, I'll butt out though :P )
<Tom> Wolves don't have psychological problems.
<Ketzal> really?
<Seff> Yes. We are all absolutely perfect.
<Tom> They are the perfect species, without flaws. -some wolf, probably.
<Ketzal> XD
<Ketzal> well, screw that idea then
<Tom> I mean if they saw someone having a panic attack, most would probably think "hey, that guy's having a panic attack"
<Kiit0s> :O
<Kiit0s> revolutionary
<amenon> Wolves are big into Freudian psychoanalysis
<Ketzal> I was gonna say, they're advanced enough to be aware of mental health problems?
<Kiit0s> "Your panic attacks tell me that you have repressed sexual urges"
<Tom> They're less advanced than modern humans. But they're not dumb. Or at least, they aren't any more dumb than a human would be in the same situation.
<amenon> http://i.imgur.com/zDvyJSx.png
<Ketzal> Well, there are real world examples of humans still being pretty dumb. Just saying :P
<Ketzal> but I see what you mean
<Ketzal> XD
<Ketzal> nicely done amenon
<amenon> In fact, I'm not aware of a real world example of humans being not dumb.
<amenon> I used to make shuffles.
<Kiit0s> someone help quick, amenon is on fire
<amenon> It was a thing that I did.
<Tom> They probably don't understand the underlying reasoning behind mental illness, but they understand it as a concept. That being said, the problem with fantasy worlds is that possession is actually a real possibility.
<Ketzal> interesting
<Kiit0s> So they'd probably entertain the possibility, but maybe also realistically weight that against mental issues
<Ketzal> so, someone could have a problem and they'd likely recognize it, but there'd be the underlying fear that it was actually caused by something beyond them
<Ketzal> fantasy worlds are fun
<Ketzal> thanks tom
<Tom> Yeah
<Tom> One nice thing about living in a fantasy world is that people are more used to weird things happening. Ghosts, for example, aren't something most humans are afraid of at all, because they know they're generally harmless.
<Kiit0s> I wonder if there are like the equivalent to flat-worlders in fantasy worlds
<Ketzal> XD
<Kiit0s> like people who believe in something that clearly isn't the case
<Tom> "magic is an illusion! It doesn't exist!"
<Ketzal> "The dragons are gods!"
<Ketzal> ...oh wait, adrakists
On 7-31-2017, people in the IRC wrote:<Ketzal> hey tom, was wondering, how exactly does the slavery system work in the human kingdom in 2k?
<Tom> What do you mean?
<Ketzal> well, it's been shown that they can gain freedom and even own shops and be merchants, but are freed slaves as much of a thing in the more densely populated cities?
<Ketzal> I'm asking because I'm working on potential side story ideas
<Tom> Yeah
<Ketzal> one of the ideas I'm working on hinges on whether it's normal to see keidran that aren't slaves walking around a big human city
<Tom> Not all the Keidran living or existing in human lands are slaves, of course. Laws very a lot, because it's a big land mass with lots of civilized and uncivilized areas.
<Ketzal> right
<Ketzal> but the Templar pretty much control the human territory right?
<Tom> There are diplomats, merchants, travellers, indentured servants who earned their freedom, and those who were born into freedom.
<Tom> It's not the norm, but there are always outliers.
<Ketzal> ah, okay
<Ketzal> thanks for the answer
<Tom> The Templar aren't supposed to rule over anything. They're a guide. But a lot of their members have infilrated places of government (like Trace as Duke of the area around Edinmire)
<Tom> guild*
<Ketzal> okay
<Ketzal> so there's still a monarchy in power that is more or less running the show
<Tom> Yeah, of course. The government is concerned about the Templar's increasing power.
<Ketzal> gotcha
<Tom> To the point where some people consider the Templar and the law one and the same. And in a lot of places, they are.
<Tom> They're like... Scientologists. With magic.
<Ketzal> XD
<Ketzal> and Brahn's the proverbial Tom Cruise
<Tom> Yeah, not exactly the perfect metaphor. Maybe Mormons would be more appropriate.
<Ketzal> lol
<Ketzal> or freemasons maybe?
<Ketzal> I think I remember something about a lot of the founding fathers being freemasons
[22:58] <Tom> But basitins really do have respect for humans more than any other foreigners, because humans defeated them during the basitin's contact war with the keidran.
[22:58] <Tom> They have little respect for keidran mostly for the same reason, the keidran had to be saved by the humans.
[23:08] <Tom> Basitins first discovered the mainland at the southern tip of fox territory. They found Keidran promiscuity repulsive, and began an invasion soon after. Keidran had never prepared for an attack from the south, and were quickly overwhelmed by Basitin forces.
[23:08] <Tom> The Basitins made it all the way up to wolf territory before they were stopped by the Templar. The Templar had moved in to defend the wolves, and pushed the invaders back. Basitin had not encountered magic like the Templar weld, and were eventually driven back to the sea.

