Re: Displaced (OOC - Interest Check)

The problem with thinking that a lot of buildings would still be around because there are ruins from older civilizations is that modern buildings aren't made to last for hundreds or thousands of years without upkeep. There's this really neat miniseries or something on either Nat Geo or the History ...

Re: Displaced (OOC - Interest Check)

I'll throw my hat into this ring. Intrigued by the concept myself, and it might make for an interesting RP if done right with the right people. Been wanting to get back into RPs anyways, and this one promises to be a good one.

Went and watched World War Z, the book was way better, relied a little heavily on action scenes, but still a movie I was happy to see.

Let's see, what made me smile? Oh yeah, completing army basic combat training today and getting to spend time with my family out on town for the first time in 2 and a half months!

Time for me to catch on the comic, see you around guys. Great to be back

Re: What made you smile today? Round 2!

Well tomorrow I start the rest of my life. In less than 12 hours I'll be heading to the Montgomery, AL, and the day after that, I got the MEPS station to be processed before flying out to Oklahoma to start BCT at Fort Sill. Gonna be a long 10 weeks, but worked hard to get here, and kinda can't wait ...

Today marks one week left at home before I fly out to Oklahoma for BCT. Gonna be a busy week, but glad that, after all the hard work, I have nearly reached my goal.

Re: Rant/Vent/sad thread

Found out my mom had blown a gas git in my car as well as having broken the radiator some how and it will cost at least $1,300 to fix it and even then it will take about a week or two because the shop is busy. Yeah, my mom really needed to let it cool but she wanted to get home because she was in pa...

Re: What made you smile today? Round 2!

There were a few things for me really. First, there was finally getting my car to the shop, despite if wanting to over heat, so that it can finally get fixed. Hope it won't cost too much. Second, there was finding out I don't have work tomorrow. Finally, there was finding out the gun control bill d...

Was able to test fire the Mosin I got yesterday, and it worked properly just as I thought it would. After the first shot, I had a wide smile

Re: Firearms anyone? Ok whos got em?

Well, as of yesterday with a new addition of my Mosin, in my house there is my .22 caliber Henry rifle, my mom's 9mm (don't know the brand it came from, only that it is cheaply made), and the Mosin Nagant from 1943 that I purchased yesterday and was able to test fire today to ensure it works properl...

Re: What made you smile today? Round 2!

I am now the proud owner of a Mosin Nagain rifle made in 1943, complete with bayonet, can of oil, some tools for it, and 20 rounds fresh out of a Soviet era ammo tin. Damn this rain, I want to go fire off a few rounds now.
