Re: Random quotes V.2.0

Okay, who had "cloned female mutant crayfish" on his list for 2020 Catastrophe Bingo? Yup, that happened. People want 2020 to end because of the royal [censored] storm this year has sent out. Honestly, I've lost track. Plague, ice caps and global warming, firenados, dead celebrities... This year ha...

Re: Last Man Posting

To be fair, most newer cars are that way, where one part will fit pretty much one model, over a short few years. Jeeps, especially the older ones, were quite the opposite. 'Round here, AutoZone, Advance Auto, those types of stores will look up parts by vehicle, rather than by part. It doesn't really...

Re: Last Man Posting

I go to Crown Auto for my Jeep parts. They're exclusively a Jeep parts store, and the people there know about almost every component from anything under the Jeep logo, and can still get most of it. As far as bearings go, Jeeps are about as generic as they get. I'd honestly expect, "I need a wheel be...

Re: Silverlocks 11 [COMPLETED][DEFINITELY NSFW]

Sorry it took me so long to read this. I've had life crap to deal with, and I couldn't really spend the time to read it through properly. This was quite a nice resolution to everything that happened up to this point. And as far as the change in pace with Keith and Natani raining holy hell down on th...

Re: Last Man Posting

And now I have a (semi) comprehensive parts list. Right front wheel bearings and races, hard door hinges (which I may have to manufacture), wiper blades, transmission input shaft bearing, transfer case rear output driveshaft seal, gas cap seal, and (if they still exist) a CJ-5 hardtop. And snow tire...

I like snow. I just don't like clearing it.

Re: Last Man Posting

Crash course on winter driving: Good flipping luck. Roads covered with ice cause wheels to slip, as if you're floating above the road instead of on it. Around here, we use salt to clear the ice, but it severely accelerates corrosion on any kind of metal. Snow itself is heavy and usually dense. If yo...

Re: Last Man Posting

The battery and drive unit are warrantied 8 years unlimited miles, so if it's one of those, he's good. But if not... It's bad news. And no, it's not. My daily is my go-to winter vehicle. That CJ is original virgin steel, not an alloy, not coated, not aluminum. It would ROT in a New England winter as...

Re: Last Man Posting

Welp, I spoke too soon. Tesla's on the fritz again. Dad's got my Impala, and I'm back to winterizing the 52-year-old CJ. For hopefully the last time. Got the message this morning, while I was at work. He had my grandmother pick him up at the service center. Good thing I took the Jeep to work... Also...

Re: Comic for October 24, 2020: Detritus and Stone

Not sure I'd call getting stabbed in what would be his heart (do stone lizards even have a heart?) "rescue". I'm actually kind of worried about him, that attack looked like it could kill him. And remember that he bruised Maddie's ribs (who is a Basitin and has superhuman defenses), so those tentacl...

Re: Last Man Posting

Apparently even cars can get so old that they flat out refuse to talk to anyone. Lucky for us, they also get jealous when you choose another one over them.

The Tesla threw a hissy fit, but it's better now.

Re: Filler for October 22, 2020: Twokinds 17th Anniversary!

Looked at this at work, took FOREVER to load, but holy CROW was it worth it. Absolutely phenomenal. How do you even DO this?

I tip my hat to you, sir. Well done. Well done, indeed.

(we need a "hat tip" emoticon)