[MidnightBlue78] Even better

[Twokinds] ACTUALLY
[BadFoMo] Yes?
[DarthPsydus] ....?
[NeonMitsumi] That's it. Just "actually".
[DarthPsydus] whoaaat?knawledge
[Combak] When one of Nat's old, overused mana crystals broke, it was just a little pop.
[Twokinds] Metal melted magically is much cooler than when mundainly melted. Some magic-melted metals can be handled with bare hands! This is known as submelting, a form of magitation, which anyone who took a basic magicurgy class would know!
Jeez, get your basic magic science right guys.
[DarthPsydus] gesundheit
[Combak] tl;dr: Word of God BS. :stuck_out_tongue:
[DarthPsydus] adding 'magitation' to my dictionanry:slight_smile:
[BadFoMo] Might be total bs, but Lore is lore to me!
[Combak] Interestingly, that is a word... in Hindi.

[MidnightBlue78]
:ctwokinds-NoraEyebrows:
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
:ctwokinds-renirawr: yeah...... friendly
[unsteddyphoenix]
We could handle it. Crazier things have happened this year.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Risk of gender-jumping is a small price to pay~
[FenceEqualizer]
Depends on the dragons. Super intellegent dragons could lead to a good few years of issues.
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
just make sure they can't grant wishes. Don't want the wrong people getting what they want
[unsteddyphoenix]
But...IM the wrong people! :fearful:
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
so am I
[Twokinds]
Humans in Twokinds are generally not afraid of dragons.
Keidran less so.
[unsteddyphoenix]
And basitin not at all?
[FenceEqualizer]
Keidran knows what's up.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Why are keidran not afraid? They probably wouldnt interact with very many like humans would.
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
"oh Look, a flying dinosaur that breath fire and can turn me into a women at any time. Im gonna go say hi"
[MidnightBlue78]
i'm gonna poke it with this stick and see what happens xD
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
XD
[unsteddyphoenix]
"Flying dinosaur" is offensive slang and you should apologise
:ctwokinds-renirawr:
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
whats more offensive , Dinosaur or lizard?
[unsteddyphoenix]
Now we're asking the real questions
[FenceEqualizer]
Probably Lizard.
[MidnightBlue78]
definitely lizard
[Twokinds]
Sometimes, a village might just find a dragon sleeping on a hill nearby.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Also I think only Nora has gender-bending-tier magic
[unsteddyphoenix]
That sounds really cute~
[MidnightBlue78]
mushu disnt like being called a lizard
[Twokinds]
Heheh
[MidnightBlue78]
and then what would they do?
[FenceEqualizer]
"Omg is that a dragon by the fields? Let's poke it with a stick." - Joe the Keidran.
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
pete and the dragon, came to my mind from the Tom
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
or Pete's dragon
[unsteddyphoenix]
I enjoy the idea that every humanoid race might find each other scarier than dragons.
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
have you seen a human, those things are crazy
[Twokinds]
Heheh
[unsteddyphoenix]
I heard they dont have tails AT ALL :ctwokinds-reniderp_flip:
[MidnightBlue78]
some do tho
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
:ctwokinds-reniderp: NO WAY !?
[FenceEqualizer]
Does a tail bone count?
[unsteddyphoenix]
On every level except physical I have a tail
Prooobably not
[unsteddyphoenix]
I wonder if war broke out would there be dragons who would fight for the humans?
Assuming they were paid/in love with guard captains enough
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
:ctwokinds-reniembarrassed:
[Twokinds]
lol
[Twokinds]
Maybe.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Hmm~
[Twokinds]
Would be pretty bad for Keidran. But odds are Dragons would not fight a total war.
[Twokinds]
Reni is a loyal member of humanity, but she's almost the only one.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Ahh, I see.
It's not like they'd come together and make a desicion as a race though, right?
[unsteddyphoenix]
Considering how individualistic they seem
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
The rest are mostly "you do what ever as long as it doesn't me" type?
[Twokinds]
No, certainly not.
[Twokinds]
Dragons have no concept of natonality or government.
[unsteddyphoenix]
I really like that, it make so much sense.
[unsteddyphoenix]
What's the point of banding together when you're already so powerful.
[Twokinds]
Exactly. They're each entirely self sufficient.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Oh btw, wanted to ask, what was human-keidran relations like 5-10 years before Trace took over? Was it still fairly strained?
[FenceEqualizer]
Though makes me wonder if there's dragons out there that just destroy things for Sh** and giggles.
[Twokinds]
It was headed downhill before Trace.
Things were a lot better the previous generation.
[unsteddyphoenix]
What was causing it? Were the templar becoming corrupted before Trace took over?
Or was it...just a bunch of small things adding up
[unsteddyphoenix]
By the way yes I AM asking lore questions late at night because im a jerk
[Twokinds]
There was an upswelling of nationalism among younger generations of wolves following a period of peace that lead to increased conflicts along the boards.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Damn, damn that's interesting. There's so much potential there.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Since the humans lands are in the middle of the continent, do some keidran trade with each other by sea?
[Bgrmystr2]
was there slavery during the peace? Or was that something post-trace?
well, post-trace coming to power
[Bgrmystr2]
also, interesting to know that there was problems brewing before trace was even a thing
[Twokinds]
There just isn't much trade between the west and east sides.
[unsteddyphoenix]
We dont really know much about keidrans technology levels
Like whether they can even build ships
[Bgrmystr2]
I presume they would be able to
[Twokinds]
At the time Twokinds takes place, technology is just reaching the point where cross-sea shipping is possible.
[Bgrmystr2]
wow, even with all the magicand the towers and stuff
[Bgrmystr2]
Well, I guess since Eric's boat shape-shifts, obviously magic is related :V
or.. did shapeshift.
before you murdered it.:ptv-unimpressed:
[Twokinds]
Hey that wasn't me. That was the wolves.
[Bgrmystr2]
:ptv-laugh:
fair
I guess.
[Bgrmystr2]
but you wrote it! :ptv-sad:
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
Wolves did nothing wrong
[unsteddyphoenix]
Well all the towers and stuff were all human stuff
Which kind of made me think there was a tech gap
[Bgrmystr2]
 yeah that is true
[Bgrmystr2]
I would have expected a lesser tech gap if the the races saw each other as equals during the peace
[Bgrmystr2]
but since it's only just now becoming possible to create ships, it's more likely that it was just never a thing
[Bgrmystr2]
I'm gonna ignore marv.
just gonna sit here.
and ignore.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Except those WHITE wolves
Ugh
[Bgrmystr2]
ikr
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
you can't hide from the truth for long bgr
[Bgrmystr2]
beyond that one
[Bgrmystr2]
that one white wolf
she was nice
kinda sassy though
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
natani?
[Bgrmystr2]
but nice nonetheless.
WHITE wolf?
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
Flora?
[Bgrmystr2]
xD
[djikoz]
you guys are still up ?
[Bgrmystr2]
..no, Marv. Nora.
The white wolf.
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
you went to bed?
[Bgrmystr2]
is obviously nora
yeah we don't sleep, DJ
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
oh yeah, Nora
[FenceEqualizer]
But...Nora is silver....:ptv-confused:
And not a wolf. :ptv-sad:
[Bgrmystr2]
shhhhhhhhh
details
don't sweat em
[djikoz]
it's close enough, right ?
[Bgrmystr2]
Right?! :ptv-excited:

