I'd be interested, though I don't currently have a stable Internet situation and may not for a while.

Re: Batman v Superman

So has anyone here actually seen the film yet? So far all I've got to go on is the ever growing crowd of people saying that the film was overly serious and suffered from too many sub plots syndrome. I have seen the film. This is an accurate description. Yes, but how was the fight? Almost exactly li...

Re: Batman v Superman

"The biggest problem with this movie is that it feels like several movies crammed together into one long, uneven and disjointed mess rushed out just so we can establish the DC Cinematic Universe as quickly as possible in a desperate attempt to catch up to Marvel’s popularity." That's the ...

Re: civil war

Ever since I realized that superheroes are Hollywood's new zombie craze, I've been picking and choosing which movies I see to try and avoid burning out on them (still a loooong way to go until Avengers 3). This one is on my list of "must see." Mainly because I loved the first Captain Ameri...

Re: Star Wars Battlefront

The game became unintentionally hilarious when I turned off the HUD. Mainly because I realized how many things actually depend on or require the HUD and also because my best round was with it off and in third person. It left me with a small compulsion to get good at HUD-less mode.

Re: Trash Mobs: A Rant on an Annoying RPG Trope

I might be missing the point entirely, but I wonder:
If a developer of an RPG looks at a point in a game and says "You know know what? You know you can beat this enemy by your level, I know you can beat this enemy by your level, so how about I remove the enemy entirely?"
Is that better?

Re: Some Solid, Proper Let's Plays.

I can't really attest to the quality of what I watch, but some of the LPs I've come to like are Video Games Awesome (My opinion is that its golden age was a couple years ago but I still like Fraser's opinions), Jim Stirling (former video game reviewer of Destructoid now gone Patreon), and Yahtzee (o...

Good god, I've gotten back into Folding@Home for now.
While not technically a game, I suppose it is something good to run while not playing games and to turn my computer into a heater during the cold months.

Re: Halo 5

I think my favorite part of that trailer is when the action starts and it's all shot in a single cut. I don't often get to see long single cut shots, especially in action scenes, and while it's probably much easier to do in CG than real life, I appreciate the effort. Could have done without the cons...

Re: What Are You Currently Playing?

Metal Gear. All of them (Well, main series games since I don't own the others. Except Rising, which I will play. >.>) . As much as I can handle to psyche myself up for Phantom Pain. So far, from MG1 to 2 to Solid 1, the games have gone through some really interesting gameplay updates as well as havi...
