yeah, i think i'm about 6 hours ahead from tom's time zone, not certain on that but it basically means i can't watch streams unless he does them early

Ok so I got livestream on my phone but apparently the channel is on original livestream and not new livestream. Is thier another channel on the new?

Ustream, his primary channel. As stated earlier in this thread, the Livestream was created because of problems with Ustream, but capped the viewers at 50 I think, so it was quickly abandoned.

There used to be a Ustream app, and there might still be.. My smartphone screen broke several months ago, so I don't know if the app is still working or not. It should be.

Tom is not streaming right now, but I have a question/proposal related to it.

Last Thursday I finally got my external hard drive replaced and the files from the old one pulled from it. Some of these files include videos I've recorded of some of the UStreams. I have not read the Terms of Service anywhere to see if this is allowed (even though I'm sure it isn't), but here's my proposal.

With Tom's permission I could try to make a YouTube account and upload the videos and mark them as private so that you need the link in order to view them. The link would be posted here so they could only be accessed if you knew where to look.

Any thoughts, ideas or things I should consider before doing this?

P.S. Even if I have the go-ahead, I am hesitant to do this since some of the videos should be edited (which I don't have the software for) due to ‘technical difficulties’ and I don't really want to get into any trouble.

I'd say ask Tom, and that's about it. I think a dedicated youtube channel would be neat.

You should probably check for legality, but if they don't know, who cares, right?

If you get Tom's okay, I recommend creating a separate account on YouTube for the purpose. And passing Tom the login info.

As I recall, he started using Livestream due to problems with UStream, but Livestream had issues with the maximum viewer number. As far as I know, he hasn't gone back.