DJ gets it
[djikoz]
thanks Bgr

[Bgrmystr2]
did a number on his common sense, that's for sure
[FenceEqualizer]
Think he went coocoo once Keidran killed Saria. That's when things went down.
[Bgrmystr2]
Fence, it was when he tried to bring her back with black magic
[Bgrmystr2]
and nearly killed himself doing so
that's what caused a lot of his mental instability
[FenceEqualizer]
huh, When you put it like that. I wonder if Nora saved him from becoming obssessed again.
When he wanted to find a way to extend Floras life.
[BluePhantom90]
take Tom is either away or gaming...
[Bgrmystr2]
Well, yeah
[Bgrmystr2]
that was in the comic
you don't remember that part, Fence?
[DarthRexKing]
I was looking at Euphemural's page on the twokind's wiki. So she is the Goddess of the Keidran if I am interpreting this right? If so, I can see why she did a memory wipe before Trace wiped out the Keidran's "Legacy."YEEEAAAAH!
But you tell me.
[FenceEqualizer]
I remember him getting bad but not evil trace bad.
[Twokinds]
She's an interpreter for one of the tiger families.
[DarthRexKing]
Okay.
[BluePhantom90]
That was the Plan. the other mask wanted to wipe out the Keidran. So Euphemural is trying to save what little of the Keidran she can.
Ah... wait like a servant?
[DarthRexKing]
Makes sense.
[Bgrmystr2]
Trace was thinking about trying to extend flora's life, but then something told him he'd just waste his time doing so instead of spending that time with her to begin with
and I don't recall where in the comic that was
but I do remember it
[Twokinds]
Yeah she belongs to one of the tiger houses.
[BluePhantom90]
ah!
[unsteddyphoenix]
Belongs?
[FenceEqualizer]
Yeah I remember that part. That's what I was refering to when I said Nora saving Trace from going super crazy
[Bgrmystr2]
Yeh that's what you made me think of, Fence xD
was lookin for it, but I can't find it
[Twokinds]
She's passed down through a generation
[BluePhantom90]
I been meaning to ask that.
lol kept forgetting to ask about that girl with the tigers.
[unsteddyphoenix]
So shes a slave then?
[BluePhantom90]
a servant is a slave. only in a nicer way of saying it
[unsteddyphoenix]
No, servants arent slaves generally
[BluePhantom90]
depends on the circumstances
[Bgrmystr2]
servants, like a maid or butler or something. They're not slaves, it's not the same thing.
[Twokinds]
No she's paid very well
[Bgrmystr2]
It's an employment, see
[Twokinds]
Having a human is a great privilege
[FenceEqualizer]
.....Wait
[unsteddyphoenix]
Could she leave the tribe if she wanted?
[BluePhantom90]
So tigers do regularly visit human towns? I thought they were Isolationist?
[Twokinds]
Yeah she could leave, they don't keep her tied down or anything.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Ahh ok.
[Twokinds]
They are isolationists. Well, any nomadic, a lot of them. But there are some permanent settlements. One.
One major one.
[unsteddyphoenix]
THE BIG ONE
[Twokinds]
They're a lot less "civilized" by human standards, though the tigers seem themselves as very preened and proper. A lot of them see themselves as very superior to others.
[unsteddyphoenix]
How lizardy
[BluePhantom90]
hence why the tigers have a big chunk of land while other Felines have a smaller chunk
[Twokinds]
They exist in 'families'. It's very class-based. A lot of princesses.
A lot of in-fighting too.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Floras tribe was smaller, correct?
On the smaller end, rather
[Twokinds]
Yeah, they were upper class, but on their way out.
Their house had fallen down
In standing
[unsteddyphoenix]
Which left her perfect to use to broker an alliance with the forest wolves
[Twokinds]
It's how Flora ended up being so close to the edge and eventually captured.
[BluePhantom90]
So what if Tigers were to have a white tiger in their mist. Would they consider that bad or something. Like most animals do
[Kinipshun]
i too have been curious about that
[BluePhantom90]
they abandon them since they can't hunt and are easy to see by prey
[Twokinds]
White tigers, very desirable
[Kinipshun]
the white tigers can't hunt?
[BluePhantom90]
nice
[unsteddyphoenix]
Im surprised those prideful tigers are searching for alliances with wolves and humans.
