Re: Sketch of the Day

While I don’t think I’m against it, I feel that this whole ‘Nibbly being more than just a Squirrel’ thing has the potential to break the comic; even if it doesn’t come completely out of left field! I've always specified that I don't believe she's an ordinary wild squirrel. A squirrel who's been han...

Re: Comic for February 15th, 2020: Formal Proposal

Raine is purebred, 100% human 50%. Father is Euchre. Even if he was using "perfect transformation" at the time. 100%. She was conceived at a time when human-keidran hybrids were not possible*. Therefore she isn't one. "Perfect transformation" necessarily extends to the genetic level, and Euchre was...

Re: What does twokinds mean?

And if the keidran were more solidly based on Earth life, we'd have a bare minimum of three species of keidran: canines, felines, and vulpines. Crosses between them would be no more plausible than crosses between them and humans. (Oh, and not all "fox" species are vulpine. For that matter, the South...

And she did a stint as a literary critic. "This is not a book to be put aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force."

I have to agree. Not sure what it is about that look on her face, but I like it.
It's a wonderful happy-irked expression.

Re: Random quotes V.2.0

The fastest way to a girls heart: Is to rip it out of her chest! Not the best romantic advice... Some years ago I saw a test of this, using artificial cadavers made for medical purposes, in an experiment to find out if the tales of how many people the Aztecs could sacrifice in a day were plausible....

Re: Can we please have that Templar guy be a girl wolfy now?

The Templar are an organization of mages. The Templar leadership collectively is drunk with Absolut power. Trace, before his amnesia, was the top guy in this leadership and on a keidran-extermination frenzy that some of his immediate subordinates went along with and others, it seems, only appeared t...

Re: Comic for January 25, 2020: Old Plans Reawakened

I'm trying to remember... thinking back a few pages to Maren and Sythe coming into the Oasis Room, did we ever settle whether Maren's comment of "he never invited me here before" was about the estate or just the Oasis? I think it must be the estate itself she's never seen before, since she didn't k...

Maren is committed to this, but she can't yet admit it even to herself. If they're interrupted she'll say "thank goodness" and be severely disappointed.

It is a mystery, with them apparently still in the hall, how Nibs was able to collect all their clothing.

Re: Comic for January 4, 2020: Chicken Chaser

On the question of Rose. Have we ever seen her physically interact with any of team A since they arrived at the mansion? Like Lets say that some one tries to put a hand on her shoulder and their hand just goes right through it like it's not even there? Reni's morning coffee - the first time that, i...

Re: Comic for January 4, 2020: Chicken Chaser

It was some time from when we first met Rose in the mansion, and the first time we saw both her and someone else touch the same physical object. Which left me wondering, until it happened. (The first occasion was when she gave Reni her morning coffee.)

Thank the lords it not just me! That makes me feel a little bit less old, I was worried i would have to break out a pipe and slippers at this rate.
I'm sort of old, and wearing slippers at the moment, but not into plumbing.

The place I worked before I retired, it was 10 days from the end of the pay period to payday. And we got paid every two weeks. I think it probably dated back to when a significant portion of payroll processing was manual, and just had never been changed. (Heck, when I started working there we had to...
