By the way, is a wox (or folf) like Clovis fertile? I am pretty sure felineXcanine are sterile (IIRC...I binge read the archive) and, say, coyoteXwolf would be fertile (they even are in RL).

Different genera would probably be non-interfertile.
BTW, speaking of snow leopards, when I first saw Adira I had to google her name and 'twokinds' to find out what she was!

You might like my favorite Webcomic, Out-Of-Placers https://www.valsalia.com/ It has at least six races. It is said to have no magic, but it has ancient artifacts which are Clarkean magic. One of these artifacts transforms the protagonist from a male human into a female Yinglet. The planet it occurs...

So the races are only a few centuries old (assuming Mekkan years are the same as Terran ones)? That would explain why there are only three languages. They have not had time to diverge. It took Latin almost a couple millennia to become our Romance Languages. So East Basitin and West Basitin might be ...

Oh btw, I also like cladistics.
Any guess what order Basitin might belong in? At first I naturally thought Lagomorpha based on ears, but they really don't look anything like rabbits otherwise...not even in the ears. Fictional order?