[Twokinds]
Well, like a lot of upper class, they want money. And trade brings money.
Hard to stay isolationist forever.
[BluePhantom90]
If a war breaks out You don't want to be force to join the losing side.
[Kinipshun]
i know wolves did this, but do tigers ever hunt for keidran slaves?
[unsteddyphoenix]
Seems like it'd be hard to trade with wolves, with such a distance between them
Unless they used ships
[BluePhantom90]
Thus why tigers would trade with humans
[Twokinds]
Yeah they're not really interested in wolvesThey're hardly even the same species.
[Twokinds]
Tigers are much better than those mangy mutts.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Wasnt that why FLora and Sythe were getting married
Woaah woah.
[BluePhantom90]
Felines and Canines don't like each other remember... unless raised together
[Twokinds]
-a tiger, probably
[FenceEqualizer]
Racisim!
[unsteddyphoenix]
Ok that's fine
[BluePhantom90]
So What about Lions?
[Twokinds]
But you know, if it keeps a war from happening, they'll make a token alliance.
[Kinipshun]
lol bad experiences tom?
[unsteddyphoenix]
Hooo~
[Twokinds]
Lions and tigers?
[Kinipshun]
"mangy mutts"
[unsteddyphoenix]
An alliance with the wolves and humans would be...disasterous for them, s'true.
[BluePhantom90]
Yeah I mean Lions are more powerful then Tigers? what are Lions like?
[Twokinds]
Oh my
[unsteddyphoenix]
He didnt say that some tigress did
Or...tiger. I keep thinking of women 'cause they hold all the power.
[Bgrmystr2]
hahah I saw what you did there tom xD
even if noone else did
[BluePhantom90]
yeah yeah
[Twokinds]
The lions are not more powerful, civilization-wise. They are tribal barbarians. They are nothing compared to a pure tiger.
[unsteddyphoenix]
-the same tiger, most likely
[BluePhantom90]
ah
[unsteddyphoenix]
Oh so lions are real?
[BluePhantom90]
they are Feline so yes
[Twokinds]
They are rumored to be somewhere in the southern east peninsula.
[unsteddyphoenix]
That doesnt mean anything
Southern east...
[BluePhantom90]
What about Cheetah's?
[unsteddyphoenix]
within tiger territory...
[BluePhantom90]
I mean Cheetah's are the most Friendly Big cats out there
[Twokinds]
Lions and the rest of the cats existing in that sandy region.
[BluePhantom90]
awww so Cheetah's are rare huh
[unsteddyphoenix]
Really? That cant've been natural.
Did the tigers put them there?
[BluePhantom90]
Tigers are like assassins in the wild in real life. So yeah they could have done that
[Twokinds]
They're all the same species. A lion is just a big dumb stripeless tiger.
[Bgrmystr2]
xDD
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
lol
[BluePhantom90]
lol
[unsteddyphoenix]
Tigers are the biggest and strongest of the cats in the aminal world...
[FenceEqualizer]
-Roy the bigot Tiger.
[unsteddyphoenix]
If the tigers sold them as slaves, theyd make a killing.
Monopoly on these rare breeds of cats...
[BluePhantom90]
Well no Tigers are not. If a lion and Tiger were put into a fight together. Lion would win since a Lion's main is thicker and not easy to do killing blows
[Twokinds]
Tigers don't deal in slaves... mostly. That's those dogs in the west.
[unsteddyphoenix]
And the hoomans
[Twokinds]
Yes, the hairless tigers.
[unsteddyphoenix]
I see, I bet they regret that bit of morality
Ayy
[unsteddyphoenix]
Also no, tigers are stronger
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROPTP0yyroASee?
[BluePhantom90]
Some people managed to get a Lion and a Tiger in a pit together and fight, and the Tiger was tired out and beaten badly by the Lion
[unsteddyphoenix]
There's...no way that's true.
I mean, it might be true. But them having records of it?
[BluePhantom90]
test after test
[Twokinds]
No the sabertooths are the biggest and strongest
[unsteddyphoenix]
Literally everything I just looked up says tigers would win
[BluePhantom90]
okay Yeah Tom got mere there
Forgetting about the saber tooths and they are in Tom's world
[unsteddyphoenix]
"Some people have argued that the male lion’s mane offers some advantage in protecting his neck, but this is disputed. Some reports claim that when lions and tigers were pitted against each other in the Coliseum in ancient Rome, the tigers always won."
