Re: Comic for July 12, 2020: The Rose Garden

The theories are all over the place about who or what Mrs. Nibbly really is. The only thing I'm sure of is that she isn't an ordinary wild squirrel. Note that an ordinary tame hand-reared-by-keidran squirrel is not an ordinary wild squirrel. Neither is a dragon magically transformed to a squirrel. ...

Re: Natani and Her Dexterity

I'm somewhat ambidextrous - enough so that once a doctor glanced at the degree of muscle development in my arms and listed me as left-handed. (I corrected him.) So I don't see anything exceptional or improbable about Natani's bilateral dexterity. Especially because he's a cartoon character. Cartoon ...

(Also iOS autocorrects Natani to “Nagano” and it’s really throwing me off.)
That's easy to fix: turn off autocracy. Autochthonous. Autoclave. You know what I mean.

Well today was Canada day, but it also rained so that sucked. Hopefully it won’t rain on the Fourth of July for you folks. :raine: haha get it?
Well, it won't rain on our parade...

Re: Comic for June 27, 2020: The Painting Pt. 2

If Rose is indeed a spirit, then she's a very unconventional one. She's been seen interacting with physical objects quite a few times. I think it's only twice we've clearly seen her physically interact with something that is definitely a physical object, as verified by someone else interacting with...

Re: On Keidran Lifespan and tangential subjects

how come Keidran have a functioning civilization if they live onl 30 years?. This is the very first occasion that I've seen THAT question brought up or addressed. The question is whether the keidran can be competitive, culturally, technologically, or diplomatically, with longer-lived species. Not w...

Re: Comic for June the 20th, 2020

The age of consent is very very heavily reliant on life experience. Being a consenting individual relies not just on how developed a brain is, it's reliant on the individual being able to make an informed decision through understanding the position that they're in based on the information they have...

Re: Comic for June the 20th, 2020

Greater intelligence does not help you gain experience faster if you're dependent on physical processes. A stronger blacksmith can maybe swing a hammer faster - a smarter one can't. Neither a stronger nor a smarter farmer can make the livestock reproduce faster, not speed up the changing of the weat...

Re: Comic for June the 20th, 2020

Life expectancy at birth was a brief 25 years during the Roman Empire, it reached 33 years by the Middle Ages and raised up to 55 years in the early 1900s A statistic that is very deceptive and not to be taken on face value. Infant mortality. In the 1850s in the US, life expectancy for newborn boys...

I don't like the alleged short lifespan either, even though their childhood is (or was as of 2017 our time) significantly shorter than ours. https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca887773594c2.wixmp.com/f/41444526-b6bc-4a30-a898-103b0674da0e/dbmn2h4-44ad1dfa-9090-4139-a7d7-5b96a7f87394.png?token=eyJ0eXAiO...

Maybe Evil!Trace setup Rose with a "The Picture of Dorian Gray" type situation and she just modifies her appearance with magic?

Re: Comic for June the 20th, 2020

Possibly Saria took art lessons from Basil Hallward.

(Never heard of him? He's only known for one painting - a picture of Dorian Gray.)
