Sythe has flavor.

Well to be fair, things seem to be in Zen's favor and there is no way of knowing when and how he'll make his next attempt.

It seems like the wildlife is friendly at least...if a bit hungry.

That's no ordinary squirrel!

It's the master spy.

Anyone notice that the squirrel hung on the fourth wall?
Spoiler!
He's grabbing the edge of the panel.

Very, very strange to see a squirrel behave this way with a predator. Altho, I have nearly had one do something similar to me once before. When it did, I also talked to it, just like Sythe is... and I'd swear it was listening to me. Maybe not understanding, but listening, for sure.

I think this page is my new 2nd favorite of all. Still doesn't beat my all time #1 fave, but man it comes close! Thanks Tom!

For once, I am going to have to agree with Red. Sythe has lost it.

Looks like we are going to get one weekly update from this time now :? Too bad...

Also, Sythe should join in the singing as well!

Well, Red is as diplomatic as always...this could end in one or two people gettin' stabbed again...by accident. :redhair: :sythe:

Also: *Boop*-Nosetouch. Adorable. The start of a true friendship. :3

I guess it's the beginning of the adventures of Squirrel and Nutcase. (And Red)

And Red is as diplomatic and discrete as always, the perfect anti-squirrel. I really like this one. :)
Dodge-fighting emotions. Also, whenever you ask, I am thinking about you.

At least Sythe still has enough sanity to admit to Red the toll it's taking on him. Yes, he's out there randomly talking to a squirrel, but he's actually telling said squirrel some pretty valid points too. The sisters aren't means to him (Karen isn't mean to anyone), but Maren still has moments where she shows she wouldn't mind if he were gone. Then again, Maren has a pretty abrasive personality most times. Sythe did show that he at least cared about the girls in some form when Red came up to him and Raine back at the stream. He cared enough to at least make sure someone was with them, and he was pretty dang concerned when he came back to 'Maren' with gashes in her stomach.

Still though, despite everything he's done for them most of the group is very indifferent toward him or hostile. I don't think I could keep sticking my neck out for a group that couldn't care less if I lived or died as well.

Welp, Sythe's hair is a solid. Maybe it's just that greasy it's assumed a permanent ponytail shape...

In answer to that, I'll just quote my 10th Anniversary contest post...

In a comic that had the roots of it's creation coming from bigotry and racism, this moment, with 3 people from 3 different races... Basitin, Keidran and Human... affirming their love and friendship for each other... THIS was a defining moment. I can't really say enough good things about it. That last panel strikes me right in the feels, hits dead-center with my own emotions about racism and bigotry. It's just perfect.
