Re: The Bleak Streets of Twokinds: A Twokinds Forum Noir Story

Turns out the "ban hammer" is attached to the "ban firing pin," which allows it to fire the "ban bullets" from the "ban barrel."

It's a gun, is what I'm implying. A ban gun.

Re: Overwatch

You didn't start with 6 Reinhardts, then switch to 6 Bastions, did you, because I faced a team like that and we managed to win. Get a Reinhardt with a Soldier:76 behind him and the Bastions aren't too much of a threat. The big issue with Bastion it that they have an extremely high power:skill ratio....

Re: Star Wars Episode 7

Well, when they fought him, Kylo was kinda emotionally wrecked, not to mention wounded by what the entire movie has been hyping up to be an abnormally-powerful weapon. Let's not assume that killing his father killed his emotions/sentimentality and made him stronger just because that's what he wante...

Re: Star Wars Episode 7

Also, if they manage to slide their blade down enough to hit the guard, if you had no guard, you'd be losing your fingers anyways, so at worst, the guard offers no additional protection. But it can still be used offensively, and presumably can be used against weapons that themselves are saber-resist...

Re: Star Wars Episode 7

This is all assuming, too, that he can't just... turn off the guard blades. And on again.

Re: [PC] DSFix

Yeah, they're getting ridiculous. They're already planning on a re-release of Dark Souls 2 that's basically just the actual finished product. Minor updates and a few things they didn't have finished before release. And they're selling it at full price with no consideration for whether or not you've ...

Re: Star Wars Episode 7

Not much to go on at the moment. Personally, I'm most curious as to the identity of the guy in the first scene wearing the Stormtrooper gear. Clearly not a clone. Who is he, and why is he wearing Stormtrooper gear? And who do the STs even work for now? I'll admit, I've not seen the original trilogy ...

Re: Watch_Dogs: It Just Gets Worse.

Compared to the less populated but more expressive Hong Kong of Sleeping Dogs, Chicago seems more mechanical and less human; which again, might be intentional. I can't tell if some of what they did in Watch_Dogs is brilliant or accidental. To be fair, I'd wager that actual Chicago seems more mechan...

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

I would say that the overwhelming success of the multiplayer feature in games like CoD, Halo, Battlefield, etc. had the impact of spurring on game companies to include a multiplayer element into their games even when multiplayer had never been considered during the initial development of the game. ...

Re: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

I'll give them this: They certainly know how to make good trailers. Unfortunately the game will play more or less identically to previous incarnations, which is to say cheap, arcade-style, run 'n' gun action gameplay that rewards reaction time and manual dexterity over any sort of thought or tactics...

Space Minecraft with functional ships? Looks great. I'll have to grab it when I've got some (read: a lot) of free time.

Re: Importance of Competition in the Gaming Industry

I KNOW you know how easy(and inexpensive, especially when it comes to patching) it is for developers to make and distribute games through PC, and how you don't actually need a gaming PC to play tons of awesome free/cheap games, that the family computer will do just fine. Well it's not really a matt...

Re: Importance of Competition in the Gaming Industry

PCs aren't really competing with consoles. Odds are that most people who can afford a console also have a PC. Maybe not a gaming PC, but a PC nonetheless. That consoles exist is good for gaming in some ways. For instance, consoles are more widespread than gaming PCs, and thus a developer can make mo...

Re: Reason 1956 to hate Arizona....

The problem with the bill is that it doesn't only refer to private business. It applies to public servants, as well. Meaning police, firemen, or EMTs can refuse to save someone if they think they're homosexual (or otherwise bad according to their religion). Private business still has the right to re...

Re: Console Gaming vs. PC Gaming

Quick Google search shows the supposed price to update games on both the PS3 and 360, though it looks like Microsoft removed the fee last summer. Not sure if that applies to the XBone or not, and it's not clear if it means that old games can be updated for free, or only new ones. No word on Sony's f...