[unsteddyphoenix]
I mean, who cares really, but.
[Bgrmystr2]
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/quora/if- ... 48978.html Tigers favored over lions
[unsteddyphoenix]
Do the tigers have like, a "saber squad" that they can deploy
[Bgrmystr2]
and there's many websites that say the same thing
[unsteddyphoenix]
That'd be sick
[Twokinds]
Yeah the biggest cats are shorter than the biggest wolves, but they are much bulkier
[unsteddyphoenix]
This makes sense in my brain
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
how tall is the biggest wolf?
[unsteddyphoenix]
Even the panther was pretty buff
As tall as a tree?
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
a small tree or a big tree?
[Twokinds]
I don't know, I didn't make up any lore about the biggest wolf
[unsteddyphoenix]
Implying you have lore about the swollest cat?
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
XD
[Bgrmystr2]
probably not XD
[FenceEqualizer]
Natani is pretty tall....Maybe she's the destined biggest wolf.
[unsteddyphoenix]
Zens taller tho
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
^
[unsteddyphoenix]
ITS HIM
[FenceEqualizer]
Zen is the legendary biggest wolf then.
Also 1 hour and 33 mins Marv
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
I gave up Fence watching the X-files trailer
[Bgrmystr2]
Fence has bested Marv in the active racebut how long was your best, marv?
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
1 hour 37 minutes
[FenceEqualizer]
Welp too far down the rabbit hole to stop now
[Bgrmystr2]
5 mins to go
[BluePhantom90]
So if Nat took on a Tiger with same level of training and skill. Who would win
[MarvTheHugPharaoh]
let me know your record fence, so I can beat it later
[BluePhantom90]
well Thanks Tom for all the information. Definitely help with the side story I been working on. Had a White Tigress get captured by wolves who were hired by humans in the story
[FenceEqualizer]
I warn you now. It'll probably hit the 2+ mark as this has become my drawing sound.
[Twokinds]
Uh... I mean, it's hard to say. Natani relies a lot on magic and tricks.
Average tiger vs average wolf, wolf would win.
[BluePhantom90]
awww
[FenceEqualizer]
But...she's so Built! Hard to imagine him not being somewhat a good fighter.
[BluePhantom90]
Cheap tricks in fighting. That is how Keith won against a Basitin soldier with higher skill
On 11-8-2017, people in the stream wrote:[BluePhantom90]
Had one with Kat asks Princess Reni, to fix her infertility. Finds out why Nat hated being in heat
[BadFoMo]
That might be NSFW.
[Combak]
^
[Twokinds]
Reni can't use magic.
[BadFoMo]
She can't?
[Combak]
... Say what?
Are dragons, like, creatures of pure magic?
*Aren't
Or is that just Nora?
[Bgrmystr2]
according to lore, they are. Or at least, should be
I dunno if that entails automatic-knowledge or ability to use it.
[BluePhantom90]
well I ment as in a joke see Kat locked in her room saying " I Regret my deission!"
[Twokinds]
That's not... no
[BluePhantom90]
lol so how dose Nora turn a man into a Female horse? or Mare if we want to be correct?
[Twokinds]
Because Nora is 2000 years old and Reni's a baby by comparison.
[BrunoYcaro]
Tom i think you missed when i said it,
i posted the drawing of military flora in my twitter there is a link for it here in my channel in picarto if you want to check it out later
[BluePhantom90]
I thought 400?
[BrunoYcaro]
gtg,
bye people!
[BadFoMo]
Why not post it here?
BrunoYcaro
[Combak]
... Is this a case of "can't right now" being taken as "can't ever" Tom?
[Twokinds]
400? Noooo
[BluePhantom90]
oh nvm. yeah
[BadFoMo]
@BrunoYcaro Why not post it here?
[BluePhantom90]
lol
[BrunoYcaro]
idk how to do
i tho im new by here
do it*
[Combak]
Just paste the link in the text box.
[Bgrmystr2]
lol, that's what happens combak xD
[MidnightBlue78]
legitimate question here from me...do dragons die?
[unsteddyphoenix]
Is nora the oldest dragon?
[Combak]
Teddy, yes.
[Combak]
Tom has said she's about as powerful as the Masks... Or at least is the next step down from them.
[unsteddyphoenix]
I know shes powerful but that doesnt necessarily mean shes the oldest
Nora is a special case

