As for slicers I can highly recommend cura for ease of use and great results with minimal setup and slic3r for advanced features (but slic3r requires *a lot* of setup and tuning for good prints but once you got it it's pretty amazing and always gets the new fancy features first ^^). Taking the delivery times of about a month into account I don't think any virus can survive on such packages (in a lab environment the virus was able to survive about 24h on paper and up to 3 days on plastic and stainless steel)
