Re: Twokinds available in CBZ, PDF and ZIP format
Yep, Chapter 3 works now, both on desktop and mobile. The test link filenames are truncated where the comma should be, so I guess it's a quoting issue? Chapter 5 and 6 (part 1) are good now too. Thanks again! I commend your... work ethic? Shoot, I'm not sure, but I'm really impressed that you're mai...

Re: Twokinds available in CBZ, PDF and ZIP format
New layout looks great! Couple of issues though: none of the chapter 3 links provide a file extension. The downloads seem to be the correct size, but iOS doesn't know how to open them. Second, the first page is missing from the Chapter 6 (part 1) file, and the first two pages of chapter six are incl...

Re: Twokinds available in PDF format
Ok, finally got off my [censored] found time in my extremely busy and not at all made up schedule and tried the CBZ. Only looked through the first couple chapters, but it works great. :) Thanks for compiling that! Though a combination of my own ignorance and Mobile Safari downloading the entire file...

Re: Twokinds available in PDF format
CBZ files are just ZIP files with sequentially named images (usually PNG or JPG). The Wikipedia Comic Book Archive page has a list of comic readers along with a little more info.
If you wanted to start up a torrent for each chapter, I have 10Mbps of upload I can share.

Excellent. :)avwolf wrote:It's covered under Tom's Creative Commons License. This (or compiling it into a CBZ for that matter) is completely acceptable.
Edit:
Reading that licensing page makes me happy! Heck, that it exists at all is super awesome. Time to donate again; who's with me?? :D

Re: Twokinds available in PDF format
Oh, this would be pretty handly. Any specific reason you're compiling PDFs instead of a comic reader archive like CBZ or something? I'd worry the PDF conversion is recompressing JPEGs...
And I'm sorry to be a potential bring-down, but has anyone asked Tom if he's ok with this?

Re: Would you support a geneticly made anthropomorphic anima
Hoo boy, this is a long one even for me. Unless you want humanity to die out (admittedly that'd be one heck of a way to deal with the future: "Sterilize everyone, this is the last generation, party and party hard because in another 60-80 years we'll all be dead"), there's a fairly good rea...

Re: The first computer Operating System you ever remember ha
My family's first computer was a TRS-80 ColorComputer 2 running Microsoft Basic (it didn't really have an "operating system" as such). Microsoft BASIC-A, to be extra specific. :P My first was also a Tandy TRS-80 ColorComputer 2. Came with a "teach yourself BASIC" book, so I did!...

Re: What I need for an FTP server and a dedicated game serve
I'm having a bit of insomnia, so you get treated to one of my long and rambling posts. Enjoy. ;) Before you get started (a little late, methinks :), understand that a server is actually just software. Most people colloquially call hardware dedicated to running such software a server, but the distinc...

Re: Video Editor
Kind of a shot in the dark, but I'll try to answer this question. For a better answer, I will need you to answer the following questions: What OS? What kind of editing do you wish to do (describe your workflow)? What kind of source and output formats? On Windows, I recommend you look into VirtualDub...

Re: Would you support a geneticly made anthropomorphic anima
Well, the Earth is currently becoming overpopulated with respect to our modern level of technology and knowledge, so more children is only necessary to make sure the global population doesn't suddenly plummet in 60 to 90 years. But besides that, I think I could think of several reasons to have a ki...

Re: Would you support a geneticly made anthropomorphic anima
But what reasons would be right for creating a new life form like an anthro? I can't see a need for it. Can you think of the right reason to have children? Does anyone really need kids? Sorry to keep harping on this point, but I really do see anthros as a possible path to continue our own lineage, ...

Re: What blew your mind today?
Hmm, my mind hasn't been blown in quite a while, probably on the order of years. I miss that sense of revelation. So let's see if anyone can help me out here by sharing some good mind-blowing experiences. :)