MviluUatusun: BTW, Tom. I just saw the most recent upload of TwoKinds not long before I came here. I loved the implications. LOL.
counTTess: That was a great page

MviluUatusun: I especially love the way Rose gave Natani the “I'm watching you” sign. LOL.

ShamusTheFox: Hmmm. Just how powerful is Rose? Could she take Natani in a straight-up fight, even at her age?
CrRAR: Broken hip
almost instantly
Serpentfrog: I don't think Rose is much of a fighter…
unsteddyphoenix: Depends how magic she ended up being

unsteddyphoenix: havent seen any indication of majucks but maybe

ShamusTheFox: Well, I'm counting the use of magic in this scenario.
Foxpie: given the chance i think rose would woop natani
Serpentfrog: hasn't she ever only use magic in sketches? ie non canon
MviluUatusun: Hey, after what Natani did to Rose at The Dragon Masquerade, do you blame her? LOL.
unsteddyphoenix: Yeah
schattenlied: Rose never knew it was nat at the masquerade, she never saw her face
ShamusTheFox: True, just in sketches. But Natani also requires the use of mana crystals to power her magic, so it's not a far cry to imagine that Rose could do the same thing.
counTTess: *his
MviluUatusun: Well, Serpent, Tom did upload a drawing of Rose performing magic.
Coolkiddo: Rose did see Nat’s face, briefly before Nat changed into Rose
Serpentfrog: in the comic proper?
Twokinds: Rose also heard Natani’s voice
Coolkiddo: ^
unsteddyphoenix: Must be unique
Russian accents can be quite unique
Serpentfrog: now Tom, can you confirm if Rose can actually cast magic?
unsteddyphoenix: No wonder Rose remembers
CuteFluffyKittyKeidran: Natani is now Russian?
Tru7h: so maybe the look was more a “don't steal anything” rather than “i haven't forgotten you”?

