Re: TwoKinds [of] data

I think the interval between pages is more interesting than the amount of pages per month. If you have a page on day 1-8-15-22-29 you have 5 pages in a month with a 7 day interval. If you have a page on day 6-12-18-24-30 you also have 5 pages, but this time the interval is 6 days. The thing is, you...

Re: Comic for July 22, 2020: Trapped in the Middle

Edit: Karen also looks to her *right*, which from where she's at would be off the end of the pool, so the 'Maren' voice is coming from somewhere down towards the beach? As in, very close to Mike and Evals? :o No, the exact opposite. Karen is at the end of the pool that is towards the beach. Mike an...

Re: TwoKinds [of] data

Could you consider doing the very first graph again in a different way? Currently there is so much data crammed into so little horizontal space that it is impossible to see anything else than the low and high extremes. Maybe you could make a simple plot showing how many updates there were each year ...

Re: How did you find Twokinds?

I read all of 0 webcomics before Twokinds, but I was hooked. A while later I discovered Freefall through Twokinds, again starting to read out of order before kicking myself and grinding out the entire thing over the course of the week. I can’t say either is my favourite, because while Twokinds is m...

Re: Comic for July 12, 2020: The Rose Garden

That was brought up by others, that Rose's personality may have been split, causing half of her to walk the grounds, completely independent of the half hanging in the greenhouse managing the magic of the mansion. That would mean we have New Trace, Old Trace, black smokey, Seneschal Rose and Dark Ro...

Re: On Keidran Lifespan and tangential subjects

Regarding ancient human lifespan, I have seen estimates that the average life expectancy at birth was 22-29 years for most of premodern era. What varied was child mortality. If we assume, say, that in stone age 20 % died soon after the birth and 25 % of the rest died before the age five years, then ...

Re: Comic for June 27, 2020: The Painting Pt. 2

Wait... Have we seen ghosts in this world? Illusions of dead people, sure, but have we seen ghosts? I'm starting to think she's not a spirit at all, but a physical form inhabited by Rose's soul, like a shell, or a robot. One that could use the power of teleportation (via traditional magic, of cours...

Re: Comic for June the 20th, 2020

Aye, I personally am from the same camp. I don't care if it's "legal" ( and yeah, that "joke" REALLY didn't age well ) or not. I don't particularly care if the body is "mature" or not. The fact of the matter is that a person who is only 11 years old is someone who stil...

Re: Comic for June 13, 2020: Working Together

The impression I got from "detritus" was that it was Rose referring to the guests in the room as "detritus". Very menacing and dehumanizing. My impression was the other way around - that something was referring to Rose as "detritus". i.e. the remains of old Old Trace's...

Re: ERIC JUST KISS HER ALREADY

Given that Eric is sincerely (and extremely) grateful to Natani for saving Kat, I really doubt that he could have any objections to Natani's brother having a relationship with Kat. He may be something of the same old Eric in some respects, but his almost tearful gratitude to Natani and his attempts...

Re: Comic for June 10, 2020: Hitting a Wall

Wonder if the walls are magically protected? Also wonder if that wall is a physical wall at all or some kind of magical force field? Now that I think of it, using a force field (or equivalent) as a load-bearing structure sounds like something Evil Trace would do. Raine could be very literally right.

Re: Comic for may 26. 2020; Hidden Bound Stash

Reference sheets are canon, I think. The one for Natani confirms that his wraps work like in the joke page. The joke page could still be non-canon, so we don't know if he really has two bindings that are connected.
