One place that my daughter lived, they had a gray kitten who learned how to climb up and down trees by watching and imitating the squirrels.

Squirrels come down trees head-first...

Kat, that's not really fair, your only real interactions with the guy include him waking up from a mini-coma and motorboating you.

Sleepy Kat

I can relate. I mean, getting out of bed before noon?! That's too early!
If the universe is infinite, does that mean that there is a version of me out there who's thinking the exact same thing?

While we're on the topic of alternate universes, is there one where I'm a lawyer? If yes, then I may be more evil than I thought.

Okay, can anyone stop laughing long enough to post something? This is so perfect! 8)

Looks like Tom's Patreon was suspended and under review.

Yeah, I posted about that in the Rant thread, but I'll put it here for the folks that don't travel there.

Essentially, Patreon has been cracking down on NSFW, adult themed, and fetishistic Patreon pages more over the last few weeks. They are trying to get everyone who creates such content to either put it all behind a paywall so that it's not immediately accessible to anyone who accidentally stumbles on the page, or else either take it off of the page entirely. If Patreon doesn't at least make an effort to curb NSFW and even NSFW-ish stuff being so open on their site, then they're going to lose the support of their payment services, (PayPal and Braintree) as, "payments for adult content are subject to a higher rate of charge-backs, and because of an aversion to the content itself among some payment processors"

It's certainly an unpopular move by them, but they're really stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either they move against NSFW content and lose a lot of their user-base's support, or they don't move against NSFW and they lose financial support, killing the site.

(INB4 "But Tom doesn't draw nipples so it's ~tooootally~ not NSFW!")

It's unsettling how these big websites have the power to shut something down without notice in a matter of minutes that they had allowed for months or years earlier.

There should be a some laws protecting creators, just like there are laws that protect tenants; for example, that they have to give 30 days' notice before something is shut down, like for tenant evictions. "Under review" should not mean that the account immediately disappears. And why don't they just move "questionable" content (not that TwoKinds really is, the erotica in it is pretty mild) to different payment services, if some of them like PayPal have a problem with it?

I guess one takeaway lesson here is that every content creator should make sure to keep a separate list of the emails of all their subscribers and not just rely on websites like Patreon, so they can move to a different site more painlessly if need be. But even so... it would be a real pain to archive all of the art that only got posted on Patreon...