Twokinds: Natani has a very unique voice, owing to a strong British cockney accent

MviluUatusun: Natani has a Russian accent? Natani is a Japanese name, I think.
unsteddyphoenix: HAhaha
CuteFluffyKittyKeidran: I just take all the characters to have one accent
Serpentfrog: you mean indian, right Tom
MviluUatusun: Tom. LOL.
CuteFluffyKittyKeidran: Since Im not bias lol
Coolkiddo: Yeah totally
CuteFluffyKittyKeidran: ^
Twokinds: Which is weird, because the Wolves don't have a Britan
MarvelTheHugPharaoh: why so british

The MrUnicorn: Just be sure Tom, is Rose Roselyn?

unsteddyphoenix: Its a speech impediment that SOUNDS like a cockney accent

MviluUatusun: I'm guessing that, since Natani doesn't have a real education, she has a very unique accident.

ShamusTheFox: Well, now for fun, I'm going to imagine different sounding voices for each. So Keith is going to sound like the cookie monster from Sesame Street.
JakeFrostDesigns: Tom you need to add the accents to the character page on the site so i can re-read the comic with the proper accents
unsteddyphoenix: lmao
Serpentfrog: proper accents lie in head canon

Tru7h: no we need an audio track with voice actors
ShamusTheFox: And Trace

1-5-2018
Bgrmystr2: How far back does the human / keidran not having kids go? I'm guessing this is something that has been "tested" back when humans and Keidran has better relations.
had* should say
Twokinds: Pretty far back. It pretty much started happening the moment humans and keidran collided.

Supahbuzzer: Guess what Trace Legacy and Raine Silverlock have in common

Supahbuzzer: neither of them have a mom or dad that's around
TheFDdriver: thats sad
MarvTheHugPharaoh: same for Zen and Nat
Deadman: thats depressing bruh

Twokinds: Trace has a mom
Combak: But no father?
TheFDdriver: HE DOES
Combak: He's the Chosen One, the one who will bring balance to the Force!
Supahbuzzer: but i don't see her
TheFDdriver: true
Bgrmystr2: cuz she's not in the comic
BadFoMo: His father was a keidran simathiser?
Bgrmystr2: his parents are talked about

Twokinds: She went for a walk in the manor and got lost a few years ago.
Supahbuzzer: so she's not around
Bgrmystr2: tom pls xD
MidnightBlue78: doesnt mean he doesnt have one
MarvTheHugPharaoh: XD
TheFDdriver: that explains
MidnightBlue78: ayayay lol
Questionbox2018: she got turned into a chicken

TheAngelsPlace: Come on!
MetalAppleSauce: (inb4 tom only reveals this because it's what's in today's page)
TheFDdriver: then what happened to dad
Twokinds: She's a few hundred miles away, in the west wing of the estate.
Questionbox2018: n e e d e d t h e m e g g s
Combak: Oh, so she's Madame Foster!
Questionbox2018: oh boy
Bgrmystr2: She went into the Restricted Section of the Lib- I mean Manor :v
DarkLinnk: maybe thats why the 3rd flor is off limits :thginking:
RandomTKLover: Ahahahahaha
TheFDdriver: maybe?

Questionbox2018: tom fight me in SMASH
Twokinds: yeah 3rd floor leads to the other estate districts and travel terminals.
Questionbox2018: nice
TheAngelsPlace: Ah
w0lfmare: Is there an underground maze to go with it?

1-14-2018
BluePhantom90: hmmm So Tom would Kei or Trace walking in on Reni or Nora shedding wouldn't ever happen

Twokinds: eugh
unsteddyphoenix: Oh that says "shedding"
Oh no.
FenceEqualizer: O_o
Twokinds: lizard shedding is creepy
Xexanoth: "Nora tricks Trace with a fake Nora build from her shedded skin"
unsteddyphoenix: There really is a fetish for everything.

