Re: Comic for May 30, 2020: Dragon Damage

Well, obviously, Reni is the gang's main weapon, which puts protecting her high on everyone else's priority list. So Nat is doing a good job here. What else they can do - they don't have a lot of equipment to work with, none of it really suitable for fighting stone monsters, and Nat's limited abilit...

About Raine's possible combat prowess: The master of a martial art knows more or less what another master of a martial art is going to do - but has much less of a clue what a complete novice is going to do.

Re: Comic for may 26. 2020; Hidden Bound Stash

Have we ever got confirmation that those bindings are really magical? In comic/canon i mean, i know there is a one-off comic page joke. This one, I believe you mean. I think it's well-received because, while having a little twist at the end that makes it funny, the basic concept makes sense and fit...

Re: Comic for may 16. 2020; A Second Chance

Besides as some point out there are more ways to build drama and tension than just killing characters. It may be the easiest but it is not the only one. Well the two versions I've seen of the suggestion for what to do when the writer is at complete wit's end for how to get the story to move forward...

Re: What made you smile today? Round 2!

On another note, I just spent half an hour watching Windows XP's 3D Pipes screensaver on dual monitors with music on. Screensavers used to be so cool... Something for those who haven't defenestrated... Or if you've reenacted Newton's legendary (and probably mythical) experience... There's this coll...

Re: Comic For May 13, 2020: Memories Best Left Buried

Remember, there are at least two major branches of this conundrum not yet resolves:

1) the group at the "beach" - the fight and then how they get back into the house

2) wtf is going on with Maren? I bet it's complicated and hard to block/undo/get past.

To show that the curtain is hanging down, rather than being blown around like it was in the earlier wide-angle shot.

Re: ShortTales

There's a wonderful example of how masking swearing makes it worse right here. Every instance of THAT VERB gets bleeped.

Perhaps the best line is "When I'm alone I BLEEP myself."
Spoiler!
The verb in question being "count."

Autocorrect strikes again. Being in the middle of a fifth might be a rather disorienting experience WITHOUT morphing into a dragon.

True true. She doesn't have the features that make it an issue (in most Human cultures at least, there are exceptions) in her Dragon form. But there's a Basitin among them. And her ankles are exposed. All four of them! https://www.crosstimecafe.com/images/smilies/dragonlaughing.gif I'm sure plenty ...

Re: Comic for April 19, 2020: Dragons and Stone

The difficult part is assigning levels; we don't really have a good idea of rough power level (and IMO Raine kinda defies the DnD system, since she has the power of a high level wizard (sorcerer?) but no idea how to use it). IMO the fight doesn't look like it's winnable, since there's at least 6 of...

I cannot imagine the crazy dark genocidal Trace making the golem act like that on purpose.
