Re: Malicious Site Redirects

Woooo. More infected ads on Keenspot. I've notified Turaiel, who can get in touch with the Keenspot folks directly.

Re: Forum email is coming from a different location

I think it's been working long enough that I can drop this topic from the global announcements.

If anyone has anymore issues, post here or PM directly.

Re: Forum email is coming from a different location

Okay, the previous e-mail stoppage has been fixed, but now there's something I'm a bit wary of. The links in the e-mail should be pointing directly to twokinds.net/forum/ — they're not, they're pointing to an alphabet soup redirect on sendgrid.net. My e-mail client (Thunderbird) has flagged this as...

Re: Forum email is coming from a different location

A few of you have email addresses that seem to no longer exist in your accounts. If you're one of them, I'll be deleting your email address from your account and PMing you. I'll be doing the same for any future message that bounces too - if enough email bounces, the new provider will just outright b...

Re: Hotmail/Outlook/Live.com users: change your email addresses

Alright, Mailgun didn't work, but Sendgrid did. All forum emails will now come via sendgrid.net for the forseeable future.

As long as we don't bust the 12k emails/month limit, it won't cost me any money. 8)

Re: Hotmail/Outlook/Live.com users: change your email addresses

Oh, I've tried. Mailgun wants DNS changes, and I don't have the authority/access.

Tom rather busy, and it's somewhat lower priority for him.

Forum email is coming from a different location

If you're using a Hotmail.com, Outlook.com or Live.com email address, you might have noticed that you're not getting emails from the forum. Microsoft seems to have decided a whole bunch of servers at 1and1 (where the forum is hosted) send spam, and unfortunately the forum is caught up in Microsoft'...

Re: The forum might break for you! Test your browser now!

aj: Please add this to the chain. That should complete the alternate path, and I'd bet cash money that that root is trusted. Might add an additional round-trip to the handshake, with a bit of bad luck, but I'm guessing that isn't of primary importance :P So... I did that a while ago, but for the de...

Re: The forum might break for you! Test your browser now!

And for you not going to many boards that often: I'm sure there are a number of people who won't see this thread in this board. Expect random threads scattered about come October 3rd. Undoubtedly. Even tried to make the title all scary if people just read the title of the most recent post. I think ...

Re: The forum might break for you! Test your browser now!

I originally posted in the rant thread because I felt it too trivial to post it here. Afterall, my post was a rant... I figured that the way my phone was acting was... normal? In some way it was behaving properly, as I could still access the site after going through a few web pages of "yes, I ...

Re: Rant/Vent/sad thread

While on mobile, the https link to the forum (check the bulletin board) sends up warning signs and the like, but I am able to access the site. I'm unsure what the difference is going to be, exactly. Why does my browser think that the site is not safe and untrustworthy? Why is this a "good"...

Re: The forum might break for you! Test your browser now!

I was trying to take a guess at what TinyVoices' issue was, so I took a look at it with openssl s_client and got the plesk certificate. Which... could even be the problem, actually, though I'm putting my money on a missing root CA. Is SNI actually necessary, though? Will you be doing HSTS? I've mad...

The forum might break for you! Test your browser now!

TL;DR - Make sure https://twokinds.net/forum/ works, otherwise you might lose access to the forum on Oct 3rd === For the past few months, the forum has been available over a properly secured connection instead of the normal unprotected connection. Securing the connection generally improves your secu...
