Re: Sketch of the Day

We missed a few sketches! First Zen demonstrates that the mental link can be quite inconvenient in Mind massage ft. Wolf Raine Then Sythe shows his good, and makes Maren feel "undresdressed" looks on a new attire on Well dressed wolf . Really like the prussian/french mid 19 century look fits him wel...

Re: Comic for July 14, 2019: Brutus

Well, he is a bodyguard. Being ripped is expected to apply for the job. Well for what I gather from the couple of bodyguards and other security personnel I am acquaintanced with. You need to be big and tall. Being ripped is not necessary. besides Brutus looks more like an underwear model than a bod...

Re: Comic for June 29th, 2019: Checking on the Prisoner(s)

But now that you mention i wonder how common is transformation magic in the world of twokinds. On canon only Nora and Trace have used it and for all we now Seraphina might be a simple illusion spell same as Carver. That been said transformation magic is one of the side sketches main themes. We've c...

Re: Comic for June 29th, 2019: Checking on the Prisoner(s)

There are Adrakist . I imagine that Adrakist are rather uncommon and as pointed by Mr Xian they are probably a bit extreme on their quest to become dragons. I imagine that, at a glance, Karen simply looks Keidran or human enough for most people not to really notice something is off. Also we have ne...

Re: Comic for June 29th, 2019: Checking on the Prisoner(s)

-Snip- The other thing this reminds me of is the tragic legend of the two lovers Popocatepetl and Iztaccíhuatl, who, if I remember correctly, were Tlaxcaltecas, enemies of the Aztecs. I won't go into all the details, but the beautiful Iztaccíhuatl falls in love with the warrior Popocatepetl. Her fa...

Re: Sketch of the Day

So there have been a few new sketches: So first Mike seems to have a rather weird dream with our favorite perverted dragon shapeshifter. Despite his reticience I do not think he has anything to fear. Nora is many things but a black-widow is not one of them, i do not think she will kill him. So he'll...

Re: Comic for June 29th, 2019: Checking on the Prisoner(s)

Actually, many of the Aztec's neighbors didn't share that view on war and religion (they did sacrifice human beings as part of their religion too, but not at a level that demanded to launch actual wars to provide enough victims...), and loathed them so much that when the Spaniards arrived they prov...

Re: Comic for June 29th, 2019: Checking on the Prisoner(s)

Some Long-Winded History Notes from Professor Rafe: I minored in History, and ended up working as a historian, with one of my main areas of study being the history and effects of warfare. There have been periods in human history when wars were conducted under a very strict and mutually respected ru...

Re: Comic for June 29th, 2019: Checking on the Prisoner(s)

The East and West Basitins are in a constant state of war, and have been for centuries. This is why they're such a powerful warrior race. They never stop fighting, and they don't want to stop fighting. They enjoy their constant war so much, that if one side is losing too much ground, the other will...

Re: Comic for June 29th, 2019: Checking on the Prisoner(s)

Just a note here. Both Eastern and Western Basitins are militaristic communities to their core. Military life and conflict between the two communities is so essential that when one side begins to gain too much of an advantage over their counterpart, they actually back off and let the other side rec...

Re: Comic for June 29th, 2019: Checking on the Prisoner(s)

And that makes them not very adaptable, they require constant orders and a clear chain of command to operate, well the least "tropical" ones do. And I figure they are mired in military bureaucracy and "doing things by the book" and when confronted with disaters, such as half of the top brass dying ...

We finally get Anthro Nora, and I, for one, welcome our new scaled overlords
You know I am not a fan of Tom's anthro dragons, just too much neck for me.
