Re: ERIC JUST KISS HER ALREADY

You know, in real life everyone has their own story and some other people wander into it, play a part for a while, and quietly wander out again to continue their own stories elsewhere. No need for a dramatic death. Or even a dramatic exit. Maybe over the course of maybe five updates we see in the ba...

Re: Comic for June 13, 2020: Working Together

In the very-early days of the internet, before automated routing got figured out, any given machine only knew about routers and servers it was connected to. So if you wanted to send a message to someone that used a different server, you had to give the complete route from your server to theirs - in ...

Re: Comic for June 13, 2020: Working Together

Tom once said, in response to a similar question, the keidran languages (high keidran for nobility and such, and low keidran for everyone else) are made primarily of growl and grunt-type noises. How that would actually sound, I have no idea, but that's what I remember. I don't like it. Obviously ke...

I believe that's Eric's magic mansion that makes women's tops come off when they try to escape.
Considering his personal... interests... I imgine his mansion makes women's tops come off when arriving not when trying to leave.
Unfortunately, tequila is not a good building material.

Re: Comic for May 30, 2020: Dragon Damage

This is bringing to mind a song cycle that's been developing in the UK filk scene for the last <mumble> years. It's a fantasy epic, in which none of the characters have names, just descriptions. E.g. there's the Warlord, the (late) Watcher on the Tower, the Injured Prince, the Sergeant, etc. The mo...

Re: Comic for May 30, 2020: Dragon Damage

Well, obviously, Reni is the gang's main weapon, which puts protecting her high on everyone else's priority list. So Nat is doing a good job here. What else they can do - they don't have a lot of equipment to work with, none of it really suitable for fighting stone monsters, and Nat's limited abilit...

About Raine's possible combat prowess: The master of a martial art knows more or less what another master of a martial art is going to do - but has much less of a clue what a complete novice is going to do.

Re: Comic for may 26. 2020; Hidden Bound Stash

Have we ever got confirmation that those bindings are really magical? In comic/canon i mean, i know there is a one-off comic page joke. This one, I believe you mean. I think it's well-received because, while having a little twist at the end that makes it funny, the basic concept makes sense and fit...

Besides as some point out there are more ways to build drama and tension than just killing characters. It may be the easiest but it is not the only one. Well the two versions I've seen of the suggestion for what to do when the writer is at complete wit's end for how to get the story to move forward...

Re: What made you smile today? Round 2!

On another note, I just spent half an hour watching Windows XP's 3D Pipes screensaver on dual monitors with music on. Screensavers used to be so cool... Something for those who haven't defenestrated... Or if you've reenacted Newton's legendary (and probably mythical) experience... There's this coll...

Re: Comic For May 13, 2020: Memories Best Left Buried

Remember, there are at least two major branches of this conundrum not yet resolves:

1) the group at the "beach" - the fight and then how they get back into the house

2) wtf is going on with Maren? I bet it's complicated and hard to block/undo/get past.