Bgrmystr2: but they're dragons
not lizards
so maybe they don't shed?
unsteddyphoenix: Who shed like humans
Xexanoth: i mean, Dragons are snakes not lizards...technically
and snakes shed
Bgrmystr2: Dragons are not real, so they can be anything, Xex
Twokinds: They aren't either of those things
Xexanoth: Dragon literally means "giant snake"
goldgardianTo further muddy the issue, In D&D dragons are more catlike than anything else
Xexanoth: it's old greek
Bgrmystr: 2xD Mythical creatures
Xexanoth: but yeah, i can accept the whole fictional thing
but just saying...
Ordithus: Except Komodo Dragons. They're real. But they have toxic spit, not firebreathing.
Xexanoth: the whole dragon are lizard things is a pet peeve of mine
Bgrmystr2: well, they were never actually real to begin with.
BluePhantom90: I took the Shedding Idea from the anime/manga called Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou. They guy enters the Lima girls room and finds out she is shedding
Bgrmystr2: She is definitely not a dragon though
TheFDdriver: wtf?

unsteddyphoenix: That anime is trassssh
FenceEqualizer: Nuuuuu she is a snake
Bgrmystr2: Lamia are not the same as snakes, they're different Fence
BluePhantom90: She is a Lima and It was funny!
Xexanoth: the best part about that anime is that i still remembered the really old porn webcomics it was based on....i was like: wait a second
FenceEqualizer: Human with snake butt
TheFDdriver: and again, WTF
Twokinds: Heheh
No unfortunately the dragons have scales
Which they shed
unsteddyphoenix: And humans make armour out of?
Twokinds: The scales are used as money in some places.
Xexanoth: lol
TheFDdriver: really?
FenceEqualizer: If monster hunter is anything to go by, everything
Bgrmystr2: but shedding for a dragon could be really beautiful process, unlike lizards :v
unsteddyphoenix: Always a rich akidrast to accept them
BluePhantom90: or could be used as Armor if you got the right blacksmith
Ordithus: Not many dragons in Mekkan
Xexanoth: that reminds me of the Warhammer40k orks, they use teeth as currency, one clan is the richest because their teeth regrow faster
unsteddyphoenix: Lol I love 40k orcs
FenceEqualizer: I just imagine a dragon selling its scales for gold for there cave
TheFDdriver: XD
FenceEqualizer: Their
BluePhantom90: I take you used a little off of the D&D books on the dragons. I have been writing a twokinds fan-fic where a dragon requested armor to be made of its scales
Ordithus: 40k greenskins are fungi... it's so weird
Ordithus: warhammer in general I should say
Xexanoth: weird but awesome
BluePhantom90: the scales it shed
Twokinds: Farmer consider it lucky to find a dragon sleeping in their fields. They can usually find a few disguarded scales.
Ordithus: Also good for keeping would-be thieves away?
Bgrmystr2: @Xexanoth Just so you know, it was the same artist. So you're aware. :v
unsteddyphoenix: I guess it would cover the costs of missing livestock
Twokinds: Well, probably not. It's not like a dragon would know a tresspasser from a resident.
Ordithus: Oh yeah, that.
TheFDdriver: good night everyone
Xexanothye: ah i know bgr ^^
unsteddyphoenix: Is that how Nora met Trace?
Twokinds: That or trampled crops.
Bgrmystr2: mkay
Ordithus: Dragon sees sheep, noms
FenceEqualizer: Hoowee, Laura! We got them there dragon in our fields, we gonna be rich!
unsteddyphoenix: Landed his farmer parents fields
Bgrmystr2: lol maybe phoenix
Twokinds: Heheh
Bgrmystr2: asking the real questions
Xexanothre: minds me of the Dragons Burn comic: What does a dragon even need gold for? Dragon: Feminine products!
BluePhantom90: But Nora is the only one that can shape-shift for now huh

unsteddyphoenix: Traces parents are an interesting overlooked thing. How do they feel about trace now?
ZRO4825: Do they even still exist? o.o;
FenceEqualizer: Nah they ded
Ordithus: They wouldn't be too old.
Xexanoth: i mean, trace isn't that old
BluePhantom90: Lol I had a Sketch idea that Trace's Parents are Hippies. So they meet flora and they are cool with it. Emphasis on the "cool" part
InTheLionsDen: They tried to enter his estate when they weren't invited.
BluePhantom90: high cool! lol
BluePhantom90: Shocked no one did Flora's dad and sister meet Trace? Only Flora's mom
unsteddyphoenix: Pretty sure theyre alive
