Suppose I were rich and owned a mansion and a butler, and I were hosting a party at my house, rather than have me say "by the way, the third floor is off-limits", I might as well have the butler announce to everyone "the third floor is off-limits". Nobody would assume that the rule would apply to me, since it's my house and I'm the one who *made* the rule. Therefore there's no reason for my butler to say "the third floor is off-limits, except for André and myself"... it's just unnecessary. The butler is giving a rule to the guests, all they need to worry about is that *they* don't break it; those who are *allowed* to break it, i.e. the butler and myself, already *know* they are allowed to break it.

So yeah, I highly highly doubt that Rose meant that *Trace* is not allowed on the third floor; it's far more likely that it's just Trace's policy that whenever guests come over, they are informed that they're not allowed on the third floor, and Rose is just enforcing this policy as usual. She has no reason to explicitly exclude Trace (and possibly herself) since obviously Trace would *know* he's excluded if *he made the rule*.

Looks like Natani and Keith can't be separated. I mean...

First time together, the assassination attempt.
Next, Nora dumping them both.
Then, on the bath.
Afterwards, sparring.
Then, when Natani got into heat.
After that, a room in the tavern.
Then, the court hearing.
And then, another sparring.
Another bath scene.
When Natani went to cast Heart's Desire on Keith.
That one time Flora walked by and Keith was trying to make Natani stop nomming his ear.
Sparring session.
The carraige.
And now... when fate gave them the thing they wanted since they accidentally got into that bath, separate rooms, they get themselves rooms very closely to each other.

Seriously, wow.

well, they wanted the last one, obviously... and i am desperately hoping they get much closer than that over the course of the next few pages.

those two deserve a nice night together, sharing a warm bed.

Actually, I would approve of this development.

- a warm and dry room that isn't rocking on the waves.

- clean sheets that you didn't have to clean yoursself

- being free of worry about immediate attack for one night

- Freedom to choose

- and maybe they will find a trace of... well, you know, Trace in the past... without taking a chance of being blasted to smithereens in the process.

Can I just say, as cute as Rose was before, I think her maturity has done wonders. She has aged very well, and I can't help but love that mature attitude, little streak of gray, self-confident manner and apparent ability to pull an Igor and appear behind anyone discussing her.

Something that occurred to me later: It's interesting that Flora takes that line, considering she thinks that Keith and Natani are an item.

It doesn't seem to me like she's deliberately teasing them, so I think it's just her first instinct in that moment to be happy for them for what she knows has been a complaint in the past.

Quite sweet of her.
