You are all very funny to want Nibbles being another thing than a normal squirrel .

What Raine knows really to them , having lived practically closed in her mother's home : she have only her classic knowledge of anatomy to judge about Nibble state . So yes , she can think the squirrel is dead with her broken spine ; but any person knowing well such animal can pretend for a simple stunning ........ That's what it was :Lynn:

Pretend? No, Nibbly really was stunned.

Looking at it from a real-life-y point of view? yep, absolutely she was just stunned.

Looking at it from a storytelling point of view? That righ' thar be what we lahk tah call Fo'shadowin'

i can't believe i completely missed this page... i was left thinking nibbly was dead and forgotten. (;_;)

though i find it hard to believe she is completely uninjured from that... especially since raine seemed so sure she was dead.

there's gotta be something special about nibs, it just doesn't seem likely that she would be cunning enough to hide without anyone noticing, anticipating the barrier trap... then attack when fox-boy least expected it and then survive a brutal impact like that without a single scratch.

QUESTIONS! SO MANY OF THEM!
