Which is more likely: Give essentially random people at the very least read access to the server or remove the noindex directive in Apache?

Re: Panel Shuffle

Uh... how do I view the original-sized images of some of them? I right-click-->View Image but that just takes me to a smaller, resized version of some. For example, the "tentacles" comic is tiny when I try to view it. What the heck!? The pic even says the dimensions are 500 x 2229 px... W...

You mean this archive?

(You can thank Fireball for it.)

I'm glad ESET is doing its job, but surely this shouldn't be happening!
On the main page/comic archive, or the forums?

Re: What I need for an FTP server and a dedicated game serve

Software you mention: FTP Server for Windows? https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=server Windows 2008 R2? http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11093 (Eval edition though) Your questions: 1. Pretty much install the software and go. Seriously. I've run Filezilla Server o...

Re: Forum notifications problem

So, yeah... we found the logs, and hotmail's definitely blocking emails. I've told Tom, but whether or not 1and1 will do anything is another question. The six of you who have forum notifications going to hotmail (or at least the six unique addresses I saw in the logs), you might want to think about ...

Re: Whats with the site's security certificate?

Because when I set HTTPS up for the forums in 2010, instead of making Tom pay money for an SSL cert (which few people use, congrats on using it), I just hung it off the control panel's cert. Hence why you get the wrong domain error (it's meant for the control panel, not the forum), the expired error...

Re: OEM Disk startup repair

In general, no, not possible. Most OEM disk 'repairs' mean clean slate the drive, and restore the manufacturer's default image. If you've got an official holographic CD from Microsoft, you can do a repair install. Also, "corrupted ntfs.sys" bottlenecking Explorer? I'd think you'd want to d...

Re: Kickstarter thread!

Just FYI, Tom hit GMail's sending limit, so he's started sending messages out with Kickstarter's mailing system. If you haven't gotten your email yet, be patient, it'll arrive sometime this weekend.

Also, if anyone has problems downloading the files, please let me know. Thanks.

Re: For those who ordered a digital copy

This goes out to anybody who ordered a digital copy of Twokinds during the Kickstarter event: Have you recieved your copy yet? I'm asking this because the date when digital copies were sent via email was 9/28, yesterday. Personally, I think Tom is still in the process of sending them, but if you wo...

Re: Are Processors 'Plug and Play'?

Just out of curiousity, have you messed with imaging a Vista/Win 7 partition onto another drive? My boss had so much trouble doing it with Norton Ghost that he gave up and reinstalled windows. Personally, I'd use DD, but... I've lost track of the number of times I've imaged my drive onto another dr...

Re: Are Processors 'Plug and Play'?

Should be able to update drivers and such even after you put the hardware in the machine. It just might not use the correct driver at first so you'll need to give it the right driver as soon as possible. I switched out my mobo, cpu, and ram all in one go using the same install of windows. I've done...
