Re: Rant/Vent/sad thread
So... About a year ago, I first joined these forums, because after trying so hard to figure out who I am in this great big world we live in, and getting no help from the therapists I had access to (who mostly were actually good at their jobs, but simply didn't specialize in the kind of help which I ...

Re: Your Spiritual Beliefs
My own "perspective," if you can call it that, is to be as objective and thorough as possible, to make no assumptions, and some other things that I can't really recall while it's a little after 2 AM and my mind, while still not ready to sleep, is lacking focus nonetheless. I don't believe ...

Re: New to online text-based RPing, only experience so far didn't go so well; want advice
So... shall I take it that the RP I was in was just a poorly-made RP, and that most text-based RPs have structure which the RP I was in had lacked, and usually don't have the same problems as a result?

Re: New to online text-based RPing, only experience so far didn't go so well; want advice
You answered it yourself, the problem is that the RP was haphazardly setup, with little forethought into the plot or setting. This is twice as dangerous when not based on a pre-existing world, since nobody except the GM knows what the lore is, and results in players either tip-toeing around in fear...

New to online text-based RPing, only experience so far didn't go so well; want advice
Hello, everyone! As the title says, I've only been involved in one online text-based roleplaying campaign; I have much more experience with RPs with established rules and ways of calculating things, such as pen and paper RPGs, but my own experience with online text-based roleplaying has been one cam...

Re: Psychoanalysis for the psychological enigma, from a "furry" perspective
So... one of the things that's been on my mind lately is one of the changes in my personality over the past year or so that I haven't described yet... and unlike the ones I've described so far, this one is kind of worrying to me. See, before all of this started happening, I was pretty humble. I neve...

Re: Psychoanalysis for the psychological enigma, from a "furry" perspective
only reason i believe is because i managed to kiss him and he felt it, as well as feeling all of my actions without me telling him of them (i could also feel his actions). as well as that there's someone else (the friend you talk to) who shivered when i touched their shoulder (i felt the shiver). w...

Re: Psychoanalysis for the psychological enigma, from a "furry" perspective
I have some very good friends that are otherkin if that helps? one of them you already talk to, the other would probably enjoy talking to you, even if it's only because he saw your name in my mind. Try to keep the idea that being part demon is bad, because trust me, demons are actually very amiable...

Re: Psychoanalysis for the psychological enigma, from a "furry" perspective
So, anyway, the reason I brought up the topic of Rick and Morty was the fact that I see a lot of similarities between myself and Rick (and also Morty, but to a much lesser extent). Psychologically, we're both extremely far removed from the human norm: we're both geniuses; we both explore and even ma...

Yeah, He means talking through the scenarios. That's a relief. But no I haven't... It's one of the best shows I know of. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_and_Morty http://rickandmorty.wikia.com/wiki/Rick_and_Morty_Wiki If you read through the information on those sites, you'll find that Rick is d...

Re: Psychoanalysis for the psychological enigma, from a "furry" perspective
Well my psychiatrist seems fine with it really, I think here there's a bit of a blurred line perhaps between psychiatrist and psychologist, but he definitely said he was a psychiatrist, he said next time He wants to try putting me through scenarios which will be.... Interesting Putting you through ...

Re: Psychoanalysis for the psychological enigma, from a "furry" perspective
My social worker called in a psychiatrist on me she's that concerned, just because the friends that I made were online friends that I had never met offline I'm surprised a psychiatrist would be telling you this... Psychiatry is about giving medications to modify the chemicals in a patient's brain a...

Re: Psychoanalysis for the psychological enigma, from a "furry" perspective
As I've been discussing with prototype99 in PMs, I don't really see myself as a person. From the conversation: Going back to my dreams, I think I might understand why I can't see my dream persona' face: the hero is all I am. I have almost never thought of my own needs as being significant in their o...
